Lucerys also surprised by Borros Baratheon's response
Episode 10
Rhaenys riding Meleys The Red Queen spoiled Aegon's Coronation and flew Dragonstone to warn Queen Rhaenyra of the situation.
Meleys The Red Queen spared the lives of King Aegon II & his whole family in House of the Dragon
Princess Rhaenys while imprisoned by Queen Alicent Hightower, escaped and approached with her dragon Meleys. She could have roasted the entire family of Otto Hightower, Aemond Targaryen, Helena Targaryen, but she spared their lives by a gesture of mercy and a warning.
Meleys, nicknamed the Red Queen, is a she-dragon ridden by Princess Rhaenys Targaryen. Covered in scarlet scales, she has accents of bright copper. It is her unique coloring for which she received her nickname. In her youth, she is said to have outpaced even Caraxes and Vhagar.

Stannis rolling in his grave over the fact one of his ancestors couldn’t read💀😂
But Robert would be proud
@wokecuntsdeservetodie01 Robert could read just wasn't his favorite past time
Renly was proud to be illiterate
Brot this guy only knows how to kill. He believed in sword then pen.
Stannis is still alive but I get your meaning 😂
It was cool to finally see Storm’s End.
Personally I don’t think any of these castles are done justice though, considering how they all should look.
@@shockingbunny2122storms end was the most accurate castle we’ve seen live actions in my opinion, but I like the way both shows did the red keep. Casterly rock was atrocious though
@@shockingbunny2122 highgarden and winterfell were both fine

Borros' line "The House of the Dragon does not seem to know who rules it." is Ironic considering the War of the Five Kings was started due to a split rulership of House Baratheon.
To be fair all laenor had to do was nut in her simpe
Yes, but the House of the Dragon takes place LONG before GOT and it's War of the Five Kings.
Hardly ironic when this is like 200 years before that.
Seems like the House of the Stag doesn’t know who rules it either 200 years later 😂
@@dreamfyres The House of the Stags prevailed and remained. The House of the Dragon is gone and lost forever.
Rhaenyra was really stupid to send her son to Storm's End alone.
Rhaenys is the daughter of aemon targaryen and Joslyn Baratheon.
The Baratheon backed rhaenys claim so it was actually sure they would Support Rhaenyra
@@scarletwizard5451 Then perhaps Rhaenys should have gone lol.
@@user-uy1rg8td1v Yeah idk why Rhaenyra did not ask Rhaenys
@scarletwizard5451 she was patrolling the gullet to block trader ships. Issue is there was no war declared, and Luc went as a messanger. To kill a messanger and especially under the roof of guest protection is very LOW as the red wedding. Aemond didn't even mean to kill Luc so he even knew he messed up. Most he would had done is bully and frighten Luc but never physically harm him.
@@RicePho Aemond was a psycho if Rhaenyra knew he was there she would have called Rhaenys or Daemon back.
This was an amazing scene...The small details the producers added like the storm in the background with them being in the stormlands. Quality show!
I loved how they had mark addy narrate this scene in the histories. I love how i can watch them in my GOT dvds.
Borros Baratheon: "Which is it? King or Queen? The house of the Dragon does not seem to know who rules it."
Blunt af as his descendants Robert, Stannis and Renly. That's why Baratheons are my favorite House.
Even if Borros didnt receive him well he didnt want the madman to hurt him
Correction: He didn't want Aemond to hurt Luc UNDER THE BARATHEON ROOF. He didn't really care what happened once they left his home.
A blood stained floor would be difficult to clean tho
@@carastone3473 outside Storm's End he has no authority over a prince like Aemond. Plus he hoped that things would be setlerd peacefully so I doubt he was in favour of Luke's death.
@@masterplokoon8803 false. He hated Rhaenyra
@@GoldBanks60 there is no indication in either the books or show that he hated Rhaenyra or Luke. He wanted Rhaenyra to back down and give up her claim, he didn't want war.
The greens:
Lets send the second son of the king, rider of the largest dragon and accomplished swordsman who is well trained, has been at the city and red keep for years and thus is well known to the realms nobiliity, and is unbethrothed and instructed to make offers and also to know that the storms end lord cannot read through Otto's spies.
The Blacks; let's send the second eldest bastard of the woman who insulted the stormland nobles, House Baratheon and shamed his father when she was on the hunt for suitors before being as far as the realm knows caught bedding her uncle in a brothel then forcibly married to Laenor Velaryon, who is pathetic looking, who we dare claim shares blood ties with this lord, who is also bethrothed, untrained, and offer nothing?
I can't wait to see Cregan Stark after this.
Chad Baratheons >>>>>>>>> Virgin Starks
Hahaha spoiler they don't do anything until the end of a war that lasted 3 years. And when they arrive they had to decide for peace since everyone else was tired. And the northern army dispersed, they could not even return to the north due to lack of food and winter.
The hour of the wolf
@@caesar.emperor This isn't entirely true - *Spoiler* Cregan sent the Winter Wolves who were led by one of his best warrior bannermen(Roddy the Ruin), who were quite prominent in the war. And the contenders died *during* his march, not before. Only some of the Northmen remained behind to help repopulate the riverlands.
@@gooby214 Borros Baratheon: can't even read a letter
Aemond looks how Euron should have looked.
Well Boros didnt really have much of a choice siding with the Blacks considering a fcking giant lizard parks in his frontyard ready to turn his keep into ashes at a moments notice
If he dies the storm lords can turn against aegon. And it gives more motivation to support rhaenyra. Even then he was given something which makes more sense.
The Baratheons were ignored as the Blacks favored the Velaryons over them
Bobby B would be so proud
Borros should be proud to Bobby B
I mean, Luke probably could’ve offered at least something! He has brothers, just say “the Queen is interested in marriage pacts as well”.
Marriage and oaths seems to be better then just marriage!
well lucerys was bethrothed to rhaena and jacearys and to baela. altho he might have been able to promise his younger brothers vis, aeg and joff until they were old enough
Why does everyone keep saying this. He does not have the authority to offer his brother's up for marriage. That power only lies with his mother.

