- Amitabh Bachchan was fired from the first movie that he signed with actress Rekha after a month of shooting. This video tells the viewers all the details about this incident from Amitabh Bachchan's early career. Eventually the name of the movie was also changed and Amitabh Bachchan was replaced with another actor. Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha's first released movie was Do Anjaane (1976) but this movie could've been their first if Amitabh Bachchan wasn't fired from it. The said movie in this video released in 1974 and failed at the box office whereas Amitabh Bachchan's Zanjeer (1973) was declared a super hit.

Amitabh Bachhan had once mentioned, without any rancour mind you, that there had been a time when he had received acting tips from Navin Nischal in 'Parwana' and from Anil Dhawan in 'Pyar ki Kahani'. In both these movies, Amitabh had done a supporting role.

Just one correction sir , Duniya ka Mala was not a flop movie it’s above average hit . Duniya ka mela has lot of Mahmood comedy with romance and above all Sanjay was very successful star at that point of time . Where MR Bachchan had 8 flop movies in a row behind him the main culprits were not producer or director it is distributers and one point which people may not know is Biswajit ji and Sanjay Khan were very popular and super successful stars in a very very short period

I heard once Amin Sayani rejected Amit ji because of his voice, which barrytone voice later became a landmark in his career.

Duniya ka Mela,was a lost and found formula movie. The movie flopped coz the hero-heroine in the story were siblings of same parents,parted in childhood,and meets accidently, and fall in love. These story doesn't work.Zameer too floped for the same reason.
No spoilers.Worth watching both movies. DKM,for Mahmood, who carried the movie.Zameer,for both superstars AB & VK.
Even Bambai Ka Babu,flopped for the same reason. Indian audience look for pure romance,and love stories.Even,Silsila,Do Anjaane,and many such movies.
One more,EkNaiPaheli, again a complicated love story, worth watching. its Raajkumar,Kamal hassan, HemaMalini,SureshOberoi.
