- 10 days ago i made a theory about how alastor is working for lilith. With the release of episode 5 and 6 of hazbin hotel, there’s some new info that makes the theory even more compelling. In this video i’ll discuss what alastor’s secret is, and whether or not he made a deal with lilith.

Theory time: Alastor got some of his power from Lilith in exchange Alastor would have to do a task for her. Lilith has ownership of his soul till the task is done and Alastor might also have a plan in the background to gain even more power after this is all done and over with.
But hey that’s just a theory, a film theory.

I like this theory because it doesn't say that she has permanent ownership I don't think unless it is the most extreme of offers or situations Al would ever give his soul permanently to someone with how hard he's worked to get where he is so a theory that it's only temporary or it's only a part of his soul makes a lot more sense for him
Also in the song Stayed gone Al had an interesting voice line "When im done your status quo will know its race is run"

This theory makes the most sense imo. Alastor's actions and defensiveness towards the hotel didn't feel like his own thoughts. He was just saying those things ti Mimzy because he had to
And even if he was only bored, there is still the question of why even bother protecting the Hotel from everyone and everything if he knows sinners aren't worthy of redemption.
That's why Zestial find it strange for him to be interested in hotel and already knew something was going on. Alastor claims to do it for "entertainment" cuz he's too proud to admit it. Also his attitude towards Lucyfer was too personal. So either Lilith defeated him 7 years ago when she saw his power hungry intentions in order to show him his place or he respect her and theres something between them

I agree with you . ‘ I can’t have that here’, is a possible subtle clue to that, but I find that more often than not subtle word choices can matter. It is not that he will not have it there (will being his will), but rather that he can not (he is not allowed to) have it there. Especially as Mimzy seemed so surprised that he said that, that for her it was so out of character for him. I just am uncertain to if it is a deal with Lilith that is causing his reaction, or a deal with someone else…
This is a very interesting theory. Maybe Lilith did send Alastor at the hotel to at least protect Charlie and everyone in the hotel. Also it is interesting that Alastor chained up Husk after what Husk says to Alastor while Husk is looking terrified, never mess with Alastor ever.😮😬
Also, the irony of Husk having made a deal with his soul to a Voodoo artist is not lost on me.

I really enjoy how there's a lot of mystery surrounding Alastor as a character. Like what happened 7 years ago? Did Lilith give Alastor a deal or contract that gave him a second chance upon facing death while helping her daugther? It's honestly exciting to see everyone's theories on him!
My guess is that Alastor and Lillith got into a fight close to one of the purges and Alastor could either die to Lillith, escape lillith and die in the purge, or exchange his soul. Alastor has been shown to be very powerful so far, so unless he was literally out of options I don't think he'd exchange his soul willingly.
Probably helping Charlie on Litlliths orders in exchange for his freedom. Makes me wonder if Lillith is trying to make or find some sort of neutral space outside of Heaven and Hell's realm where both can co-exist, which is the reason she left. Also quite possibly he's not the only demon on retainer if another randomly powerful demon thought to be extinct shows up.
Yk in the show, the fight between Vox and Alastor happened and Vox said Alastor ALMOST beat him. What if after this interaction between the two, Al went to Lilith to obtain power strong enough to defeat Vox if/when they fight again
If this theory is true, it makes me even more curious about Alastor and Lucifer. The whole Dad V. Dad thing is put in a whole new light if he's owned by Lillth
It’s possible Lilith (who was shown in the opening to revel in her demonic power and followers) wanted full revenge against heaven and was willing to go to war over it
However Lucifer didn’t agree, especially after Charlie was born. They disagreed on her upbringing (Luci not wanting conflict and to keep her safe while Lilith wanted to raise her as a weapon to fight heaven) so they split
Lilith probably left so that she could slowly gather her forces and prepare for the day they strike. She could have contracted Alastor at some point (maybe saving his life in exchange for servitude) and demanded he monitor her daughter’s situation to see if she’ll be useful or a hindrance during a possible war
Or maybe Lilith saw Adam's 'end game' plans coming (long before the issue of the angel's death, which he used as justification to escalate), & began making moves in the background (for years) to prepare for for the inevitable coming war. He has plenty of reasons to want revenge against Lucifer & Lilith.
I do agree that she tried to drive a wedge between Charlie & Lucifer because they disagreed on something important regarding their 'kingdom', the exterminations, possibly fighting back, & maybe Charlie's role in it.

