The problem with being able to hold 3 cash bills is you're probably going to carry the largest bills, but if you have to buy something that costs $2, you spend one bill and get 9 back. Uh oh!
The bilfold wallet would be even better if the thumb slot was at the bottom and pushed the cards up rather than to the side! I feel like pushing the cards to the side isn't practical
One thing about this design (which is common on billfolds) is that card slots that open inward to the crease have much less chance of cards falling out when the wallet is closed. When they face up, they can still fall out when closed.
Yes it will shrink back within reason… don’t carry 12 cards an expect to be able to just carry your license and 1 credit card. Take everything out and put a heavy book or weight on the wallet ( flat surface ) for the night.
Will the cards bend or crack on the card plus wallet because of the extra expose of the top of the cards, why they did that too when you have thumb push up at bottom?
Really debating between the cash or card wallet. Can you elaborate on why the cash wallet received a lower score for features since it has an extra slot for cash carry, while the card wallet has an extra top slit for cards? Or do you see more use for the card slit then the side opening for cash? Thanks!
My answer to that is the card wallet provides the same number of slots, but is smaller than the cash wallet. To that end, you do need to fold your cash twice to fit in the card wallet, while only once in the cash wallet. However, the interesting design of allowing cash to protrude out the slot in the cash wallet, while interesting and deliberate, has people really divided. So that hurt it in my review. In the end, they're both excellent, I would say it depends on if you carry more cash than a few bills. If you do, then the cash wallet is a nice option.
I'm lucky enough to get AC cash wallet on Ebay for $40. Leather is great it will stretch on how many cards you put on each side. I have 6 cards on each side and STATE ID and Drives license in the middle. I dont carry cash.

Not from my experience or from what I've read or heard. I imagine the design decision was for those who want to pull out versus push out.
