I am "Mr Mopar", but it's hard to argue with that Camaro LT1 with the V8. Kind of like the 68 Road Runner. Basic package with a powerful engine. GM needs a new marketing department that will do justice to the Camaro.
Yes I agree with my friends.. the Dodge guys are on top of the marketing for sure
Honestly this Trim sold me on buying a 2020 instead of a used 2016-2018 SS
Couldn’t agree more they need to realize not everyone can afford the SS and most of us don’t want the SS
Just like their 100,000 dollar electric hummer 😂😂😂who can afford that shit
@@Vuhjayjay68 to be fair. That stupid thing will probably sell. Just like it did back when they released it in the mid 2000s. No accounting for the tastes of the wealthy.
Can't beat that bang for the buck! Traded my 2019 Challenger GT for a 2021 Camaro LT1 redline in Nov. Couldn't be happier!
Nice.. that’s an upgrade for sure
@@RacerX9 thanks, love that V8 rumble. Keep the great content coming... and Go Bucks!
How much you pay otd if you don't mind sharing
@@josephfogus6735 with options, sticker was $42k. OTD was $39k
Good review by the way too!
definitely better value than the R/T considering they’re around the same price
They are a bit more where I live.
It’s a lot of performance for the money 👍
@@RacerX9 The only rubs for me would be less visibility and can a tall person get in and out easily. I might want a stick too. Same with RT. Anything to avoid cylinder deactivation.
@@nokoolaid I had that concern before I bought my R/T. Then I drove it and was really impressed by how much leg room and space I had. I am 6 foot tall.
@@nathanielreusser5723 I am 6'5, 34" inseam.
They took a page out of Dodge's book, powerful engine with basic interior, nothing wrong with that!
R/T Scat Pack (LT1 and 1SS) SRT 392 (2SS)
Budget with performance is always a win
No, the 1ss has been the basic Camaro focused on performance. They didn’t take anything from Dodge’s book.
Lmao manufacturers have been doing this for years because people buy them up it's definitely not a Page from dodges book if dodge had a book it would be a single page that listed all the repair shops in your general area because that's all that dodge is gonna be doing sitting in the shop

Another great video. I love how unbiased you are regardless of which cars you own... it’s refreshing watching a true car enthusiast 👍🏼
Thanks buddy.. much appreciated
Now that's dedication filming in the rain brother! The cheaper price on the LT1 could leave more money for mods and personalization on the car! 👍🔥💯
Very true buddy 🤜🔥
I picked my 2020 LT1 up with options for 37k out the door after my 2019 Challenger R/T was totaled. I'm in love with the way it drives. Nice to see the LT1 get some love. Thanks man, keep it up!
Just picked up mine certified pre owned with only 300 miles!!! 32.5k for a fantastic car!!
Pretty nice car, I love the fact that you get into detail on all these cars so when I see them on the street I know exactly what they can do how much power they have etc., great video!
Thanks brother 🤜🔥
Great Camaro with lots of performance for a Great Price‼️💯 Just because it don't have a SS on it don't take it lightly...you might get embarrassed‼️😁
Another awesome upbeat review. Great job doing an honest evaluation.
Awesome video, love when people give the Camaro love even if they are Dodge or Ford fans. I've always been a Camaro fan and I really really hope Chevrolet doesn't kill it. 🇺🇲🇺🇲
So stoked you tested this one! Sweet value.
Hay X thanks again for the hard work and informative content, great stuff fun to watch.
Your a good man, thank you.
Dude, your videos are always awesome!!!
Nice review RacerX! I’m always passing that dealership on my way to work. I’m definitely going to check this thing out 👌🏼
Great vid as expected Racer X. Pretty cool platform for budget minded enthusiasts. Drag Radials and skinnys should be fun at the track for sure with the 10spd.
I'm stoked for this video! LT1 is a beast for what it is.
Yes I agree buddy
Great video RacerX. I like this Camaro and is a lot of car for the money. Reminds me of the old Formula Firebirds. I had a 94 Formula in the 90’s. Looks like a V6 but had the LT1.
I just bought a LT1 last Saturday. Loving it so far and I don’t think that’s going to change.
This seems like an appealing option that should have been available from the start. Bang for the buck is undeniably there. Love how it sounds. Is it enough to steer me from a Scat Pack Chally? No. However I must say, it is defiantly a 1 up on the R/T. Excellent review Racer X! ❤
Great job brother I got a 2019 zl1 1le and a few mods I love it you got to get use to driving it and it's fun. Getting read to try to order a new scat pack shaker hood. 6.2 .
Great review as usual!👍
I love the camaros!!! I had no idea about the LT1 camaro.Currently working towards getting a camaro in the future 🙌.