Now it reminded me, if we link the pilot (which is most likely not canon at this point) with season 1, we know angels can be killed. Since the pilot’s events happened after an extermination, Lilith might already know one of the exorcists have been killed and sent Alastor to look out for Charlie (aka a weapon u mentioned) 😮
I still think it's funnier if alastors rivalry with lucifer is because of alastors fragile ego being crushed, but it's also funny if alastors opinion of lucifer is colored by Lilith talking shit about him behind his back
I think it's a bit of both. after lucifer insulted the hotel name, Alastor took that personally, but sort of didn't care. and then maybe Lilith told alastor to talk shit about lucifer, so it made sense as to why alastor was being a bitch.

Also, look at Alastors face when Lucifer comes in and touches Charlie. His eye is twitching. I also thought he mightve been competing with Lucifer bc he just likes the power struggle. But after that gaze, I just think he is really protective of Charlie. Whatever his reasons.

There’s a lot of dots to connect in which they all conclude to Lilith being a potential antagonist but some things are still unclear to why alastor would have to involve himself with Charlie and the redemption idea and giving the reason that’s it’s cause he’s bored but if Lilith has intentions but what are they and how does it circle to Charlie
Viv did mention that Rosie would act like a mother figure around Charlie, the pieces are all coming together
The way I see it, it’s possible Alastor overestimated his strength after his battle with Vox and tried to take on Lillith to trap her in his radio waves. That would line up with his past victims, as Lillith would basically be the ultimate Overlord. In their conflict, Lillith would’ve ended up taking Al’s soul herself, bringing him with her wherever she’s been for the past 7 years and winding him up in the position we find him within the show.
Oh shit. I just commented my theory but that would explain better how they met...he initially came for her to take on the top of the top and instead of either of them dying they joined forces because they have similar plans.
I felt like Alastor was extremely powerful because he made a deal with a voodoo spirit. Specifically Papa Legba. Alastor’s type of voodoo was normally mixed with catholicism which would explain the symbols and also the cross on his chest and also his strange moral code. Papa Legba ferries souls (I feel like he would only ferry those who conform to the belief system in this universe) over to the afterlife and I think Alastor made a deal for his soul in order to have a ton of power among manifesting in Hell when he met Papa Legba perhaps in limbo. In the trailer when alastor goes full beast mode, it almost looks like a portal opens behind him to another dimension (same one where the tentacles come from) and maybe there a voodoo pocket dimension. I feel like this would be a cool way to connect and mix different belief systems in this already very mixed and highly detailed iteration of the afterlife.
I like it, but I think you picked the wrong Loa. Kalfu can also allow souls thru the crossroads and grant them powers, plus Alastor is practically cosplaying as 'The Man In Red' which is a nickname of Kalfu.
@@ebonyblack4563 I just read about him. Yeah you’re 100% right. Down to things that Al says and does. Crossroads, the man in red, hot and tempered, his liking for hard liquor? Bro literally is modeling himself after a spirit he probably made a deal with. I’ll be very surprised if it actually is Lilith that he made a deal with. It’d be a more fitting twist if he made a deal like Dr. Facilier did and the end result was him selling his soul but still with a huge amount of power.

