- HOW TO GET THE GOOD ENDING GUIDE

-TO START, you need to gain access to the HALL OF TERMINATION; the game is fairly straightforward up to this point.
-1st: Head to the CATHEDRAL and go into the BELL TOWER that's to the LEFT of the FAST TRAVEL ROOM. This one has mirrors you can use the REFLECTOR RAY on. You cannot gain access to the HALL OF TERMINATION without first having the reflector ray, so I'm not going to get into that, but just remember that getting the reflector ray requires that you solve the TRAIN STATION and finish the ALCHEMY LAB from there.
-Continue through the upper part of the CATHEDRAL until you get to the BOSS, BLOODLESS. This is one of the tougher bosses in the game, and even though you might think there's a trick to it, there really isn't, she just HEALS halfway through the fight. Beat her again and she'll go down for good.
-Beating her earns you the BLOOD STEAL shard, which can absorb blood from enemies. Isn't there another spot with a lot of blood somewhere in the castle?
-Use BLOOD STEAL in the blood fountain room in the ENTRANCE. This room can be found near the entrance to the GARDEN OF SILENCE. Head down the now opened pathway to reach an alternate entrance to the FORBIDDEN UNDERGROUND WATERWAY.
-Travel through this section until you find a room with water that's connected to a hallway which is then connected to a FAST TRAVEL ROOM. This water filled room is the place where you need to kill a specific type of enemy: DEESEAMA, a squid looking guy like the enemies from the beginning. Kill them until you get the AQUA STREAM shard, this allows you to travel underwater.
It's not as good as being able to WALK THROUGH WATER, but it's all you've got for now, so use it to progress further.
-Continue to explore the FORBIDDEN UNDERGROUND WATERWAY until you pass through a room with retracting spike traps, that means you're on the right track. Keep going on that path to reach the HIDDEN DESERT.
-This isn't a large area, so just travel through it until you get to the boss room. This time you'll have to fight ALFRED. Beating him allows you to access the room that was blocked in the elevator shaft. Go in there to get the DEEP SINKER, which you'll need to continue.
-Return to the FORBIDDEN UNDERGROUND WATERWAY and find a hallway that requires the REFLECTOR RAY to pass through. Now that you've got DEEP SINKER, you can actually cast REFLECTOR RAY and get through. That's the path you need to go on.
-Keep going until you get to the SECRET SORCERY LAB. This is more of a plot important area, and there's a boss here, but you don't get any movement powers here.
-Beat the DOPPLEGANGER and continue on the path until you reach the INFERNO CAVE. This area is tough so be cautious.
-Kill Orobus to get the INVERT shard. This movement power pretty much gives you free roam of the castle, but you're not gonna be able to continue without a specific item.
-The next direction you need to go in is past the SPIKE HALLWAY in the first room of the ENTRANCE, the really tall room that's the first one you see when you enter the castle.
-The item that protects from spikes: Aegis Plate - It's found in the TOWER OF TWIN DRAGONS, the RIGHT TOWER, specifically. Enter the large open tower area from the bottom and fall all the way up. That's where the AEGIS PLATE is.
-Now equip the AEGIS PLATE and return to the ENTRANCE where the spike hallway is. Pass through it to get to the ORIENTAL SORCERY LAB.
-Get through the lab and face the boss: Zangetsu ROUND 2!
-When you beat him, he gives you his sword: the ZANGETSUTO. This is what you need to break Gremory's control over Gebel.
-The sword is described as the MOON SUNDERER; that's your clue for what to do when fighting GEBEL!
-Return to the HALL OF TERMINATION and fight GEBEL. To break Gremory's spell, you must equip the ZANGETSUTO and ATTACK THE MOON when it turns red. The moon only turns red after you've done some damage to GEBEL, you fight him for awhile, but don't be too aggressive. You can kill him by mistake and get the bad ending.
-Gremory got away, so there's still ONE THING left to do before you can head into the ENDGAME. You need to find GREMORY! Remember any rooms with blood red moons?
-Return to the GARDEN OF SILENCE and go into the hallway with the large RED MOON. Slash it with the ZANGETSUTO equipped to break GREMORY'S illusion. From here you're in the ENDGAME, it's all a straight shot going forward. This list section is tough, so take your time, level up, get better equipment, do what you have to do and finish the game with the GOOD ENDING! - Ігри

I found the Aegis armor AFTER I had gotten through the spike section because I just powered through it with healers and persistence once I got the invert. lol It worked either way.

