- Composed by the blind Irish harper, Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738).
Just a simple arrangement of this very beautiful Irish tune that has been a favourite of mine for many years. I've missed playing traditional music.

Branna Laurelin definitely worthy of a cup of mead! Then again i think I've felt that way about most of your traditional\medieval type cover harp videos. Have you any plans to do more harp covers of European folk songs at all?

To be fair to Led Zeppelin, Carolan himself ripped this off from the fairy folk.
Sorry for the stupid question, is it Carolan's Dream or O'Carolan's Dream? I've seen it listed as both, and the harper's name is O'Carolan.
Usually with his songs I almost always see them listed without the O'... Like Carolan's Dream, Carolan's Concerto, Carolan's Farewell to Music, Carolan's Cottage, Carolan's Quarrel with the Landlady. I don't know if he himself named them that way, but I think it is likely because it rings better. His name was O'Carolan - actually Ó Cearbhallain - but Carolan is still his last name (the Ó is just an article denoting his ancestry - he is descended from someone named Cearbhallain, or this might be a family name.
Sorry I know too much about Irish names as I have a degree in the Irish language xD
You have a degree in Irish?? That's pretty unusual for a Norwegian! I have Irish relatives :)
Yeah, it really is unusual! There's only a handful of us, and we're all educated by the same professor haha. But it was a really fun education, even though it wasn't really useful career-wise.