That aside, yes, right down to the things Viv has said he likes Alastor reflects the lore of Kalfu, minus that The Man In Red is said to be a flirt; though Al's taunting nature could sub for that. Kalfu is also said to not take responsibility for what those he empowers do, having a more karma will handle it approach, which in sympathetic magic does apply.
I’m honestly curious on what season 2 is going to be about. Because it feels like episode 7 and 8 are going to be about the characters banding together and going to war with heaven. But I just hope they’re given more episodes in season 2. Because season 1 was definitely a 12 episode season at least. And definitely needed more than 8 episodes to flesh everything out.
I bet you season 1 is gonna end on a cliffhanger.
Viv said the three Vs are planned to be (some of) the main antagonists in Season 2, so I’m wondering if Charlie & friends will establish the hotel by the end of Season 1, and then by Season 2, it’s more going to be focused around hell, taking in souls, and defending the hotel itself.
They’ve made it pretty clear that’s not really an option
Season 2 is gonna have the character's backstories (their pasts), and the antagonists will be the Vees.
We will also probably meet Baxter, along with some other new characters.

If Alastor made a contract with Lilith, other than explaining his great power and his disappearance but also gives me kind of an idea of his true motive and it is to make a deal with Charlie for her soul, gaining not only power but the chance to blackmail Lilith to free him and keep his power
it makes perfect sense that Lilith would want a serial killer with some sense of standards as well as a master to the radio, that involves solely broadcasting one's voice, within her service. it's possible she wanted him to help clean up the streets of hell, overthrowing overlords that would make it unsightly for her upcoming daughter. don't see any other reason why he'd be sour at the deal he made.
So watch Episode 5, go to roughly 4:55 - 4:57 and I didn't notice really on my first watch but the Camera tilts up as Charlie & Lucifer hug, juuust enough to see Alastor's eye twitching...
Also as soon as Lucifer steps through the door Alastor is pissed and both Al and Lilith have been gone for 7 years.
Lucifer wears a wedding ring style so my guess is that Lilth just went missing and they are still together, he also seems really worried when Charlie talks about wanting sinners to go into heaven and I believe Charlie said Kiki (the cat/key) was a gift to her from her mom before she went missing, I think heavens plan have something to do with Lilith missing which is why not only Lucifer seems weird about Charlie’s idea but also maybe Lilith wanted Charlie to do this in the first place
Little side note but when looking at the family photo on the wall Alastor expression changes when he looks at Lilith, dunno if it’s important but like it’s smth
This theory is fascinating, and I can see its potential. We know Rosie is set to speak in later episodes, plus both Alastor and Lilith have been gone for 7 years, which is too coincidental since the opening of episode one said Lilith empowered Hell with her voice, so what if she gave that power to Alastor where he used it to spread his influence on the radio and take control instantly, so maybe Litlith is the one that owns Alastor. You could be right that she sent him to protect her daughter's dream, though I wonder what Alastor gets out of all this? We still don't really know what his endgame is?
Lilith almost definitely has absolutely no faith in Charlie's dream, if she sent Alastor to protect her, it was just to make sure her daughter's naivety doesn't get her hurt or killed