@@renanevaristo8774 Me too, I even saw the chest with the armor but was trying to get to it from the top of the tower, so I couldn't figure out how to reach it. Never occurred to me to invert from the bottom of the tower! I missed the moon changing color in the fight and thought I needed one more item (like the glasses in SOTN) to make Gremmy appear/visible.
No, u wasted valuable resources and i'm pretty sure it frustrated u through the whole process don't lie lol. That was pretty hardcore dude

@@redcrimson1028 Oh it was certainly frustrating but I wouldn't actually consider healers a valuable resource since I carry 99 pizzas everywhere with me. XXXD Money is easy enough to farm in this.

You are literally a lifesaver. I was wondering wtf I was doing wrong because I have the map more than 80% completed and had every step done before fighting Gebel and yet kept getting the bad ending after killing him! I would have never figured this out on my own! Lol. Thank you. Leaving a well deserved like!
Bloodless is actually pretty easy if you poison her. A Stinger or Poison Kukri weapons are easy to make and work well. There is a directional poison attack from one of the monsters in the cathedral and a poison attack from one of the cat demons. These will eat her HP down pretty quickly with the poison effect in play.

I got the bad ending by accident and when it said game over, it saved the game and I was like better not have overwritten my save. Luckily they let you load again. This game is so well designed.

2:00 Alternatively, you could double jump kick the lanterns on the other side of the room to get up. You still need the reflector ray for other parts of the map, but it can be done.

So I figured I needed to find a way to move underwater but I really wasn't expecting it to be a shard off a regular enemy. Was searching all over for some kind of boss I bypassed or something. Thanks for pointing people in the right direction cause I don't think there's anything in the game that explains this. Feel like that particular shard should just have a 100% drop so people don't just enter that room and leave after not finding anything like I did.
I ran around for an hour after getting the shard before I figured out what to do.
There's a quest where you have to kill 8 deeseama so around 8 or 9 deeseama kills youd eventually had the shard if you had a good rng. Basically the developers thought that while you were exploring you'd also completing the sidequest.
for Bloodless there is a trick to her fight that can make it much easier. Us a blunt weapon or magic when doing damage to her so that there is less blood for her to absorb.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Is there an indication of blood buildup anywhere in the arena? Cause I can tell

Xenos The paintings spell and a half decent melee weapon will see you through almost anything in this game.

3.Use inferno breath.
It would have taken me ages to find that god damn red moon room. I was at 80% literally going around the outer edges of the castle, hitting the walls, ceilings and floors hoping to find hidden rooms.
Same here... I put off beating the game for close to three weeks or so because I wanted to do so with no guides, but I eventually caved because of how long it was taking me.
Funnily enough, the first time you go through that hall, the moon is super red, but isnt after that.
You also get a hint if you talk to the shop kid.
Since he didn't add this, there is more to the story then going through the portal and killing Gremory. You still have a few things left to do.
Right. There's another boss, the Gambler, and he's super easy. Just equip Aegis plate, Invert, go off on his face with multi-hit attacs, like Rhuva Velar sword, Riga Storaeama shard, or 8-Bit Fireball shard. Then, there's the Gremory fight and the...final battle.

Would like a sequel for this remarkable game and differently would like a new old school Castlevania game not the Lords of Shadow style.
Just to note on step 1: reflector ray is optional (and you can skip the train area if you want). You can "Spike Jump" off the lanterns in the right of the room to get up there. I actually find it easier than angling the reflector ray.
I still don't have the train area unlocked. And I was like how did I miss reflector Ray. Cause I jumped on the lamps 😒
Thank you for this guide, I had spent a solid two hours going all over the castle and still finding nowhere else to go forward that I could access and eventually decided to google it, and almost every board right now is telling you to sequence break by doing the double jump thing on the candles, but that's clearly not the intended way.

