Wow, i like the way you explain some details of colorized, thanks for your tips and tricks.
You sir, are a legend 👑
Another excellent tutorial Dave.

Awesome! Thank you so much Dave for the informative and helpful tutorial! very enjoyable process! God bless and good luck!
Very helpful!, Thanks, Dave!
Great tutorial. Thank's Dave
VERY informative and helpful video. Many thanks for posting!
Thanks a million for that Sir! Fantastic tutorial! 🙂
What a wonderful lesson on how to use the Colorize Filter. Thanks!
You're very welcome!
Merci très clair et très utile...
To be honest, this neural filter has driven me crazy for its propensity to bleed colors into areas where they don't belong. (hard to describe without the ability to attach a screen shot of what I'm talking about) However, you've just provided me with a much easier go-around than making a selection, then painting and choosing a blend mode for each discrepancy. THANKS DAVE! [from Oakland. CA]
Many many thanks.
Another great tutorial, as usual, Mr. Kelly. Thanks.
Best regards from Rio de Janeiro/Brazil.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm trying to use the neural filter as a starting point, and this is very helpful. I would have made the eyebrows more gray on the 2nd picture, but that's just me.
Thanks!
Thank you Patrick.
Awesome tutorial!!!
Thank you!
Very nice
Thanks Dave! Great video and perfect timing. I am on an ambitious project of scanning in thousands of slides and film my dad had taken since early 50’s. There are tomes he used Ektachrome film and most of the blue and green have faded. My thinking was to just covert to B&W and now with this I plan to try colorizing. Question would it enhance a faded photo or is there a better way.
If you are familiar with Photoshop you could add a Curves Adjustment layer to bring back some contrast. There is a drop down menu in the Curves Adjustment layer and it has several Contrast Presets that you could try. I wish you great success on the Editing project.
Top !.......
Hi Dave. Great tutorial! One question though, the photo of the girl is extremely grainy when zoomed in to do some of the edits. I wonder if this is repairable?
I think Topaz DeNoise Ai would be able to help. I haven't tried it to verify.
Dave, another great tutorial. Helps a lot with the bleed over problem. I'm trying to colorize a WW II vet's uniform and the Neural filter is selecting his uniform way too blue instead of "Army" green. How can change that ? Thanks
Change the Foreground Paint Color to the Army Green Color and Paint over the Colorized Layer (The Layer that is in the Color Blend Mode) and it should change it.
@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly Thanks Dave. I'll try it..
Hi do you always have to be connected to the net to use the neutral filters?
Some filters you don't have to but I am not sure about all of them.
I would use the landscape feature but it takes 20mins.to download.everytime.
neural filters i mean.
I work with pre WW1 and WW1 original photographs; and I must say it does less of an average job. For me it has a long way to go, before I can use it, even as a start to colorizing a photograph!