Got mine back in September and I love it !!
Chevy should've done this when they brought the nameplate back. Too late...
It’s hard to say but may be something to that
Great upload!! Love it 💯👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks buddy
They're right where Dodge was a few years ago when they had the SRT and the scat pack. People learned that you get a lighter car with the same power for a lot cheaper. Fast forward to today and no more SRT, it's all scat pack.
This trim in Shadow Gray Metallic was on my bucket list and I'm absolutely loving it.
U should wrap it satan black it would look amazing
Awesome review!
I kid you not, every time I see these new Camaro RS, I always think it has a V6 in it... thanks for the heads up Racer X.lol😂
Hy gotta be careful now lol
You can hear a v8
Great video bro
Just drove 2 hours from Tyler,Texas to Dallas to pick up my R/T today. So far I love it. I have a feeling it will be the Perfect daily driver just enough power for me to have fun
Thanks for the video!
My son just bought one...Lt1,Red with sunroof, auto, and rs package 37,300 otd. Also has the brembo brakes and the 20 inch rims and the dark taillights..forgot. It has the adjustable pipes also...really nice ride. Makes me want one. Lol
Exactly what I want, in white, that's a great buy, thanks for the video
Just ordered a 2021 lt1 auto added satin grey paint $830 reccaro sports seats $1580 dual exhaust $960 upgraded wheels $110 sunroof $1180 total $47500 cdn after discounts I’m very excited spec looks amazing 🤩
That's a great deal🔥🔥🔥🔥..I would buy that in a minute
Good content. Keep it up and thank you.
Thank you John
I had a 2015 LS to start. Now i have a 17 RS. My next upgrade on the road to a vette will definitely be the LT1. I cant wait.
GM should have named it "Formula", as a throwback to the base, V8 Firebird.
People still mistake my formula for a v6
This is just like a modern-day Firebird Formula or Mustang LX 5.0. All great cars for understated performance.
A noticeable difference between the Camaro LT1, and the 1980’s Mustang LX 5.0 and Formula, is that the Mustang and Formula had the same size tires as their more expensive brethren. 245’s on the rear, with 455 hp? Come on Chevy!
Watched your video went to the local Chevy dealer and now have one in my garage! All thanks to you.
I love that American flag in the beginning. Great video racerx
I just picked up a 2022 LT1 with only 1400 miles , 10 speed, Bose stereo, sunroof. Luv this thing !
That's the way to go to get a fast Camaro at a good price. It's basically the same as the V6 other than the engine, apparently. It was a smart move by GM to try and catch the Mustang (and Challenger) in sales. The Mustang GT used to be the best bang for the buck. Thanks for the video, Bro.
Another thing that's really important to mention is these cars lease very well. At the time of this video people were leasing these cars for 350 bucks a month. Now that times have changed a little I just leased mine for 430 bucks a month. Considering my R/T Challenger was 570 a month on a purchase with the 5.7. It wasn't a hard decision to go to this car for 140 bucks less a month and 80 more HP. This is my 4th Camaro and I have nothing bad to say about any of them. The Challenger was a much more comfy daily driver though.
Unless you plan on getting an after market exhaust , make sure you get the NPP option (dual mode exhaust). Trust me you won’t regret it.
If you have the dual mode would you change the exhaust still?
Justin Britton I have the dual mode exhaust and it sounds great, not obnoxiously loud but everyone around will know you don't have the 3.6 in it.
Racer X, that's the same car I bought from the same dealership 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
I have a 2020 LT1 convertible and I'm a Mopar guy. I love it this car.
I have the 2020 Camaro LT1 with the Performance exhaust and rear spoiler in Satin Steel Metallic. I do not regret that decision I made the car is really really really fun in every way even on the twisty roads.
Those clouds look scary ,Be safe out there !
This review solidified my decision. This will be my upgrade from my challenger GT. So much for mopar or no car 😂😂😂 I just love em all honestly
GM is upping their game, I have a 1SS and would seriously consider the LT1 thanks RacerX
Absolutely my friend
Here, catch this. It's a new subscriber.
Caught.. lol.. thank you my friend
I test drove a 2020 LT1 before I decided to purchase my Scatpack. That car is sweet. It's fast, it's comfortable and sounds Great! Nice package for the money.
What made you get the scat ?
@@IMTHEMOSTDOPE just personal taste. I'm 6'4 and 245 lbs. I did not fit in the Camaro very well. The challenger was immediately comfortable, had tons of low end torque and just reminded me of the cool muscle cars from the early 70s. The Challenger isn't for everyone but it's definitely for me.