I got to gebel and got the bad ending, roamed around the castle and then found out about all of this and was so disgusted that I quit. There are so many things here that would be near impossible to just "figure out" without aimlessly wandering around for hours or looking up a guide and I have much better things to do with my time. I'm really glad that I quit after watching this.
It sure felt great to figure this stuff out. I admit I got stuck for a little while after the blood lady and after fighting Zangetsu for the second time, but making it all the way through was really satisfying.
Trick for the Bloodless boss fight: if you have it, use the Directed Shield shard whenever she tries to use Scarlet Cyclone. This protects you from that attack very easily. The downside with this strategy is if you haven't gotten any of the food that allows for faster MP generation, you will eat up quite a bit of MP doing this. So either wait until you've buffed up your mana points or go in with plenty of ethers or hi ethers.
Short Version: Fight Gebel with the Zangetsuto equipped and attack the moon when it turns red. Saved you 18 mins.

Through the entire playthrough I was in that red moon room like ONCE.
15 hours later I didn't even remembered it.
@RC 4 Life The other thing is that you don't have to use that room to go in and out of Garden of Silence.
I checked every location (not every room) and I was in Garden of Silence but simply backdashed underneath the red moon room.

@RC 4 Life Ah, thats interesting. I noticed the room in the garden of silence had a red moon but thought nothing of it. Every time I went back through that way the moon had returned to normal.

and if i remember well those water horses in the same area as the Deeseama drop a yellow shard that boosts your speed and heal you while underwater,add to that the speed accesory and it should make underwater exploration way faster.
I remembered the moon was visible in the garden, but I couldnt remember the red one :(

I just found this game in Gamepass. Great game and better video! Appreciate this big time.
Obviously got the bad ending first and then went exploring. Killing the moon in the Gebel fight was super obvious because Zangetsu pretty much spells it out for you and tells you to use his blade in the fight. What tripped me up was the last step. The after fight dialogue didnt give any clues and neither did the npcs at the base. There was almost no indication where to go next. I remebered that there was a hallway with a red moon, but because I hadn't been there in so long I forgot where it was. Would have found it eventually, but this vid saved so much time and frustration, so thanks!
I first thought it would be like Shaft in SOTN nut it just took one hit :S

Actually, I got to Hall of Termination without Reflector Ray (I had Double Jump though). In the Cathedral, I jumped off the lights to get up to the scarlet woman who gives you the Blood Steal shard. I got Reflector Ray when I needed to get through the thin gap to reach the 2nd sorcery lab.
I did every step , only hitting the red moon was my last step , Thanks a lot
I also got to the Oriental Sorcery Lab without the Aegis Plate, by using healing and high defensive items to get through the two rows of spikes.

So I’m not the only one who noticed the red moon
Bloodless went pretty easy for me. If you get Directed Shield, you can block her blood laser move and stop all the blood from caking the ground, walls, and ceiling. Try not to get hit yourself too. The less blood there is on the floor, the less she will heal.

I used the lamps in the right side of the room to get to the top of the cathedral, you can extend your double jump by jumping into them, I finished without even knowing the existence of that item
I got to the hall without the reflector ray. Lol I jumped on the candles. So I guess I missed some stuff.

I just beat Nightmare mode. My shards: Riga Storaeama, Accelerator, 8-Bit Fireball (sometimes used Void Ray or Tefs Rozaiin), Silver Knight, and Words of Wisdom. I grinded to get all resistances up to Rank 9 Grade 9 and this helped. At R9G9, 8-Bit Fireball does a lot of damage and shoots out 5 projectiles. Riga Storaeama crawls along the floor shooting upwards fairly high. It follows along curved places (like the Albert fight). I found my weapons to be far less effective in Nightmare mode, whereas I ran around with Rhava Velar sword annihilating stuff on hard mode.
Once I got 8-Bit Fireball to full rank and grade, the game was very very easy, even in nightmare mode, with the exception of Zangetsu (who wasn't hard, but has that one big attack that does 3500+ damage if you get caught) and the final boss (first half). Gotta keep distance from her. I have also beaten OD.

