    To be honest with you, anybody that watches and knows how Dave Ramsey operates is not surprised by anything that was on the recording. If you guys listened to his show, you would find that all those so-called "secret recordings" he says on his show all of the time. He has said how he will fire people for this or that. He is very blunt about it. There is no secret about anything that he says. I've heard him say far far worse than any of those recordings you guys just had us listen to. So this is just another click bait video.

      Exactly. Even I think his grip on his employees personal life is a bit much, but nothing I heard in there recordings is a shock in the slightest. It’s not even mean, it’s like a mild scolding from a teacher. People are so soft.

    “They fired 5 men and 4 women for having premarital sex.” So how exactly are they treating women different than men? Hogan was the number two guy in the company, it had nothing to do with his gender. If you want leniency then sell millions of books like Hogan did.

    • @RileysFilms
      @RileysFilms 3 роки тому +8

      One explanation would be, for instance, if 20 male employees had been known to break Ramsey's rules, and 5 females, which resulted in 5 males and 4 females being fired. However, that is just a hypothetical.
      I don't know the reality of the situation, but I'm hoping each lawyer does when they make assertions like this.
      Looks like they finally did pull the pin on Hogan, which at least makes Ramsey less of a hypocrite.

    • @desimo147
      @desimo147 3 роки тому +19

      If a guy (who works for Ramsey) gets his girlfriend pregnant, as long as he keeps his mouth shut about it all is good. Yeah, his close friends at work will likely find out, but chances are pretty good that Dave, himself, never finds out about it. With 900 employees and a business empire to run, this has got to be a low priority item for upper management. But, if a non-married female employee get pregnant, she is screwed. There is no way to hide it. The woman is at a distinct disadvantage.

      It could be though that Hogan was worth more than the female employee was cause we all knew Hogan. He was huge in the company. The girl that they fired was someone nobody knew. So it was not cause Hogan was a man, it was because Hogan was popular and very well loved and did a lot for the company. It wasn't gender, it was status. Not that that is good, but it makes more sense than them using the gender excuse.

    If you watch Dave Ramsey on youtube or listen to him on the radio, it is easy to imagine that Dave would not be an easy person to work for. The most definitive textbook on metacognition may be Thinking by Nobel Prize winner Dr. Kahneman in which "stupid" is defined by infinitely gullible (p.64), uninformed (p.199), and falling for outcome bias (p.208). Half of Americans are born to single women. With the measured rates of teen drug abuse and pregnancy, delinquency, and juvenile crime being most correlated with fatherlessness, it's no wonder that kids are a mess. Zimbardo (famous for his 1971 Stanford Prison Experiment) has shown the problem is not sociopaths but their mindless mobs (zombies or sheeple). He showed we are ALL easy pawns, puppets to our peers. He challenges us (Lucifer Effect, 2008) to ponder our own participation. Have you done that? Kahneman won his Nobel Prize for proving ALL of us are naturally members of a mob. If he is truly upholding his standards, a man who cheated on his wife would have been shown the door immediately! The Bible is just as clear about adultery as it is every other form of s*xual immorality. Instead, Dave called an adulterer a "good man" and a "thoroughbred" while firing a pregnant woman. Destroying your spouse and family for a piece of tail is straight-up wickedness!
