This video shows the construction process of a building's foundation. The narrator, who has been visualizing the project through 3D modeling, is excited to see the foundation taking shape. The crew encounters some challenges, such as missing rebar and the need to adjust the steel mat placement. They also work on extending the formwork to the desired wall height, using wood and screws., and the crew receives a surprise gift from their retired employee Arlo. Throughout, the narrator provides insights into the construction techniques and the reasons behind their decisions to deviate from the original plans. The overall tone is one of camaraderie and enthusiasm for the progress of the project.

At least the commercials are giving a sneak peak into what is coming up next on the build.
@@MyLilMule haha yeah spoiler alert!
This is a good one. When the Carpenter Extraordinairé comes with gifts a while after he’s retire with serious woodworking chisel slicks for all. That there is brotherhood. ❤❤

Arlo is like the most amazing human being what a guy personalised chisels, he is a proper top bloke
That face when he said “ I love the smell of wood in the morning” 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve been waiting weeks for those forms to get poured, but then you switch to the “Keeps” ad with Jamie, and the finished walls are in the background! For a brief moment I thought you were going to deny me the satisfaction of that big cement pour video!
😂
Also caught that immediately.
Thought that to ahahah I was like really you guys how could you not film the pour ahah 😂
Omg my exact sentiments 😂
Arlo is a LEGEND!
Arlo misses working with you guys hire him back part time 😊😊😊
yeah he is awesome !
The 'Wizard'
I can't believe I've watched 11 episodes about putting lube on sheets of metal, wiring rebar together and knocking pegs threw!
And loved every second of it! These guys are awesome. Go Arlo.
You know why, though. We’re all looking forward to the pour video(s).
@@infiniteaaron and the 3 videos on the suspended slab, and the video on that vault door. Just so much to look forward to on this one.
When the concrete?😂
@@GraingerProductions agreed!
So glad to see Arlo
Proof once again that Arlo is the best!
Arlo is getting younger every time we see him! Bring him back, he isn't ready for retirement!
I still miss him!!!
#keepalroretired
Make that WW ARLO DO Tshirt and feed the revenue to Arlos retirement funds!
And let's hope Arlo makes a guest appearance every now and then :)
Life is so much better with Perkins builder brothers (and the crew) of course 👍
Great seeing Arlo again, you can tell how tight this group is, good to have friends! thanks for the video as always. I did notice when you let Jamie do the bit for Keeps, I couldn't help but notice that the concrete walls were poured and the supports were being dismantled so that was in the future kinda deal, what a project you guys took on !!!
Great to see Arlo !!!
I know these houses are all built in the mountains, where the view is everything. But, I have to say, I would die without a garden.
Got a little teary-eyed with Arlo.
Yeah, Arlo misses the guys for sure. It’s cool when you go to work and all your best friends are there. ❤
How much did his GoFundMe eventually get up to?? $75k??
OOOH Part 11. So exciting. And Eric's wearing his grandmother's curtains again. Bliss.
LOL..
I'm so looking forward to episode 45, where the forms will come off. 😆
I aspire to be like Arlo(I’m 29). Just a solid GOOD man. Great content gentlemen. Love y’all
The view alone would motivate me to go to work on this job, that blue sky and those mountains are majestic. Great job so far and i'm really looking forward to the pour. I hope all your hard work and diligence pays off. Thanks for sharing guys.
Hi guys...I was tired of seeing so many concrete forms, but when Jamie showed up doing the ad and I saw that cured and dry concrete behind me I was very happy. I can't wait to see the wood arriving at the construction site. It was great to see Arlo again and I'm thrilled with the team...great guy. Big hug from São Paulo - Brazil.
I see we got a sneak peek at the finished wall. Thanks Keeps.
Arlo wanted a hug 😢
Arlo!! It's so good to see him!
Always great to see Arlo show up. He’s got a great personality and should have his own UA-cam channel now he’s retired.
I think the wine vault room is awesome.
Glad to see Jason got his invisible shirt back!
Happy 4th Gents! Good to see Arlo!