Ehrlich gesagt erinnert mich diese Theorie an den Marvel-Comic-Bösewicht Docter Doom, der ebenfalls einen Deal mit dem Teufel machte und unvorstellbare Macht und Zauberei erlangte, dies aber alles nur tat, um das Leben seiner Mutter vor der Verdammnis in der Hölle zu retten.
I’m guessing that Alastor works for Lilith in exchange for the power he got.( his seven year time gap aligns with hers. Who knows what they were doing?) Now he wants full autonomy. I think there are hints. Lilith ordered him to probably protect Charlie from harm. In the end of the dad beat dad episode he told Mimsie to leave since she brought danger to the hotel. He almost seemed like he was obligated to do that and seemed pissed. Then Husk smirking behind him seems to imply that Alastair wasn’t fully doing that of his own volition. Maybe that’s why he hates Lucifer since he represents that higher power dynamic that controls him. I think he’s restrained from reigning* utter carnage due to Lilith. Somehow he could be trying to use Charlie to get his freedom. That’s just my guess though.
Zestial did say something interesting about when Alastor disappeared, he said that there were rumours floating around that Alastor “fell into holy arms” and Alastor commented that he was on a sabbatical which means: someone related to Heaven, not just Angels but rather Lilith. She is the only being that is a Sinner that lives in Heaven that is still is a Sinner, not Sir Pensious (may he be happy with Emily showing him all over the place, waiting for Cherri and everyone to come up someday) so when Alastor did make the deal it was to ensure that Lilith can get into Heaven without anyone noticing while Adam sneaks her into the place, because the shield he made in the final fight was only where Adam can break through while other Exorcists failed. Or: its possible that Alastor wanted peace to himself and agreed: to be in Heaven for an X amount of years and then when he had his peace, he would come back down to Hell, he would have to look after Charlie for Lilith, but what if he enjoyed heaven, but keeping his powers, be happy where he doesnt have to be concerned for others. But what is his exact deal that makes him want to escape from, its possible that he hates the concept of being shackled and even though his contract gives him a lot of freedom there must be ONE thing he cannot do. Attack Lilith? Heaven? Charlie? Or to openly steer her into a darker path? But we’ll see in the second season when Lilith’s deal with Adam is now voided and has to make a new one with Lute.
This is an interesting theory, but I think you're right about it, and we'll probably find out in the next few episodes that release. I kind of hope Lilith isn't Rosie though, I think she could be a nice character without secretly being Lilith but I don't mind that much it'd be cool anyway.

I do not think he had made the deal when he first arrived in Hell, but something happened 7 years ago that lead to the deal being struck, possibly involving him being injured during an extermination at the time. Hence the rumor that Zestial mentioned when meet him. Though it could just be a coincidence, granted I aint been much on those in shows since they always seem to be some kind of foreshadowing.
I think Alastor's microphone got damaged in his fight with Vox. I remember Viv previously said something basically meaning Alastor needed his microphone to talk. Imagine how desperate Alastor would be if he lost his voice.
Someone also said it could be Roo. Which I also could see, but I'm sticking with Lilith.
I just learned of the black eye theory stating those with black eyes have sold their soul.
Episode 6 showed that Angel Dust is only a slave to Valentino in the studio, which explains why he only has 1 black eye according to this theory.
Alastor has black eyes when he shows his power, while other overlords have red eyes when they use theirs.
This leads me to think that his power comes from Lillith and his powers are directly linked to his deal with her.
Even though Lilith and Alastor both disappeared seven years before the show takes place, the timeline doesn’t add up since Alastor died over 90 years ago and instantly became one of the most powerful sinners in hell. It makes me think he could have made a deal with Lilith after his battle with Vox, but his power must have a different source.
Sure he was already powerful but the way husk said "youve been gone a while and its not like anybody knows why" it implies that this 7 year absence of his was to gain more power than he had before. Essentially sometime around the start of that absence could be when alastor met lilith and obtained more power through a soul contract and has followed her for those years until she sent him to charlie
Could be eve, we have been told lilith is her mother but what if it's a lie and it's actually eve, maybe it's why her face keeps getting hidden or maybe we have seen her already secretly there this whole time

I think this could be true, but do we think other overlords are on Lilith's leash as well?
I mean Lilith being a true demon and so far not having seen her personality except lucifers soft side I wouldn't be suprised if she just took everyone unwillingly when she wanted if need be and force them into submission to sign a contract
I have theory (and I know this isn’t related) that Adam will actually fall end up in hell and not in way you think of heaven kick him out but by his own self conscious. Because if you look at some of the scenes in ep 6 we see he gets a bit nervous when the angles are looking at him at his asshole behaviour I think he is self conscious about the other angles and I think in the show it will get to a point where everyone go at him for basically being a straight villain that very very deep down he thinks that they might be right and that will cause his soul to go to hell turning into hell.
I think this could be a really interesting where someone from heaven fall before a demon get redeem with it with showing down rode answering question the angles why angle dust didn’t get redeem because deep he believes he deserves to be in hell and I think that and Adam up in hell and if this would end at the hotel not because not an asshole now definitely not but as attempt to get back his life but it will result actually getting redeemed because this show is about redeeming everyone. Except Val he can’t be redeemed.
Edit: this would explain why Adam is in hell to begin despite being a huge dick it’s because his extreme ego makes him think paramount of virtue.
This sounds like an interesting theory. I think Husk didn’t say that one line just to piss Alastor off. This seems like it was to strike at something. Also, it would be hilarious if Alastor and Lilith had the whole “Blitzø and Stolas” deal going on