@@fastlyf98 feeel u on that brother mopar gang 🤟🏾
yeah would like to see a straight comp between this guy and the Mustang GT 10 Speed
Definitely looks like my Camaro RS V6- I couldn't bag the LT1 my dealer had no stock so I got a great deal on my V6 RS
Making me want a Camaro now!
Also have one...love it.
First thing I would do is debaged it lol. Great video btw.
Big camaro fan first car 16 years old was a 79 358 4 speed. Im 43 now on my 6 camaro. Had 2012 now have 18 rs. Went V6 because wife drives it daily all season. Great gas mileage great HP but torque is lacking. My opinion is GM should of put the 5.3 into the LT1 dropping price down little more.
Plus 5.3 would get better gas mileage or maybe offer both 6.2 and 5.3 in ls1. But if it i was making the decisions dump the 4 cylinder offer the 3.6 in the LS trim. Next trim the 5.3 maybe just call it the RS. Then have LT1 with the 6.2 and SS models of course.
Anyway great video as always keep up the outstanding work. Always perceptional well put together fun to watch.
Thanks
Josh. G
Reminds me of the hellcat that has the STX badges on it. And no hellcat badging. Stock exhaust system too. I first saw the car while the owner was putting gas in it and I noticed he was putting 91 in it. I saw the hellcat emblem inside the car. He told me he was tried of everyone with a mustang or Camaro wanting to race him. Hardly ever does someone try now.
WOW great price. Nice looking vehicle too
Chevy went back to their roots of the 60's, 70's where the RS's came strip down with a V8. You didn't need all the extra features and weight if you just wanted to go fast.
Love these lt1 models
It is a beautiful car. I have really preferred the performance sedans. Back in the 90s I had a 94 SHO, one of my favorite cars. I had an 06 Impala SS that was a lot of fun. I had a mustang gt with a 5spd. I loved. I still think I will go with a charger. I love the look on people's face when they get smoked by a sedan.
Just bought mine yesterday!! At 21 haha we’ll 22, I got some minor mods ready to install like an exhaust, front splitter, side skirts n a spoiler! Got it for 36,700 with the 10 spd!
Nice 👍 no complaints here . Camaro is a sharp car 🚘
Great car. Had a 1SS. The A10 is awesome. These cars inhale gas though. At $5 gallon where
I am, it gets expensive if you drive a lot.
Used to have a 20216 camaro rs. That was a really fun car i dove it across states with no issues. It was incredibly fun to race V8's and its a quick car! The gas was fantastic - usually hit 25mpgs to 32mpgs on the highway very easy. Plus it takes unleaded so you save on gas!!
Car never broke down or had any issues except some glitches with the android auto. Other than that i kinda miss it LOL
Ford needs to bring back then LX 5.0 package in a 2022 version.
The LT1 Camaro reminds me of the 5.0 LX Mustangs from the 1980's. Less frills and less things to break in the future.
Great review. Would I fit in this car being 6'2"? Thanks
I bought this exact car this past weekend!!! Picked it up for $34,995 Clay Cooley is the place to go!
I actually love the V6 styling over the SS. Which is why I want the LT1.
New DTRLs look way better on the base model than the rs and ss for some reason lol
Long live the internal combustion engine.
I have a 2010 Camaro RS- SS Cooks Long Tube Headers and Borla Exhaust.
I love mine! The deal I got was stupid good. $35.4k sticker and managed to get it down to $31.8k. Was a brand new Black 2020 manual LT1 with white rally stripes. $450 for a MBRP axle back exhaust, $430 for a RotoFab cold air intake, $600 for a Anvil Auto notch spoiler painted black. I feel like it did ok here. Just need some stickier tires after the stock tires wear out and maybe a wider wheel in the rear and Im good! Like your videos and am partial to this one!
Just got mine and it was listed at $35.4k. It's my first car ever and I felt like giving it up was going to be a mistake.
@@antoinealez12 Congrats! You're gonna love it. Makes me smile everytime I get in and drive. Beast of a car as your first.
There is a break in period to take note of and it drove me mad for the first 1,500 miles. Also installed the skip shift eliminator so I could shift as I please from first to second.
The car is a joy and I've had no issues. I'm sure yours will be the same.
@@Chad_7777 Yeah I'm trying to get a feel for it now. It was a little intimidating at first and it's taking a little bit of adjusting. I've never driven a V8 and a car as low as that one.
@@antoinealez12 If you've ever sat in a race car/stock car, it feels like that. It's funny when you pull into a parking spot. Because you sit so low the whole parking space disappears as you're trying to get between the lines. Some folks like it and some don't. Just takes some getting used to then it's gravy. Feeling like you are in a race car was part of the attraction for me but others have issues because of the low visibility. The power is well controlled with traction control on. Turn it off and you can EASILY get into trouble until you get used to driving it.