Thank you for sharing
This job is so damned crazy 😂 EVERYTHING IS BIG, happy 4th you guys, thanks for the great content!
Love seeing Arlo again!!
Man this is a massive build! Looking forward to seeing how these concrete walls are poured!
Great job guys
There is no parallel to Mr Arlo love to see you sir may God you all
Great to see Arlo, he looks bored! LOL Great video, I enjoy watching them so keep them coming, guys!!
Your so close to a million subscribers! When you hit it, invite Arlo back and have a party.
Thank you Argo for recognising your boss. It’s rare that workers acknowledge this.
It was great to see you guys again today. The last day of form work at least 😀 huge respect from the UK 🇬🇧 👏
The pour is always my favorite part, so hopefully, we get that next episode.
Arlo!! The man, the myth, and definitely the LEGEND!!
1 million subs coming up 🎉 Happy 4th y'all
I saw that drawing of someone giving the middle finger. Sneaky sneaky.....lol😂

Love it when Arlo does a cameo.
Arlo is a carpenter for life. Have him on the jobsite doing stuff part-time. Gotta keep him in the game.
Arlo FTW
Really good to see Arlo again, and the best part is HE's NOT WORKING! 👍😁
When I started construction, I was on a form crew. That was the summer of 2000 after high school. We did commercial construction so some jobs were big. Watching you guys do the work with the symons forms brought back some fun memories. I almost miss the smell of form oil. But my back may think differently these days. Good work fellas and happy 4th!
Great to see Arlo. He needs to make more cameo appearances
Man I can't wait for concrete day this project has been so exciting. Watching from the Bahamas love the work you guys do. I just say slap wall construction seem to be more tedious than using blocks with rebar cross lay on every row but I understand that it also is acting as a retaining wall also.
Arlo is the greatest! ❤
Larry haun is awesome, very professional
I LOVE my Robert Sorbey chisels
*** 'plywood forms'
Larry Haun is the Man
Still find it fun 😂great video again good to see Arlo 🎉surprise Five P😝Prior, planning, prevents, piss, poor, performance 😮
In the last video, you spoke about not always having the right tools. In my career , as a firefighter, I found that I never had every tool I wanted for the job at hand. The challenge, and what made the job so much fun, was figuring out how to complete the job with what we had on the truck/engine. Having worked in home improvement /handyman field for the last 20 years, I have realized I would need a 40’ trailer to haul all the tools I need. So, don’t sweat the small stuff. Keep the videos coming.
I work in fire protection. I tell people that the tools you can always count on firefighters having are those that get them into a building, and would they rather they use their key box key as the tool, or the axes and halligan. That usually sways them to get me a Knox box 😂.
I think you need to convert a small covered trailer into a mobile office… bc that’d be awesome…. And helpful
Arlo seems like such a genuinely nice person, good to see him again
Can’t wait for episode 238 around the Fall of 2026 on this house. Lol
Max has already aged 10 years since working w yall 🤣🤣🤣
I love the old Larry Haun videos. 10/10 recommended
Ummm, no speed square in 60s. Just tick and cut
@@billhollin6206
Albert Swanson invented the speed square in 1925. Larry Haun just didn't need them, with the speed and accuracy he had.
Hope max stays for the future need to invest in the next Gen of constructors
Hi Arlo,, your looking amazing
I was going to ask when is the cement pour, but I seen it is done during the sponsor part of the video. Looking forward to the next video.
Happy 4th of July everyone 🎉🇺🇸
Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
I love how Eric said he's not using a speed square, and Jamie is just .... Um-sure-I-support-you-brother-but-are-you-SURE
So early! Happy 4th of July PBB and crew. Hope you have fun plans for the day! 🎆🎇
@perkens builder Brothers. Hey Jamie and crew. It is actually advised that architects add in "as contractor recommends" or something like that. As we can get into alot of trouble if we had said 1234 and then 1234 is the cause of a missive failure. Thus the annotations as recommended by engineer/contracto/plumber/electrician exists. To cover everyone's butts as needed
It's great to see Arlo dropping by from time to time ♥
4:18 SEATBELT, Son!
