@Wyatt Parrish The US is at around 600 mass shootings this year, that doesn't even include single shootings, this has to be on the same level as a place like Brasil or some other relatively lawless country and many Americans *still* refuse to acknowledge that some - not all - states have issues with their gun policies. I believe that there needs to be nationwide reform to gun laws - rather than each state having its own set of laws - because I find it ridiculous that some states allow someone to own a fully automatic assault rifle with armor-piercing rounds with nothing more than a hunting license, while the next state over may only allow a handgun with standard 9 millimeter ammunition and requires an extensive background check and a pre-determined waiting period.
A solution for people who already own newly outlawed weapons (RPG's, assault rifles, etc) could be a grandfather law allowing responsible owners - who undergo a mental health evaluation - to keep any weapons and ammunition already licensed and in their possession, but restricting their purchase and acquisition from the start of the new gun reform. There would need to be a lot more work into this kind of plan, but you need to start somewhere and this doesn't seem too terrible.

I get protecting a Right, but when you put more blame on something that has nothing to do with an incident and nothing on the tool used, you cross the line to insanity. Yes banning guns isn’t the answer, but neither is vilifying something unrelated is just insane. That’s my two cents anyways.

This argument applies to firearms themselves, as they can't be main item to blame in a shooting. I also see the blame on videogames, movies, music, books, etc rather as politicians being out of touch, as they are a older generation with a good majority of them not being involved in those hobbies or from a lack of personal interest. It's no different from a older generation that doesn't understand the technology of the new.
Personally I blame the shooters. I blame how media glamorizes them with 24hr news coverage, free fame, and a nice 3 hot meals and a private cell all paid for by you, the tax payer. I despise how the media will immortalize them by referencing their acts when a new shooting or mass murder happens. I absolutely hate how quickly these tragedies are used in less then a day to quickly push political changes in a subject that a lot of Americans are not well versed in. There is something wrong with the way these tragedies are aired to the public.

The remainder of the show until credits is life lessons like changing a flat tire, how to start a fire, proper procedure for sweeping and mopping etc.
