I do believe we live in the days of the antichrist. There’s no other way for me to explain why I feel like a complete alien in my own church and my own family and surroundings, just for trying to stay true to my Catholic faith and witness to God’s incredible love for us. I cannot comprehend how we have sunk so low. My days are spent praying, fasting and making sacrifices.
My life now has changed dramatically also. The times now are worse than the time of Noah.

Looking around, I wonder how we could NOT be in the end times. Rampant abortion, child mutilation surgeries and confusion on the most basic aspect of male/female, marriage and family undermined to the point where the next gen avoids it, running the USA into the communist ground at warp speed, 40k+ different denominations of Christianity constantly at odds with each other, and even Catholics who still go to Mass on Sundays are mostly confused and/or obstinate about they’re there or what the Church teaches. My question is how much further can we go before there’s nothing for Jesus to come back to but a completely totaled population?

I’m a Christian Protestant and agree 100% with Pope Benedict
I cry and lament at the state of humanity. Truly full trust in Jesus is now needed more than ever.
Also, we might want to ask the Holy Spirit to help unharden our own hearts. Only God knows ones true intentions. WE are doing something wrong in the world. There is too much judgment and not enough love for our neighbor. I’m guilty myself. We are too preoccupied trying to figure it out, we are forgetting our own impact we can make by following Gods wishes for us and by how we treat our enemies. I’m sitting next to an enemy today at work and I’m asking the Holy Spirit to help me treat her as Jesus taught us. It’s so hard because she is very cunning. God help me. Thank you God for loving a fool like me. 🙏🏽🕊🙏🏽❤️
Didn't you just make a "judgment" when you referred to someone near you as an "enemy?". You judged the person to be your enemy. We make judgments all day long.

I want to use harsh words back because I’m a sinner and I’m aware of that. I’m just saying it’s harder to see the plank in our eye than the splinter in someone else. I need to remove my plank in my eye. I can’t do it on my own because of my pride. I have to beg for forgiveness and guidance. I feel like I’ve failed so many tests from God because of my hardened heart. Even much, much worse I hurt His heart by not learning how to treat those who want bad for me.

There's one glaring incongruity in this post. Pope Benedict referred to 'Antichrist' but you say 'the Antichrist'. This is a very important distinction. Benedict was not referring to one person, but you appear to be doing so.
Dr. Marshall, many years ago I used to roll my eyes each time people exclaim, “Praise the Lord”. Now, those people can say to me, uh huh??? I now say, praise the Lord for guiding you not to be a married Catholic priest. There will be no podcasts such as these if you were a priest. Also, praise the Lord for guiding you to have a doctorate in the theology of St. Thomas. I learned about the theology of St. Thomas because of you. Thank you. I live in a Latin American country located in Central, where the majority are Catholics, and most of the rest of the citizens are Christians; and I can say that the persecution to the church has truly intensified. Just recently (last week), a considerable group of parishioners of a Catholic Church located in an upper-middle class area in my country, were surrounded at a prayer meeting and held at gunpoint by three men, all dressed in black covered with baseball caps and with masks on. The chilling recounting of events by one of the faithful who was among those gathered in prayer and held at gunpoint by the assailants, says that they were almost killed by them, if it wasn’t by the grace of God and by the intervention of the priest that was guiding that prayer meeting, who with a firm resolute and brave voice, with authority, demanded the criminals to leave the gathered and spare their lives after the criminals burst into the meeting room. The criminals even pointed the gun to two of the parishioners’ stomachs, and ripped their gold chains and other valuable possessions, and were even tempted to cut the fingers of those who had rings on, if the victims were hesitant to give in. I am writing this, because I think it is worth commenting and that to me, this evil action denotes or kind of illustrates the consequences of this Cov Pandemic in my country, and I think in many countries: anarchy, insecurity, criminal and sacrilegious actions, disregard of the sacred and the hardening of hearts among people. All of these are signals of a more tangible Antichrist spirit reigning among men. We must frequently pray and if we can, attend daily Mass.

Third secret might be more revealed than people think.
The secular churches may be shrinking, but the Latin mass I attend with my daughter and son-in-law is exploding. We are running out of room. The church is full, the hall is full, and people are sitting in the vestibule and the courtyard to hear mass. As they say after our elections, "The people have spoken." The Catholics in this parish want the Latin mass and will drive at least an hour to get it.

