Drawcia Soul from Kirby Canvas Curse on Super Mario Paint

- More quarantine creativity! This is a song I've wanted to do for a while. It's so strange and chaotic, and I wanted to see if I could pull it off in Super Mario Paint! Check out the original song if you haven't heard it so you can see what I mean. The first half of it is jarring and has an odd rhythm, but the second half of it is quintessentially Kirby. And the whole thing is fast.
I'm loving Super Mario Paint already! As it stands right now, Giant Mario Paint is out of the question for me because the program doesn't display properly on my computer. But it's no biggie.

My old comment on this have disappeared, but You + Kirby music is a recipe for the best Mario Paint videos ever. Truly insane work to make sure the rhythms are as erratic as the original, definitely up there with my favorite MPC covers along with your classic Meta Knight cover. The fact I was lucky enough to see this whilst recording had my jaw dropped to the floor LMAO

I'm really glad you love this Drawcia Soul arrangement, I actually feel now that I could have improved on it lol. I need to make more Kirby stuff; I've mentioned it in another video but I have Vs. Magolor partially made, hopefully I can complete that sooner rather than later! That will be a fun one to finish. I also want to listen through the Forgotten Land soundtrack for some Paint ideas too.

Yoooo, dude, I didn't realize you were back doing Mario Paint stuff. What a pleasant surprise. And dear god, you're right about how chaotic this song is. Even for Kirby, a series that's no stranger to unsettling things, this song just feels so alien and out there. You did a fantastic job recreating that feeling. This one must've been a real time-consumer with all the crazy SFX. There's a spot reserved in the favorites playlist for this one. Good to see you still kicking ass at this.

Hey Pokesonic! I keep your new name change in mind. Yeah, I'm surprised too! It's really the quarantine that's allowing me to have more free time for once, so I'm trying to milk it as best I can.
Drawcia Soul is definitely a weird song, like it wants to prevent you from being able to sing it. The effects didn't take a lot of time, but figuring out the rhythm and dynamics did, I was constantly going back in and changing things. It's still not perfect, but it's as close as I can replicate it with the limited canvas space (pun intended) on SMP even at dickspeed.
