The window goes up a little bit when you open the door so that those felt edges at the top hold the glass. If it stayed below them in the door then only the rails would be holding the glass and it could rattle really bad when you shut/slam the door. It's meant to protect the glass and to make door closes sound solid versus cheap and rattley.
It does it because of the air pressure in the car. Especially when you close the door you don't want to bust an ear drum so it opens to let some air out when closing the door because the cabin is air tight.
What tripped me out the other day. If you press you finger along the edge of the frunk it opens without you pulling out your key fob to press the button. Thought that was cool, you need a firm but not aggressive pressure and it'll pop right open
So you don’t have to get the key out of your pocket/bag. It’s the equivalent of a push button start. I wish mine had it (I could always go back to the old fashioned way)
Nice video! Also, I love your garage and the tool chests. Did you special order the your Cayman with that color and wheel choice? Also, do you do your own brake jobs & oil changes?
I got it used so just got lucky that I found one with this color and wheels. I haven't had to do any brake jobs on this car since it is only 20K miles and I did oil change at dealership.
Fun fact. The keys are not on the left for "racing heritage". That is a made-up story because it sounds cool. The real story is that in the postwar era, the 356 was being built around 1948 and wire was a scarcity. To save on wire, they found it shorter to run the ignition to the left side of the wheel, from the harness. It is notable that Porsche has actually put ignitions in various places, including the center of the dash. They are now on the left as a nod to the heritage design.

Because the cayenne has framed windows, my doors literally make a noise when I open them, from breaking the seal. It's wild
I can't figure out where is the key to remove lug nuts?
In the frunk on the right side is a tool kit in a storage container. Pull the container off and the lug nut key is in there
Did u put an exhaust it sounds nice
Carlos Ochoa no, this is the Porsche sports exhaust the car comes with

I think that only works with keyless entry option.
Nice video man. Thank you.
That's a really nice shirt bro! Where can I cop one?
What's the point of a fake key fob?

noticed it was a PDK stop watching
Stop being so critical
PDK works faster than any human can shift. You can still do manual shifting for folks that like working that knob.
I have a miami blue 2021 cayman pdk. Im 70. Had a few cars 67 camaro 75 lemans 1980 280z 1971 mach l. This is car no 1 easy. Its super
