I unironically think a Newgrounds iceberg would be a cool idea, and a good excuse to collab with cool people
It's something I've thought about briefly.
I think there is some really crazy stories on the BBS and such. But I feel that I'm not familiar enough with a lot of that to do it justice. I won't rule it out. But my focus will remain on character/series/developer histories for now
@@2leftthumbs Fair enough, after all individual people are messy. But if you ever cover one, Piconjo should be it.
I feel a strong need to keep going on, but instead I'll just say. If you do it, get in contact with BluShades, and maybe Bedhead Bernie
The OG NG crew are very open to talk about stuff. The Spirit Science Guy started on Newgrounds lol

Even tho i started to truly knew Tankmen cuz of FNF, as most people, i kind of knew him with these website that just steal flash games
I always saw Tankmen in the intros but never knew who he truly was, but it doesn't really MATTER how you knew him. We all know he is a goddamn legend.
True lmao. I live in a non English-speaking country so I'd get all my games from other sites. Played a bunch of Newgrounds classics like Dad N' Me and the Henry Stickmin games there but I never knew that Tankman was more than a logo. I only found out about the Tankmen videos recently when I was looking through Flashpoint for animations.
Nevertheless, it doesn't matter if you knew who he is or what is his origin, most people who saw him will remember it for the rest of their lives.
I have played some games in Newgrounds in the past and seen the logo of Tankman, but I never knew there was an entire series.
Same here
I only got fully introduced to tanoman from week 7 but I did some proper research I liked normal tankman
Same here for me. I only knew him as a logo for newgrounds
It's insane that you got jeff for this video, he's usually so busy with his daily angryjoe marathons
Really? I heard he never shuts up about Markiplier. Has his videos on a 24 hour loop in the Newgrounds office and it drives Tom crazy.

CURSE THIS METAPHORICAL ANCHOR
"Should've used the Pythagorean Theorem, bitch" is my favorite line in the series
Me too
Hey Graeme
Did Jeff ever tell you about the time where one morning, he woke up and after he saw his own reflection, he fell in love with it?
He’d often cover his big beautiful lips in lipstick, put on women’s clothing and talk to himself in the most Marge Simpson-esque voice he could manage. I only mention this because I once met him at a convention and he wouldn’t stop telling my friends and I about it.
He also mentioned some new Sonic animations while insisting something along the lines of “Sonic’s arms will be the right colour this time” (?) and how much reddit gold he’d invested in that week.
We were gonna ask him about Nightmare Cops, but before we could, he started making motorbike noises with his mouth and getting spit all over his Smurf shirt while running away.
We saw him again later that day where he wouldn’t stop hassling people in the other stalls about how much he loves AngryJoe and the “Kickassia” tattoo he was getting, whatever that means.
Anyway, thanks for all your hard work, man.
Keep up the cool vids. :)
Huh, never knew about that, I didn’t need to either, but it’s funny nonetheless
I'm not sure what to make of any of this. Is it some copypasta I've never seen?
If not, it should be
Its a series of jokes in reference to jokes made about jeff, like him having huge lips and being obsessed with them, or when he dressed as a smurf for halloween as a child, but the photo of it just looks like him in blackface with a smurf shirt.

22:26 The timing of "Ugh" in the song with the "ugh" from Tankmen .5 is a really nice touch
High Quality Ugh Man yeah?
I was born in 2008 (I’m 14), But sometimes I really really wish I was born before that so I could experience the peak of what the world was like back then. My generation had those little IPod touches that died really quickly and those rubber band animal bracelets from what I remember, But I do wish I could truly experience what the world and the Internet in 2000-2007 was like. Luckily today, I can get a glimpse of that! I’m the same teenager laughing at a newgrounds skit, just in a different generation! The Internet never really ceases to amaze me and I’m glad I found tankman and newgrounds.
Also, I love at 14 I can already experience nostalgia because of how much the world is progressing. The old Instagram logo and 2010-2016 pop songs are really nostalgic for me.
I miss the tankmen series😭
What confuses me is that there is definitely that one person who thinks Friday night funkin isn't from newgrounds

There is one thing I like about Newgrounds, which is that they still support Flash games, but in a different way. Instead of just dropping support, like so many pages did, did one person actually develop a software that allows running flash games on newer browsers, essentially allowing to preserve the games that existed for so long.
Some people just don't get how much NG influenced the modern internet today, especially with what games came from there originally.

Although the inclusion of the Tankman in fnf has gotten me more interested into him, plus my discovery of the classic series. I allways knew him from playing flash games with began with his logo, AKA stolen from Newgrounds. But for some reason I allways knew the games were gonna be good when they had that logo. Seriously.
The "stolen" concept is interesting. Because some of them would have been. But largely is was kind of like the Flash equivalent of a publisher. Developers benefitted from their games being shared around!
I really gotta make that video on how Flash game monetization used to work lol
