Last year I was all about finding a harpist to do what Florence and the Machine does, but I lost a bit of steam... not everyone wants to carry around their grand harp on their back! Grateful you always are. ;) Joanna Newsom says it's like a part of her body, do you feel the same way?
Haha, why do you think i learned ukulele ? Even if i play the celtic harp and not the grand, it's quite exhausting to carry it ! I don't really feel like it's a part of my body, i'm not even sure i feel like i'm a harpist ^^ But if you really want to find one, i'm sure you will (but the guy who plays with Florence and the machine is incredible, find another one like him won't be easy). How's Larkspur going ?
Ahh okay, good to know. Not all of us are born with an instrument on our arm. I'll keep an eye out for incredible harpists (you aside), but my need for a harpist is a little less now that I'm writing songs on autoharp again. Not the same, but close enough for me, and very light and easy to play while I sing. :) Larkspur is going well, seems like we've got some good momentum now that we have a good album. It's nice being in a group with my best friends, so even when it's hard, we have our shared care for each other. How are your projects going? I enjoyed playing Jamais Seul to myself while I did some work yesterday-- so nice to have in the background!
Thank you ! You're right, i based my interpretation on Mark Harmer's version which is quite fast, but his intention is more sensible than mine and works way better :) Check it out if you're looking for a beautiful version of this tune ! My harp is made by Camac, and it's a Melusine.
Arthur - Coriolan I know very well the Harmer's version, it's my favourite. :-D I listened at your video because of that. You play very good, my compliment. I have heard by person the melusine but at the time didin't played so good, so double compliments. :-D
