I don't understand why Burks. Sorry, never had any love for his game. I don't know what the team is going for this off season. Still hoping De Rozan is going to work out but I'm still not confident in the roster the way it is now.

Burks was clutch for the Knicks though in the postseason but we don’t need more grit guys. We need someone who can score at multi levels.
Herro/Duncan trade is imminent. We legit have seen the Jimmy/Bam/Herro team and that’s not making it out the first round.
We probably couldn’t beat Orlando in a series right now unless we get a capable scorer next to Jimmy.

The center needs a backup center. If bam is really moving to the four, this is a good sign for ware.

Im starting to accept the we will run it back and I’m trying to convince myself.
We run it back and next year we let Jimmy go and trade Terry (he will be an expiring contract so may have some value for some teams).
I still want to believe in Tyler, outside of Jimmy, Love, Duncan nd Terry we have a pretty young team.
Herro, Jaquez, Jovic, Bam and Ware is a pretty good young core, it might even be a good starting lineup tbh (if Tyler stays healthy, Spo and Pat have to sit down with him and let him hear it, he has to step it up) if we add to this the players we can sign with the Cap space left by Jimmy’a departure + assets from a Rozier trade, I think the future is not that bad.
In 2026 there will be a lot of good free agents and we can position ourselves to finally make a big splash.
For those people who are still questioning the heat about the maxey not being pick, the lavine not being traded, and others .. tha’s because i think, they are connected to klutch sports

At this point, I think our best option besides blowing it up, is trading Tyler for Bruce Brown.
Toronto is simply not going to get a better offer for a 1 year rental. We get a point of attack defender on a chunky expiring contract.
I won’t love our chances, but I’ll be ok enough with them to want to tune in this year. If Niko and Jaime take a big enough leap, and Ware hits the ground running, they could make another respectable run. Especially if we can get Highsmith back.
Nonsense Alec Burks has been a 10th man every where he played. He is like Herro can score 30 once in a blue moon but will average 12 points depending on the minutes. I thought we made that move because Herro was gone.
I belive if Bryant was to play PF, he would have more of a role.

It's shocking that David would prefer Swider to Burks. Burks is a better/more consistent shooter than anyone we have (I'm sad to say) I am afraid that Burks will ball out and this upcoming summer the Heat out of desperation would give him a massive deal like they did James Johnson, Philly Cheese, Tyler Johnson, etc.

Great pickup. For the minimum? Great signing. Look, people who are mad at the front office just don't get or refuse to remember how Miami got here. Decisions were made. Draft picks were given away. No cap space. It is what it is. Miami needs to reset with their young core. The dumbasses out there who say the FO is "asleep" just don't understand why Miami is stuck. You don't think they want to get top talent? You don't think they plan these things out? No, some of you don't because you don't understand how things work. You're spoiled.
