I watched Ms. Pam here on UA-cam for the NCE. I also did the behavioral health app. I paid for the 6 months to get all 800 of the questions in the bank. I took mine April 2023 and passed 😊
Hi, first thank you so much for your videos. They have helped a lot. I followed your steps on how to register for the NCE. I have a question. I received an email stating that I signed up for for both the licensure and the certification which administer the same exam. I looked it up and felt that obtaining the licensure would benefit me because I live in the state of Texas. So I started the process of getting a refund for the certification (NCC). Today I find myself with anxiety because I am overthinking it that I might have made a mistake and canceling to obtain my certification versus getting the licensure. but then in reading under the state of Texas, it sounds like either or will still give me the ability to become an LPC and practice as a counselor. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you so much for your inspiration and for sharing your journey with us.
Hi! First off I'm really happy for you! And you can definitely do either. I know more counselors that go the NCE route and it all depends on what you want to do. You don't have to do both unless you want to so as long as you picked one you're good. I get what you mean about feeling anxious though, any certifications are just extra but you don't need them. If you really want it though you can get it later too.@@lauracavazos347
