Hi Dan. Thank you so much to share us your gaming setup. I'm impressed how many things you put on it to make your gaming sessions way more realistic. It is amazing. I didn't expect it was so impressive. I can't wait to see the second part of the video. Thanks again and keep it up Dan
Thanks Andrew. I do like to tinker so building the panel was pretty straightforward. I needed lots of You Tube help to figure out how to wire up the switches and Rotary Encoders. That was actually pretty easy. It probably wouldn't be too hard to make a dash out of some nice 1/8" veneered wood paneling with some kind of framework for support.
Thanks! I was originally saving that Lian Li case to maybe build a data atorage unit but it had been sitting around for 20 years! In the end I'm glad it found a new purpose.
Thanks Tyler. I appreciate the comment. There are quite a few videos out on You Tube explaining how to build your own button box. I just expanded on what they showed me.
There are some update videos that may help you out. I took it apart and put a wood face on the panel. Watching the rebuild videos may help you come up with a plan for your panel.
Thanks Stang. There was no programming required. The switch signal to the arduino is sensed as a key stroke that can be mapped in the game settings. Very easy. I do use 6 rotary encoders which I run on Leo Bodnar boards. The actual model name is in the PC Specs at the bottom of the video description.
Yep. I made a video series where I took it apart and put the wood veneer on. I also moved the ignition switch and added an extension on the right side for my Stream Deck and a clock.
Absolutely love how you have the Stream Deck set up and not sure why I didn’t think of using it for in game stuff as well. 👍🏼

Thanks Corentin!
Wow you have some serious craftsmanship skills. I’m jealous of your setup 😂

That's cool as shit man. Great job! 👍 I love when people take stuff around the house or what they got and making something out of it. Awesome 👌

Nice setup, really cool how you built it yourself.

So cool. I looking for ideas for my own sim rig. This is amazing

Nice!
Thanks Matt!

We got the same wheel!
Great set up. Did you do all your own programming for arduino?

Are you still using this one in 2024?
Yep. I made a video series where I took it apart and put the wood veneer on. I also moved the ignition switch and added an extension on the right side for my Stream Deck and a clock.
Is Darren Hanson on this one?
Darren says hello! He has his own channel, ATS Expansion. This is Ride Along with Goggles. Do you have a link to his UA-cam channel?
This would be pretty sick if you retire from trucking and end up creating something like this to do if u ever felt the want or retired in general
I am retired.
Hey Dan how are you doing? Do you ever go fishing?
It's been a long time since I've gone fishing. Probably 25 years or so.
@@danmcnarry why did you stop? Canada has plenty of spots to fish
i want that