Borros outlived Rhaenyra.
Why would Rhaenyra come for Lord Borros?
@@kaushif12 Don't bother trying to reason with people like her. Anyway, Rhaenyra isn't gonna do anything to Borros. In fact, Borros lives longer than her, as shown in the book. No Targaryen shall kill a Baratheon, ever.
Rhaenyra should have remembered her father's words that anyone in the court thinks of their affairs first and, most people don't care a sh*t about oaths, especially if it's not them but other people who swore it. She should have known that the Greens would be trying to gain as many supporters as they can and thought twice before sending his son demanding loyalty with nothing in return, unlike the Greens who sent Aemond with a marriage promise.
Annoying that the Baratheon soldiers look the same 200 years before GOT.
Is it ??
Is Borros not able to read???

He's dumb and lazy.
Illiteracy isn't frowned upon in Westeros
@@equusquaggaquagga536No, but it's rather stupid in the case of a Lord Paramount. It would be like the President or Prime Minister being unable to read, severely hampering leadership because their literate aides and attendants could manipulate them easily.
The Baratheons caused alot of problems over the course of the Targaryen dynasty. Probably should have eliminated them.
Ironic too that Aegon installed his right hand man as lord of storms end and gave him the baratheon name and banner. Yet they caused so many problems.
Besides the Dance of Dragons the Baratheons did serve them faithfully until the Mad King pushed too far.
It’s rumoured that the first Baratheon was actually Aegon’s bastard brother so Baratheons are some of the closest Targaryen relatives
I'm glad the Targaryen are almost extinct, they are nothing but mad kings and Queens.. All due to incest
Orys Baratheon was king Aegon's most loyal servant. His son in the kingsguard saved the life of king Aenys. Rogar Baratheon had some bad moments but he protected the future king Jahaerys I from his evil uncle Maegor and then put him on the throne, Boremund Baratheon was a great servant of the crown, Robert's father was actually a good friend of king Aerys II and served him well, Robert's grandfather died fighting for the Targaryens in battle against the Blackfyres, Robert was also loyal until Rhaegar took his bride and the Mad King ordered his death for no reason.
Morelike it was House Targaryen who caused a lot of problems to House Baratheon, since at least two times House Baratheons saw its honor diserespected by the Targaryens:
1. prince Duncan Targaryen refusing Lyonel Baratheon's daughter for a commoner (Jeyne of Old Stones);
2. prince Rhaegar Targaryen eloping with Lyanna Stark who was Robert's betrothed.
I mean its cool for the descants of characters to bear resemblence but to have them act nearly identical is lazy
GRRM wrote a lot of the Baratheon ancestors the same as Robert and Renly. Stannis is the most different. Even Robert's bastard Edric Storm is rather vain and like Robert and Renly.

@@fernandorivera4719 The Baratheons are indeed Durrandons. Just renamed. Even culture and sigil are the same.
Boros is probably shitting bricks knowing Lucerys died riding back after being turned down and dismissed, Rhaenyra is coming for that man
Oh, for heaven's sake: first, Borros refused because she was demanding loyalty without giving nothing in return, and not many houses are like House Stark: Rhaenyra may be claiming the throne, but it still remains that the legal monarch is Aegon; second, it happened outside Storm's End walls, not inside: so the guest right was respected.
Rhaenyra doesn't do anything to Boros, poor dear showpleb. In fact, Boros ends up outliving Rhaenyra. Keep dreaming, my little black supporter. No Targcrap shall ever touch a Baratheon. Ever.
Oh, and he had every single right to refuse Rhaenyra. Baratheons ARE NOT HER DOGS. The Starks are loyal pet rats. Baratheons and such require a price, as they should. That's how politics work, fool. Not "m-muh honor" like those Starks.

Dishonorable shitstain of an excuse for a Lord. I know the politics are deeper than that, but being so obviously swayed by something as cheap as marriage to the second born son of Viserys to betray an oath is just the nastiest.
Boros himself believed that males had priority in sucession. Plus Baratheons respect strenght, the greens sent a warrior prince on the biggest dragon in the world to offer a royal marriage. The Blacks sent a timid boy in a tiny dragon just to tell him about an oath he never swore with nothing to offer. Plus how many lords would reject the greens with Vhagar parked outside their castles?
@@masterplokoon8803 Vhagar being there is no threat. The greens are too smart to spontanously burn down the castle of a great house whose support they need.
@@NtoTheM Aemond and Vhagar burn down plenty of castles throughout the war.
@@masterplokoon8803 That's a bit of a moot point, cause right now they do everything in their power to prevent a war, cause a war between two sides with access to dragons is the worst path to take for everyone involved.
Sure, once the war starts you burn your enemies no matter who they are, but when the objective is still to prevent a war by rallying all the powerful houses around you, then you don't want to just threaten everyone into submission.
@@NtoTheM suporting greens is more in line with Boros' patriarchal views in his eyes Aegon is more legitimate than Rhaenyra. Aemond did not directly threaten Boros but the presence of Vhagar whom at this point in her life has burned down a lot of castles is an unspoken threat of what might happen to those who side against him in a possible conflict. If one side's show of strenght is a warrior mounted on the deadliest creature alive with a pretty good offer and another is a scared little boy in tiny dragon just to remind you of an oath that you never swore in the first place which side do you think made a more compelling case?