1 minute in Jamie hit the nail on the head. That feeling is so cool and unique, it’s why I’ve been working in trades for 12 years now. Loving this build. Cheers!
Walls look great during the”Keeps” promo.
Noticed that too
I’m guessing that you guys (all y’all) are thinking it would have been better to hire the forms out…. But you made the best of it (so far) and you are all learning a new set of skills (and how to design this stuff for the Perkins). I sure do love your content fellas, keep them Coming!
Nice job as usual. Great to see Arlo again. Where did you get your American flag hats?
Belt up, Max.
Wow I want one of them Arlo chisels, and the concrete walls look straight and even, this is not a spoiler comment but the concrete work came out great though, can wait to see how you guys had do the pouring.
How fortunate for Matt to learn from the best.
I was thinking the same thing!!
This place must be something else !! What in the world is it ?? The people , who are having it built , must have a lot of money .. I can't wait to see it , when it is finished .OMG !! I LOVE YOU ALL @ P.B.B.!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
This is a jobsite that someone actually is happy to get too. So much friendship and comedy...the day must fly by.
Thanks for the spoiler in the keeps ad
yea the forms are stripped and in this video they ain't even poured the concrete, ERIK?????
I saw that too !!
Nice to see the walls came out pretty nice...😂
I was like wait a second
Haha. I think it’s funny
its funny that the keeps ad spot was done AFTER the pour :p
that threw me for a loop
You guys dropped a spoiler on the concrete walls being done in your advert part...😂💙
Yahooo...
Grtz from the netherlands 🇳🇱
ground rod for rebar needed , hint clue, ask around 40 yrs exp inspctr, civil eng
Arlo!!!
Happy 4th of July to the Perkins Builder Brothers team!!!! I watch you all the time! I spent 43 years in construction!!!! God bless you all and stay safe!!!!!
So crazy, in Cali we would have to drill at least 65' and shore up the road above using shotcrete method from caisson-to-caisson, but for that job we would drill and use Sono-tube to complete the height, I would love to be a part of your team, my daughter wants to go to school out there for they have the programs she needs for her carrier and cheaper classes and some are included, so yeah I'm willing to, and would love to make the change for the better, and the weather is fairly the same as California.
College educated Max and he still doesn't know how to wear a seatbelt. MAX you aren't leading by example, buckle UP buddy!!
All those screws in the top blocks will come back to haunt you guys when you strip the forms. Should of all been duplex 12s
1M subs.Congrats!
Last video of formwork, happy
Hey guys happy 4th of July 🎉🎉
Wow the keeps add appears with the concrete having been poured, and forms down in background, but in the video we haven't seen the finished form work yet.
Y'all are getting mighty close to 1,000,000 subscribers! How exciting!
It was good to see Arlo, and those were sweet gifts.
And Max, young man, please wear your seatbelt. I'm sure I sound like so many others out there, but it's really that important.
40 years ago. On a speed-framing crew in Colorado. No squares allowed on boards 2x6 or smaller. Pull the tape, mark a line, place the Skill Saw shoe onto the edge of the board, eyeball it square, drop the blade onto the middle of the board and run it through. Boss had either broken off all the blade guards, or wedged them up with a 16d nail. Very un-OSHA. A house frame done every Thursday, basement foundation to 2nd floor roof decking. Bada Bing! I was 24. That job taught me how to produce. Boss was a dick.
Happy 4th Perkins crew! Great to see you all!
Im loving these guest appearances by Arlo!
Everybody's crying about the wall spoiler in the ad... and here's me, who fast forwards through them, so i didn't see it 🤣
So is the new super duty just the boat hauler now?
The other day I told my girlfriend I thought she drew her eyebrows too high.... She looked surprised
Congrats on almost 1M subscribers! This build is so cool! Also, Arlo is a gem.💎 😂❤
ARLO!!!!!!!❤
Man the foundation and base walls are taking some serious work. This project is probably the most involved foundation I've seen you guys do.