@Taylor Marshall. I haven't had time to listen to this, will do so later. But, you may want to check out the Novus Ordo epistle and psalm readings for the day Benedict died. The epistle is from one of John's letters where he warns about antichrist coming, and about those having been among us but not of us, and that we know this because we know the truth. And the psalm is about God's judgement looming. ....interesting.

I honestly don't think you are wolf in sheep's clothing, but I don't know you. But if you don't retract the statement that the death penalty is okay, your silence will speak volumes as far as I'm concerned. Remember what Christ said. Saying that Christ would be in favour of condemning someone to death is misleading people and turning all his teachings on it's head, because that's exactly what a wolf in sheep's clothing would say, by guiding people away from Christ. Understanding how Daniel and Revelation work together is a crucial part of understanding Bible prophecy and the identity of the antichrist. The book of Daniel helps unlock the book of Revelation. It would be advisable to read Daniel 2 before beginning as this gives the basic prophetic timeline from Babylon to the second coming of Christ. In the book of Daniel, the principle of repetition and enlargement is used. Daniel 2 gives the whole basic prophetic timeline of history in brief and then each chapter enlarges with more detail and information etc. Unlocking Daniel’s symbols makes the prophecies of Revelation come clear.
The majority of professing Christians are waiting for this "charasmatic" person to come along and fulfill the role of the Bible antichrist. When in truth, the Bible antichrist is already with us and has been with us for a long time. And we can be certain of who the antichrist is because of the great detail that God has given us. The main Bible antichrist is the "religious" kingdom that matches the little horn of Daniel 7; the sea beast of Revelation 13; and the whore of Babylon.
Paul says in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 'Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a FALLING AWAY FIRST, and that MAN OF SIN be revealed, THE SON OF PERDITION.'
The man of sin who Paul is talking about above is called "THE SON OF PERDITION". Now there is only one other occasion in the Bible where the name "SON OF PERDITION" is used, and that is in John 17:12, where Jesus is talking about Judas. So, Paul above is linking this "MAN OF SIN" with Judas Iscariot. Why? He is giving us a clue as to what *type* of person we should be looking for. It will be someone who "appears" to be a Christian. Someone on the *INSIDE.* But yet, he is a deceiver and the leader of the antichrist system.
*"Anti"-Christ [G500 the adversary of the Messiah] means "IN PLACE OF" Christ.*
*IMPORTANT NOTE:* The word "anti"christ [ἀντί G473 + Χριστός G5547] In the original Greek can mean *"in place of" Christ.* So, we are to look for someone who is openly opposed to Christ Jesus. So, we are looking for someone who has put himself *IN PLACE OF CHRIST* on earth, and is deceiving from *WITHIN* the church - a "JUDAS"!
Taylor I knelt down for the Eucharist in Church ,it was met with a mixture of bewilderment ,curiosity I say this regarding what you said about people in Church being timid and embracing secular habits.I have been scolded,slapped,angrily repudiated for asking to accept the Host on my tongue in other churches ( this happened to my mrs and me at Knock Holy Shrine in Ireland would you believe) but I am lucky that my local priest offers the Eucharist on the tongue for those that request it.Very few request it.

The "power of Antichrist" can refer to the darkness that is spreading over the world, but it doesn't necessarily mean that THE Antichrist is here, or revealed, yet. He is not on the scene yet even if he lives.

Pope Benedict held a special place in the history of the church, by the fact that he allowed Catholics the most after the Second Vatican Council. Summorium Pontificum was a tiny gateway to a treasure buried deep and buried deeper and deeper by modernism. Benedict XVI's role in the mystery of iniquity will probably be fully read in a few years. He could have done more, but he also didn't have to do as much.

It’s significant because that is the day Christ resurrected. The new covenant is all about Jesus, who is our sabbath and sabbath rest. It’s why Christian’s have historically worshiped on Sunday.

I was always confused on the temple. I always thought the Third Temple was Saint Peter's Basilica ,which made more sense to me ,but I never heard a Catholic put it the way you did before. It makes much more sense.

Most likely we are in the 5th Age of the Church and await the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Gospel has not be preached and worshipped across the entire world.
