- The entire soundtrack to this video is from 'The Last of the Mohicans' and begins and ends with the Glen Nevis Gorge and Steall Meadows and Waterfall sequence. After 95-miles the West Highland Way reaches Fort William where Glen Nevis provides an abundance of walks and where a path through the gorge emerges at the Steall Meadows and the second highest waterfall in Great Britain. This however, is the Munro Sgurr Choinnich Mor.....
i can feel your love for these brooding lovely mountains. how much i wish to learn of them! and, I think, the music fits so well the proud stark beauty of their faces...and stirs all celtic blood awake to embrace their poetry. thank you!
One of my favorite movies, and the music made it so. I grew up in upstate NY, unfortunately too far west (flatlands around Buffalo and Rochester). But farther east is some of the most beautiful country on the planet, hauntingly lovely, like this music, so aptly chosen for such a fine classic film. Time for a rewatch. And re-listen.
only scotland can give you this land this music this love and am proud to be so scottish and once i get my future wife wed i hope this will be played at my wedding love you sandie xxxxxxxxxxxx marco dumbarton scotland.................
last time i walke4d thru glen nevis was on the way to rannoch many years ago nice to see it again thanks for posting
What a beautiful country.
Very beautiful landscape! Parts of the trail look just like the Great Smoky Mts. here in E. Tennessee! (My beautiful home. )It's no mystery why my ancestors (and many other Scots immigrants) chose to settle here.
Just came across this video. Great music but also brilliant record of the walk which I did not long ago. I didn't get many photos (as I was holding on to the path with my teeth!) so yours more than make up for it.

Been told the following: -

Do you guys think that's played on a violin or a viola? It sounds almost too deep to be a violin. I can't tell.
