    My father in law brought the wheel driven land speed record back to the USA in 1965 at 409.277 mph. Good luck and God speed!

    Seeing as the Supra has been the Highway King for 30 years, safe to say this thing will not be slow with the heart of the Supra making those numbers.

    Man that machine sounds incredible. The engine bouncing to the rhythm of the song around the four minute mark was awesome...

    Jays happiness of explaining the what where and why of things is something at another level. Good luck on the flats and hope all the goals are met!

    This is so awesome. Glad everything is coming together. And I have to say, Jay always have this unique way to explain things very deep technically that keeps your brain wanting more.

    I love the Sustained Power Demand approach to land speed racing. Yes maximum effort is fun, but its even funnier to CannonBall wide open

    I live in salt lake city and rode my motorcycle on the salt flats. Now it wasn't the race surface but still it was very bumpy. I couldn't imagine going 400mph on anything close to that surface.

      Rest assured, the actual set courses are prepped by scraping the salt into a flat (or at least flatter) surface.

    Rock n roll gentlemen! Everything sounds and looks killer. Jay, I expected your pucker moment to be as intense as that surge this time around 😂😂😂 May I suggest adding another stage of engine oil to the cockpit seat to combat that friction lmaoooooo.

    I love how even tho I am in Australia, because of UA-cam I immediately know you are using Lund racings dyno. This is a sick project and good luck with it!
    Those upshifts sound so crisp reminds me of the older v8 f1 cars how the revs kind of rattle on upshifts

    Why does it have such a weird stutter on upshifts? I know it's a clutch less gear box but it sounds weird?

  • @tnargdonald
    @tnargdonald 10 місяців тому

    Can you trigger some sort of BOV with the gear change to dump some of the extra airflow during the shift?
    Seems like you are going from xxx airflow at 8K and only needing xx airflow immediately because of the shift. Bleeding a bit of airflow and letting the turbos catch back up vs having the motor catch up seems like the better option.

    • @teemann8379
      @teemann8379 10 місяців тому

      I think it surging so it's bad for the compressor but not the engine

    • @tnargdonald
      @tnargdonald 10 місяців тому

      @@teemann8379 Rapidly altering airflow to an engine is putting lots of unusual stressed on the block and crank. The turbos are cheap and replaceable.

    Bring it to Lake Gairdner in South Australia 🦘. The salt is far flatter than Utah.