i genuinely think alastor means well. there must be a reason why lilith can't interact with her daughter, and a reason why al sold his soul to her. perhaps he was forced to defend the hotel against his will but he'll learn to love it seeing as he can't stop anyway. maybe there's somethin' about lucifer we don't know, since i'm sure it wasn't part of lilith's plan for al to be genuinely pissed at lucifer, she probably just wanted him away from charlie.
but alastor genuinely hates lucifer for an unknown reason, and if he's just a bodyguard to lilith, why would she make him mad at lucifer? it should be as simple as "keep him away from my daughter" with no further explanation, but al has a personal vendetta against him.
i also think that he feels shame being a herald to someone above him, and seeing his own "pet" husk call him out on it probably just made him mad insecure. i don't think al hates husk or niffty in any way, since they do his bidding and husk only tries to help, but that moment when al gets mad is a moment of doing what he was being told by lilith (which was a distraction, hence why he brushed off husk and attempted to walk off) and nerves, seeing as husk is probably one of the only souls that knows about alastor's secret, and he's just embarrased about it and takes it out by threatening the one man aware of the situation.
in conclusion, i think that al has no bad intentions and will learn to love the main cast as the series develops (huge cope ik), he has a personal problem with lucifer for reasons unknown, and he has no hard feelings against husk but rather is seriously embarrassed that he's on an elite's leash and someone below him called him out.
idk if anyones talked about this but at eps 7 at 3:00 when alastors smiles before saying "i know something you dont know" and in eps 8 at 22:28 where it focuses "lilith" it plays the same little high pitch tune, may be nothin its just interesting

Two things 1 I love how Charlie dad is super short!. 2 I’m pretty someone has alstor soul as well just like how showed husker chains. Wouldn’t surprise me any Special with number 2. Big fan theory was answered next episode that vaggie is x Angel form Adams army, question is when will meet the mother.
I feel like this was the kind of deal where the deal maker doesn't use the other's services right away, but plans to use them later when the time comes. The exchange probably went:
Alastor: I want enough power to topple overlords.
Lilith: No problem, but in return you'll have to do something for me.
Alastor: Okay, what?
Lilith: As of right now I don't know yet, I'll just contact you when the time comes.
That would explain why Alastor was able to roam freely for decades until seven years ago.
I have a theory. I think there is no way Husk has ever met Lilith, so there are no possibilities of him referring to Lilith as the “owner of Alastor’s soul” in episode 5. Who I think Husk was referring to with the “leash” comment is Mimsy actually, in that situation she came to make Alastor clean up the mess she’s got into, and Husk hated her from the start of her arrival.
But, Alastor heating up that much only implies that there’s gotta be something bigger behind his disappearance, so I do believe Lilith somehow owns his soul or has a deal with Alastor.
There's that look he gives the family portrait in the pilot too.
Alastor’s backstory is so masteries that he’s pretty much become an evil Tom Bombadil.

I don't know if you've done a video on it yet but I was rewatching Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss when I noticed this owl looking character with a red heart for an eye who appears sometime in the Hazbin Hotel pilot, he also appears during episode 4 of Hazbin Hotel during the Poison sequence, next to Valentino, if I remember correctly, he is filming. He also appears during episode 3 of Helluva Boss in the line in front of Blitz's poster. I don't know where else he appears in Helluva Boss yet as I haven't finished re-watching it

*Alastor is working for a character named Roo* we’ve seen imagery of her in hell* and if you notice in Roos art by Vizie we actually see a lot of familiar things Alastor uses that being the eyeballs and tentacles which are actually Roots that if you noticed come from the earth

