@@Mark-qt5ux what the hell does it have to do with any of this? I trust police more than I trust a lot of citizens. Most people go into law enforcement because they want to make a difference and protect their City / community which says a lot more than people that sit on their computer and talk down about them because of what the media projects. That's a very ignorant statement in my opinion my Aunt was a police officer for over 20 years. I trust her more than 99% of the people I know. I've been living around her my whole life and she always had law enforcement over and I knew many officers male and female and they were great people. You're always going to have a few idiots in any profession. But to say "don't trust police" says more about you than it does them. I generally have a neutral position on police. As in any career, there are good and bad. I have run into both types. The problem that I see is that many cops should never have been allowed to wear a uniform. Police chiefs have become political (as is most obvious with this guy in FL. The police chief and the two suoervisors on the scene should be terminated immediately. Not backing up the officer and cutting off video recording says itt all. I guess they knew who their real boss is. There is also the question of WHY the charges were dropped on the speeding and cell phone violations. That Sarasota police dept is owned by that guy Hyde. The dept should be immediately under investigation for corruption.

2 wrongs don't make a right. Just saying, it's not like the officer is out there doing a noble thing. It's called economic terrorism. It's very irritating that there are multiple youtube channels catching child predators daily, while the cops are out patrolling for people to extort on the side of the road. Our money should be spent better than this. I believe in no victim no crime, because I'm a moralist, I don't go along with the government propaganda that tells us taking money from us after we've hurt or harmed no one is beneficial to society. Nope, I rather have these people patrolling for real criminals instead of being the criminals. And again, people confuse what government says they can or can't do with morality and what is right and wrong. Hint, just because the government excuses their own actions, doesn't make it morally right. It's only natural to try to use whatever leverage you have to get out of being extorted, this guy tried and it failed, can't blame him for trying though. No sympathy if someone had to deal with a not so friendly person, as if we're supposed to smile and thank the police officer for victimizing you.

I love the way he says “I don’t want special treatment” whilst also saying “I’m important” and “do you know who I am” to every officer that was there

100%. The very definition of an entitled POS.
I’m curious to know if he had to pay those tickets or if the tickets were dismissed?
I can’t imagine how much of this goes on in the world every day. What a sad world we live in.

Let's not forget the part where he ORDERED the bad cop who showed up to turn off his bodycam. At least he refused to do it.

@@scotthewitt258 I could barely stand to watch it to completion. Just so cringe worthy and bothered me so much that people can hold such a high opinion of them selves. In 1 million years I would never ask the question “do you know who I am?”. Of course that’s easy to say because I’m just an average Joe like most, but fame or fortune would never change me to that disgusting level.

Remember Mr. Hyde's name at election time. Do not elect this individual to any further public offices and, MAYBE, that will help him remember how to behave like an adult in the future.

I call BS on his apology! He's a sorry example of a human being. I hope he doesn't get into Congress, imagine how he'll treat his constituents if they don't kiss his ring and bow at his feet. God Bless his district to make the right choice.

If elected he wouldn't have constituents he would only have himself to represent as he would only do what is in his best interest
