What is the decontaminate?
hahaha! Loved the music when you danced on it!
haha we're glad you loved it!
Yep have to have a great sense of humor for sure.
What kind of Decontaminating solution to use or what do you mean?
How would you clean the back and base of the sofa?
It would probably help to change the bag somewhere in this process.
Man i cant apply any of this to actually cleaning my messed up cushions right now... Why does the cushion with decontaminant get hot? And what is this decontaminant?
Is it cost effective
Can i use vinegar
the fancy pants adventure theme had me
Was concrete decontaminated where cushion rested?
1 billion cushion concretes were decontaminate.
Would this work with a shop vac
Do you have somebody to refer in the Atlanta area? I need to have this done to get rid of cat pee in my couch.
I wish I knew about this when our dog was a puppy. :)
John Pullum darn!
Is that just a Garbage bag? Or is it something heavier?
+VONDOOM88 We use heavy duty contractor bags, 3 mil thick (which is like a heavy duty garbage bag). You can usually find them at Home Depot / Lowes.
can I bleach my foam cushion?
Would using the compression properly dry them? Mine have been sitting out but I don't want them to get mildew.
Brianna Rohn - Yes. Compression and sucking out moisture is paramount to fast drying, and fast drying is the key to reducing bacterial or fungal growth, which causes malodors.
I'm struggling to dry my sofa foam cushions during a British winter season. Been sitting on the radiator for a week but not drying. Any advice ?
@@nhszb1 I've read put the near a dehumidifier
How can you do somthing like this at Home?
You would need a strong Shop Vac and rinse through a lot of fresh water. The cushion will likely be wetter when done because our truckmount's lift is much stronger than a Shop Vac. However, it's the same principal: decontaminate, rinse, extract, repeat - then speed dry with fans.
@@Rendallscleaningmi Advice on decontaminating fluid for foam like this? Are you using something special or something regular and hot?
@@kingrpriddick Yes, we are using our own specialized urine treatment (Stain Fu). You can also try getting a urine treatment product from a carpet cleaning supply company.
I’ve looked into this, thought “how hard could it be,” and went for it. I got the cleaner and rinsing and suction via vacuum inside a space bag style mattress protector but it doesn’t suck enough. Where else has a vacuum with enough suction? If I were to contact a company to do this, what should I be asking them?
Wow.Alot of work.I do similar. But spray and do ijections in cushion.Pets are usually still on the Location.Cats are the worse.
What about washing machine?
Too heavy, unless in an industrial washer.
Could I use this method to get rid of embedded cigarette smoke out of sofa cushions?
Thanks for writing. The method I show in the video is for liquid contamination and is very labor intensive. Even a long-term cigarette smoke infiltration shouldn't require as much work.
I mean you could use this method, if the fiber can handle it, but it's probably not necessary since the smoke probably didn't penetrate that deep below the covering.
Assuming the fabric can handle it, I'd first liberally apply and lightly scrub in a smoke odor neutralizer like Unsmoke's 9-D-9, allow to dwell a good 15 to 20 minutes, then extract with hot water.
The most difficult areas to neutralize are going to be the frame and stuffing / fabric you can't reach. If that's the case pressurized ozone or hydroxyl gas decontamination is your best option on those hidden areas.
Holy crap
