Love this guy. The RITY solo is probably my favorite guitar solo of all time. Pure lightning in a bottle. Seems like a very pleasant, charming and un-pretentious person as well.
What a down to earth super star he is...and his opinion on guitars being good or bad relevant to name badge and price tag is spot on. I have sold all my big name high priced guitars for much less expensive ones that I actually bond with.
I couldn't tell if he really loved this guitar or just thought it was "ok". He's a good guy and a straight shooter in this interview. I agree with him on rosewood preference of fretboard for the same reason.
Elliot does not want to say it's MIC (Made In China) I bought 2 and they sound great. Only $185.00 USD. I have a MIC copy of an Ingwie Malmsteen Strat I'm thinking of selling.

I could listen to you talk all day Elliot.

I love Elliot. Had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with him many moons ago. Really lovely guy. The real deal
Jimmy Page was really impressed with Elliots playing. There is an article where he pointed him out as guitarist he likes. This was back in the 70's
Excellent advice. Just listen to Jack Pearson on a Squier!
great guy. Great ax man.

Nearly any guitar these days with ALNICO pickups will be fine. You don't need to spend $1,000.
