Yes the non-indian looking thing is what I believe the main reason why he didn't get enough roles. And also another important factor is that after 95, Bollywood mostly made romantic comedies only which completely eliminated villian roles.

Kamal ke insan the yaar. Bollywood ne itne handsome, hard working and talented actor ko bhi waste kar diya! 🤬🤬
Jo bhi industry ke log apne ap ko inka dost batate the, unhone na inke career mein koi help ki inki aur na hi inke funeral mein gaye!.. Such a shame..

Bahut dukh hota hai, jinko main bachpan se dekhte aa raha hoon, unka aisa anjaam hote hue. Whether Villain or Hero in a movie, both deserves equal respect and appreciation for putting a lot of effort in their role to make it look realistic.

HOSHANG, I have seen lot of movies of GAVIN & I liked also his most of the performances. Sadly, he left this world at very small age of 47. He was the best body builder and would have gone very far to reach success but destiny had other plans. ALAS... NOTHING CAN BE DONE AT ALMIGHTY'S DECISIONS. Thanks for this presentation..

Gavin and Deepak Qazir were once on a flight with me Udaipur Bombay 1996.
Alcohol was allowed those days on flights and when I started my drink both of them requested me for a drink. Gavin at that time just had one and said he was a social drinker and thanked me. We had a wonderful conversation about the industry and he told me how he trained Sanjay Dutt.

Thank you Sir. It's sad no doubt. Gavin's biggest shortcoming was his European looks.
He wasn't getting roles according to his looks. One i can think of is a police officer or investigation officer from overseas.
With Euro. looks and Indian roles won't click with the audience. eg. Him as a daaku will never click.

Tabassum Ji, Hoshang Ji - request you to please cover some famous regional actors - actresses too … like Ashok Saraf, Laxmikant Berde, Venkatesh Duggabatti, Chiranjeevi, Arvind Swamy… the list goes on…
Tabassum Ji’s personal touch is always the best…. But even without it, this series is very informative!!
Hope you can consider my request - Sanjiv Kulkarni