I have more evidence, when Alastor gets angry you can see an x on his forehead. Vaggie used to be an angle but let a child go so they ripped her eye out. In a/some clips we see Sera with multiple eyes. My theory is that Alastor made a deal with Lilith but the Seraphims found out and ripped his third eye out and banished him down to hell because Mimzy said he appeared in hell mysteriously

Another theory: what if its not lillith but eve who holds alastors contract? I think it could be pretty fitting because lets be honest alastor is a sadistic csnnibalistic psychopath (i still love him tho) and their plan could be for alastor to get as close to charlie as possible and hopefully strike a deal with her to fight heaven or overtake lucifer to make hell more well hellish.
My personal favorite is that Lilith "owns" Alastor soul in a... less slavy way. Alastor could be... Y know, Charlie's step dad (or he could be making brownie point to be so). That would fit with him rejecting every Angel, Misy etc, in his live.

Alastor is super confrontational because Alastor can't stand someone like himself. While it's most likely true he cut a deal with Lilith, I think this was done out of desperation. If it holds true, it's very possible Eve who is trapped within Lilith's mind has been slowly attempting to break free which leaves Lilith in a vulnerable state. My guess is Alistor had just fought Vox and lost and went to speak to Lilith because she is a singer and he was the radio demon so they run in similar circles as well as him being similar to Lucifer in many ways. It's possible she was going through a mental break and wanted to make a deal where if something happened he would show up and protect Charlie when she needs help. He agreed to the deal, Lilith siphoned her power, and he got stronger as a result. It's likely part of the deal will free him if he can fulfill the promise of making Charlie's dreams come true. I'm assuming Lilith lost her mental battle and has gone missing as a result because Eve, who was sealed inside her mind, finally found a way to break free. Not sure if they are going to make these 2 character 1 in the same as the show seems to paint them as separate, but that could also be a twist on multiple personality disorder spun to her daughter. Adam has never even bothered to make any mention of Eve yet either even when confronting Charlie who he should loathe if Lilith really did screw him over. My guess about Alastor overall being at odds with Lucifer is because if Lucifer makes Charlie's dreams a reality with his help, it won't count as Alastor doing what he promised to Lilith and he won't be able to claim the contract.

if lilith has alastor on a leash like the theory says. Alastor could not like Lucifer because lilith could've been taking out anger and frustration on him OR using alastor as a therapist (alastors the type of guy to not give a shit) thats why it seems like alastor has a grudge against him. A
lastor also seems like hes trying to get freindly with Charlie not only because he was possibly assigned by lilith to do it but also strike a deal with charlie to some way "unleash himself" without losing any of his benefits in the prosses. IF he actually is leashed by lilith this makes his behavior make sense

Before Alastor takes care of the attackers, Vaggie tells everyone to get a safe distance and that she'll handle them, but that Alastor says, "No my dear, leave it to me. *It's time I remind everyone why I am here.* "
Then he proceeds to kill the attackers, thus protecting the hotel. So in a way, Alastor himself tells us that he's here to protect the hotel.
Reminds me of one of the last alastor scenes at the end of the finale. Alastor sing of a backdoor to a deal he made. Was he singing about a deal with Lilith?

I really like this theory, but after watching the rest of the season I’m not quite sure how Lilith would be controlling him from were she currently is. (Trying not to spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t watched the rest of the season yet) but I really love this theory and would like to see it happen

