I agree with just about everything you said. I would add the ignition key location to my list of negatives. You sort of said it but I wish the front tires hade a higher profile. Great review!

Yeah, I know a lot of people of had issues with the key. Probably just a difference in height and build but I’ve never bumped mine So I don’t really think about it.

Brock enjoy all of your stuff. Thanks for sharing. I purchased a 2038 the first of the years. Have the snowblower. What a monster. As we get close to 20 feet of snow plus yearly it was needed. Will be getting other attachments soon. Thanks again for all the information.

Those snowblowers look fun but we don’t get enough snow around here to justify it

Thank you for your comments/experience with 220R MSL Loader. You’re 100 percent accurate regarding two series MSL as a game changer. That loader spec is actually rated to lift significantly more weight than the 3R Series NSL. JD doesn’t make a 3R Series MSL Loader. They do for the 3E Series.
    Go figure!
The 2R Series layout is far superior to the 3R Series, which is dated.

IM in MIchigan. I do a little farming. I chose Massey because the dealer was close. I bought a small one first, then wanted more loader capacity, so I traded, then traded a second time. The Massey I have now is only 35 horse, but the loader will lift 1100KG so I can lift our round bales of hay which weigh 1500, and that was one of my main requirements. The other requirememnt is the hydrostat drive so my wife would drive it because she wont drive the bigger farm tractors. I dont have a cab, but I will eventually. I also got away from the midmount mower because it hangs up on things when Im doing loader work. I tried a bushhog style mower but it hangs off the back 7 feet and I was always bumping things when I turned, so I went to a flail mower. I love the flail mower

The two series R tractors are light years ahead of the dated 3R series features. I’ve owned both, and the threes clearly need a design refresh.

This is an older video. I’ve got over 800 hours on the tractor now. I’ve ran most of the 3 series’s models as well.
I’ve also done a ton of upgrades to the 2038R including a recent HydrosPlus upgrade series.

My 2022 2038R gets delivered to my house on March 7th. We have 23 acres at the house. I got the loader and tiller with mine. We plant a lot of food plots for deer. How does this tractor do on tilling on a hill as most of our property is on a hillside? We also have a 5 acre motocross track that will help with the maintenance of that. I won’t have to bring a skid loader home anymore to do work On the track anymore

    • @RockhillfarmYT

Congrats on the new tractor. Should do well with the tilling, just make sure you have plenty of ballast working on hills

My tractor has more PTO horsepower and more nice features for the R series. The 3032 has bigger tires and cost a lot less.

@@RockhillfarmYT Thanks for sharing. I bought an LS 33 HP then an LS 40 HP Then a JD 5045. In my opinion the JD is wobbly and bounces on 4 tires. That’s with fluid in the rear tires and 6’ box blade. But I’m not against any of the Tractors but after the pandemic I can’t believe how expensive Deere and Kubota are. And I feel the Korean Tractors lifts a whole lot more and several thousands less $$$. But I have considered the 2 and 3 Deere series. I’m considering them now. You really get a lot of work out of your Tractor. Very impressive. I think I will get a compact Tractor with a Cab next.
