I like that. Really I like things of the old. I miss a lot of the old tea shops and old nostalgic vibes you don't get at all from the modern coffee shops.
Wow that place is amazing. You're right, a lot of places in China seem to be getting rid of the old and building shiny/flash/new - but that tea house is special because of this old style
Ah, it’s Guanyin temple teahouse in Pengzhen, I haven’t been there even I am a Chengdu local. Not just this teahouse, a lot places like schools and hospitals in Sichuan and Chongqing used to be temples, it’s amazing sometimes you could feel the traces of history from these places.
"... businesses and consumers are always looking for the next trend. But sometimes the best way to stand out from the crowd is to stick to your principles.Trends come and go but this place is timeless." I love these types of places.
@@Nicofilms I was hoping this autumn they have such good prices with BA from London I’m not sure if you are back in the Uk 🇬🇧 but defo check it out or I was thinking spring early summer next in 2024 … Any recommendations on best time of year?
Amazing thanks for the tip I will check them out. I would definitely recommend Autumn or Spring in China. Try to avoid Summer as it gets super hot and Winter can be really cold depending on where you go. But Spring and Autumn are perfect but try to avoid the national holidays as they can be a bit busy! @@sabrinastraveladventures4263
I like your videos about Chengdu so much! But this time there were to much pictures of communist leaders and also the fact that this teahouse was once a temple mad me sad. But the video was very interesting and I enjoyed it.
Thanks a lot I'm pleased you enjoy them. Unfortunately we can't control what was on the walls or what it used to be but I'm happy to see the building still thriving even though the function has changed.

Totally agree and I think Chengdu has some really beautiful ones.

@@Nicofilms Hey Nico, I just have one question for you. What is the meaning behind the famous red dragon in China? I always wonder about this lol.
really appreciate the dedication of this teahouse owner to his community❤
so real!
Sorry Nico, going to Chengdu in 2 weeks time. Where exactly is this place? Would love to visit it
It's in the village of Pengzhen. If you search Pengzhen tea house you can find more info about it and the location etc hope that helps!
Definitely a must visit, for everyone. This reminds me of my childhood.
Chairman Mao is timeless.