I definitely agree Alastor is linked to Lilith, in all likelihood she holds his soul and has a plan - one he is actually happy to go along with, in exchange she gave him power seeing as her advantage is that she was the first ever sinner, just as Adam was the first ever entrant into heaven. He bartered his soul for the power to become an overlord and Lilith is second only to Lucifer though we don't necessarily know why (the power rankings raise the question of whether it is Influence, Souls they control, etc).
It is also possible Alastor wants Charlie's soul so he can trade it for his own freedom, hence the preludes to Ep. 7 and the implications everyone is drawing about the way that conversation will go.
Worth noting is that Charlie never uses her status or her magic to her advantage and Lilith may be trying to push her to do so because she is somewhat co-dependent on others. The point about Lilith sending Alastor to protect the hotel sound pretty on the nose. Lilith is, after all, highlighted in the first Episode as being someone who wanted equality and even equity.
There's also the Song element to consider. In Episode 1 Lilith's song empowered demons, she needs them to hear it and Vox, while powerful, is aligned with a monster like Valentino, someone whom Lilith would never align with. So Alastor is the better choice, not least of all because he's got an appreciation for talent. Song is powerful in the show, and Lilith thrived in Hell with her song raising others, expanding the realm, perhaps she intends to broadcast her song in the battle at the hotel? Turning the tables and planting a flag for rebellion. After all, her poster in the background scenes did have "Riot" on it. Maybe the torture of the defeated Overlords was just a test run for what she needed Alastor to do.
Final point in my long blabbing ramble. Eve seems to be the host for Evil (rather than evil itself), the episode 1 silhouette matched the drawings of Roo but the apple of knowledge was shown to have a sliver of darkness in it because when mankind has free will it has the free will to choose evil (or to let evil happen in some cases). If Eve is the carrier of the Root of Evil she may have encouraged Lilith, Sera, Adam but just as easily, given her proclivity for the color red, could have imbued Alastor with his powers. If that is the case maybe she's trying to "co-opt" Lilith into waging war on the heavenly forces that locked her out.

This theory to me makes sense but, I've just been trying to find how or why lilith would control alastor also how Husk would even know. So far my reasoning to why would be the radio show. The broadcasting expecially, sure alastor couldve just set it up but wouldnt he need approval from upper somehow? Someone like lilith could of approved it but offered alastor a deal that benefited. How does this benefit lilith, she sings to motivate the sinners. The radio show could be used to forward her singing to more people. Still trying to find an area that Husk fits into it. So far its all guessing and hypothsises with tiny bonestructure. But it gives me a bit of why would alastor asign to an agreement.
I personally don't think lillith is disguised as rosie but Alastor wanting to defend the hotel because he works for Lillith is an interesting theory!!! In the end of s1 in his song he mentions that once his wings are unclipped (gets off lilliths leash) he can betray the hotel and probably take over hell
It’s actually been confirmed because in episode 8 one of the songs Alastor said he’s hungry for freedom and a another clip he says there has to be a back door of the deal
I have a bit of a further theory, 'cause I keep hearing that Alastor is probably at the hotel just because whoever's got him chained sent him there, which I do think is the most likely. But I also wonder if Alastor doesn't maybe also want the hotel to work, because maybe if he gets redeemed he could escape whoever chained him.
Of course this might seem more complicated with Lilith turning out to be in heaven and all, but I do think that maybe contracts get annulated when someone gets redeemed.

Everyone keeps saying that Alastor shows up right after the phone call, but he first showed up in the TV station, watching the disastrous hotel announcement. Hard to tell if he showed up now because Lilith learned of Charlie's plan or because whatever he and Lilith are planning is finally ready to kick off and she wants to keep her daughter safe.
well, he saw the news broadcast at least, he wasnt in the studio. But thats so a point i keep making. it *could* be foreshadowing sure, but its also possibly just coincidence of story pacing.
There are either two possibilities, one is that this theory is correct, since it makes sense and supposedly everything adds up, or there's gonna be a huge plot twist on this

When alastor was talking about his freedom he was associated with green. Whoever owns him is heavily associated with green and the biggest and the most logical answer could be Charlie's ex boyfriend's family
I love your theory it really got the gears turning in my head. However I would like to point out a possible theory. Feel free to scream at me but it won’t change my mind.
My thought process is as follows: Mimze mentions that Alastor was murdering other demon lords. I believe that Alastor was gaining power from killing other demon lords so when Charlie was born a chance to murder a morningStar became a possibility my thought process is he might take it. Why you might ask? Well to become more powerful, why else. I believe Lilith might have known that Charlie was at a possible risk so she confronted Alastor and made a deal. Now I don’t know what the deal might be, but it might be something along the line of (Lilith shares her power with Alastor and in return he protects Charlie). It would also insure Charlie’s safety.
Now I will say again, this is 99% not likely of what happened BUT it would kinda be cool and kinda explain Lilith’s absence.