I found the aqua swim from 1st kill and still thought it was wrong due to the fact I couldn't "walk" under water. I stumbled upon the desert area and thought I reached there due to some bug because I was swimming instead of walking. When I got the deep sinker I was astonished and thought it is impossible to figure this on my own if it weren't for my luck!!!
I searched every bit of that castle that I could reach to figure out where to go next. It was driving me crazy! A friend told me where to get that shard. I didn't expect it to come from a normal enemy.
At 4:09, I felt so proud for figuring this part out myself.

Fun fact for bloodless, just use standstill. Yes it doesn't stop bosses, but it doesn't let them use their spell. But they keep acting like they did. So if you use standstill when she drains, she doesn't drain anything and she dies instantly.

funny enough you can access the upper part of the cathedral early, using the double jump ( if double jump then press down with the jump button you do a kick and that allows you to jump again and kick if there is a enemy or object with a hitbox like the buer summon both familiar or red shard) in the lamps at the right side of the room of the reflect ray puzzle. also by jumping on enemies you can get the refine equimente blueprint in the third large room.
Buer familiar and kung fu shoes. I cheesed my way through soooooo much with those

Just use Rhava Bural and duck close to her, you'll take some hits here and there but the fight is over really quickly, also use welcome company and tbh she becomes one of the easiest bosses

I'm not sure, but I think there's an extra scene in the good ending based on map progression which gives a clue about the fate of someone...
What seems to be an error is the timing of the advice you get from Anne. You can remember there used to be a red moon in the garden but she actually tells you that. However, she does once you enter the Den of Behemoths and watch the scene there.

I somehow managed to make it without access getting the reflector ray or high jump and stuff. I believe I cheesed it by using the double jump to chain the dive kicks and get up to the higher platform bc I already have that part of the map open. I know I've used my Beur familiar to have it jump with me, and then dive into it to reset my jumps
Yeah you just jump kick off the lamps on the right side of the room . You dont need the ray to get up there
didn't actually get the reflect ray before fighting the vampire lady. in the place where you're obviously suppose to use it to get to the higher part of the cathedral i did a series of well placed dive kicks on the lamps located just right of the mirror spots. I knew something was off when there seemed to be a sharp curve difficulty after that point.
Good video. You explained it very well. Maybe you can make a video to show how to make all the 8 bit coin weapons and show us their gameplay as well as give your thoughts about each one.
God an easy way to go up there in the cathedral.... I just jump kicked torches... I explored so much of the map with jump kick n the aqua stream shard.... lol
To make this fight with Bloodless easy for me i used guns with special bullets like curse and poison then use your most powerful attacks .
If you get the sword but don’t slash the moon you get a bad ending but no game over
very sneaky ending with the sword. killed him again and got a different bad ending. sold shards and got bad ending yet again had to look it up.
I actually got up the cathedral without the reflector ray (because of the chest bug you get from starting playing on 1.00 or 1.01 and updating to 1.02 prior to a certain item). I jump kicked on the candles on the right side of the room.

I literally crouched slashed her the entire time. I was looking at her knees like they were my long lost lover, yearning for them to be mine again while simultaneously turning her shins into soup.

There is an ending so far that I have found. Kill Gebel with the Sangetusoto sword. There is 3 so far a bad, not so bad and good ending.
I miss the days when you could just post this information as text, and it would be discoverable, instead of google always sending me to another damn video

@Gideranx I just found an awesome trick with Bloodsteal and Standstill. When you absorb the blood and when you start hearing the blood absorbing you use standstill and you absorb an infinite amount of blood. And this will increase your blood volume at an infinite rate and continuesly fill your life.

I got stuck after getting the zangetsu sword. Damn i didnt get the hint on the description. Props to those who did.
There was a hint on Galleon Minerva too. Gebel left the ship with the help of Gremory. She turned into a red moon then teleported away. Also there was the red moon close to the place of the first Zangetsu fight but later it disappeared.
@ Yea i noticed those on my second playthrough. Its hard to remember the 10 first minutes of the game when you are on your 20th hour though...
