Arrangement, harp and vocals by me.
This is a song that is extremely dear to my heart, so I had been hesitating to cover it for fear that I wouldn't be able to pull it off. But then my patron Waleed requested it as a reward on Patreon, and I gave it my best effort. I'm so grateful I was given the boost I needed to do this special song! I must admit that I cried a few times during the long process of arranging, practicing, recording and filming this song, because of all the feels...

I hate HATE when people sing but the second you started singing I raised my eyebrows and was like "Woaaaaaah" you sang this amazingly, very little moments where I was like meh the rest of the song are all me amazed.

Finding covers of video game music is a hobby of mine, and Eyes on Me is a song I love dearly because Final Fantasy VIII is my favorite game in the series. Thank you for sharing your beautiful voice and harp, I can feel that this song is very special to you. I played Final Fantasy games as a child, before internet, and never ever imagined these games would become so popular world wide. It is amazing to see people all over the world play FF music so beautifully in their own arrangements. I started to learn lever harp just 2 years ago, and Final Fantasy songs are very difficult to play with lever harps and you gave me a courage to give it a go!! (from Japan)

Such a brilliant cover. Brings back good memories of playing FF8 when I was younger, I find the music in final fantasy is very powerful and always brings back good memories when I hear them. This song is a guilty pleasure of mine. Guys aren't supposed to like this sort of thing, but FF8 was my favorite FF. Being an introverted sort of guy, I could relate to Squall. I hope I can find the things he found on his journey one day...

Sorry, but hearing phrases like "guys aren't supposed to like ..." always makes me roll my eyes a bit. Who cares what guys or girls are supposed to like or how they are supposed to be? Why can't we all just like the things that we like? I know PLENTY of guys who love FF! It's not like it's a girls' game :p Don't be ashamed to enjoy the things that make you happy :)

Most women want a masculine partner, or at least one who SEEMS that way to everyone else. It's not the game that is in question, but rather the love song. I think that's why not many guys will claim FF8 as their favorite, since the story is completely about love. Squall and Rinoa's love for each other, and Ultimecia's of herself.