My theory is that Husk meant Alastor basically working for Charlie because it gets him protected from Charlie 'Purifing' everything. And he's upset about Lucifer because he gets in the way of him and Charlie.
He makes several comments about Charlie being the daughter he never had. Probably to manipulate Charlie. And to anger Lucifer, probably leading to an angry meltdown, meaning he can distance Charlie from her father, and make her distrust Lucifer.

my theory for why alastor started with as much power as he did is that he probably had some kind of advantage through his voodoo in some way, but i dont know anything about it so that's pure guesswork.
There definitely seems to be a lot to suggest alastor may be in a deal with lillith, the show has put a fair amount of effort to make sure the audience knows both were missing in some way for the last seven years, but whether alastor is there on order of lillith to help, hinder, inform, or on some personal gain, there is just no telling. It would be interesting if alastor and lillith were together, and he was actually trying to take the dad role. The head turn during the song and the zoom in vould be like a minor 4th wall break hinting to its significance even. However, i doubt that is the case, and think it was just meant to be a jab at lucifer to rile him up. Hopefully we will learn more about his intentions by the end of season one, but my guess is that will remain a mystery for season 2
Is it wrong to say that Lilith has trust issues? After all, the first man she ever dealt with in her life was an entitled misogynistic tribal chieftain that most likely treated her as his own property. And while Lucifer did treat her better than Adam, the fact that he spent more time either being depressed or working on his passion projects rather than being with her left her devastated emotionally. And that resulted in her leaving him in the end.

Vivziepop has said Alastor died in 1933 between his late 30s to early 40s. Yes, while Charlie is older she is emotionally much younger than Al.
When vestial mentioned rumors that Alastor had "fallen into holy arms," I'm 95% sure he's talking about whatever sort of dealings he has with Lilith (and whatever that deal has in relation to the other angels/exorcists)
I think Alestor is a mentor figure,but hell being hell, his ways are... well let's just say Charlie's sugar and sprinkles tone won't get through to people. Alestor however seems to tune into how to "get through to people". The way husker can read through people's facade. As a combo husk points out the core issue, and alestor torment/teaches the lesson that will reach them.
Husk's power is reading people, that's how he's able to tell that Alastor is on a leash

I am left with one question...why Alastor seems so upset that Lilith possesses his soul? and why does Husker know it knowing that he doesn't know the reason for his absence for 7 years? Did Alastor make a deal with Lilith during his 7 year absence or when he arrived in hell? I would also like to see Adam again and for him to tell us more about Eve and what happened to her? I think he would have noticed her disappearance if she was pretending to be Lilith and especially why she takes Charlie from Lucifer's arms in the flashback it doesn't seem to bother anyone but I can't remove the impression that Lilith want to keep Charlie and his father away
I feel like something to keep in mind is that one of the things that is pushed is that Lilith is a singer. When Alistor arrives in hell he brought the knowledge of the technology with him? what better way to spread her song than through a radio broadcast. She could have sought him out and given him additional power in order for his broadcast to thrive and maybe the old overlords where getting a bit too big for their britches. So deal with Alistor, immense power for control.

What if Alastor originally made a deal with the Von Eldritch family? While watching the episodes, it was pointed out to me how Alastor's powers seem very eldritch in nature. With Lovecraft's works getting published the 20s and 30s, this does fit the timeline.
So what if, before dying, Alastor had some sort of deal ith the Von Eldritch family, thus explaining his unusual power when arriving in hell, but also could be another connection to Lilith, with the Von Eldritch family being quite close to the Morning Stars-