Have fun! You chose a really fun and great looking car!
@@Chad_7777 Thanks man, I appreciate it!!
Get the 6 speed manual. It’s more fun and it gets RESPECT.
Until you loose to the 10 speed auto.
@@michaelbarry8373 can't lose. Automatics blow.
@@michaelbarry8373 men drive manual women drive automatics
I bought one and love it. The SS version made me hesitate. The SS is great if you want a track car. Not so much for a drag car.
I wish you could buy a model stripped down even more. Not due to a lower cost, but because I don't need all the "standard" junk they still cram in this car (Active Rev Match on a M6? Seriously girlie boys? Learn how to drive a manual like a man!) and would prefer an even lighter platform..
The only thing that could make this car any better would be a LT4 option box to click (that would of been closer to the ZL1 heritage then the loaded luxobarge they have now). I would of been ALL OVER that factory setup....
Spot on in the review! Pull the LT1 badges and 99% of people will think this ride is a V6/I4. Only the hardcore car guys know to look for the air extractor hood before they try to put this car in the "victim column".
They’ll notice the 4 exhaust tips (rather than 2 for 4/6 cyl) when you pull in front.
Man what a great car , would I buy it over my Chally ? Now that would be a tough choice probably not . I’ve thought many many times of trading my scatpack in but I just don’t have the heart to do it . With a few mods under the hood that would be a FANTASTIC SLEEPER !!
Imo, the LT1 depends on what the buyer wants. It's best going value is really realized, if you going base(6speed, no sunroof). But you're the buyer who wants more options, I think high end v6 or full fledged SS offer better value. Gr8 content as usual, X.
Purchase my 2021 Camaro LT1 RS in Nov , 2020 liked the car so well I purchased my second Camaro SS V8 in June 2021 I will never go back to luxury cars again just love that sound in that engine.

I like it I was just thinking about something like this the other day, something like an sxt with 392
I could afford this easily
Just bought min and LOVE IT but it dark silver
Woooooooo! Thank God, I traded a defective 2014 V6 Mustang, I got a 2015 Camaro RS 2LT. Life is good.
Yea I made up my mind already. I'm getting rid of the charger for one of these.
Only a fool and his money would EVER buy a GM anything. There's a reason they went bankrupt and those reasons are still valid today. Just like the Dodges of old, beautiful cars, but pieces of junk. JUNK. I had an 06 Chevy Impala SS and even the 500 dollar trunk seal started leaking. That was the last straw. Forget it.
Doesn't hurt to atleast try.
I've always been a Japanese car owner the best of the best of Japan. Then Germans which was a fucking mistake.
Then I tried gm and I love it.

@@AAAA-nv5cf GM went bankrupt for a reason. Hello? I dare say they're no different today. Just look under a Silverado pickup a couple of years old and tell me what you see. A sea of rust.
@@dannysdailys Crack out much? I have a 05 Silverado with 250K+ and I STILL haven't needed to change the brakes on it. To be fair, it did/does have a couple of quirks, but rust and dependability aren't on that list.
I just picked up a LT1 as a lease. The deal was so good I could not pass it up.
Will be my daily as I retire my 2008 E92 M3 to second car duty to preserve it.

Can't beat the way a challenger looks though these cars nice
I'm thinkin a red 21' LT-1 would look nice next to the red 91' 1LE in my garage.
I just ordered one!
Hell yea
Instead of buying a 35k dollar new Camaro, I bought a 25k 2014 Spring Edition SS/RS Convertible 3.91 gears with 14k miles/LS3. Then, 2k for Texas Speed package, 5k for procharger, tougher springs, and now, she has an appetite for Hemis, Coyotes, and yes even the New LT1s. You come out about 5 grand on top and a couple hundred horses faster with a little room in the tune before you have to change all the internals. Thanks for showing her too us. Wild to see an 8 cylinder RS in the modern age. First time I’ve heard that and worth a sub.
I just picked up mine this Week its a 21 M6 white with a redline trim package RS pkg Tech pkg and NPP exhaust Basically same car as this no Sunroof for more head room .... they are offering a Very special lease on this car right now !!! i did 1200 Down total out of pocket on an MSRP 41300 351 a Month !!! on another car with 37500 msrp my payment was 292 a month . I wanted the tech pkg and exhaust option , the darn redline appearence pkg was 2100 - i didnt need it but thats all they had !!!! the money i save in payment from my hellcat im ordering a Heads cam intake setup on flex fuel should be a fun car at 3580 curb weight !!!
Great choice for someone looking to build it from day 1 and not wanna keep it stock with those skinny 245 rear tires.
Theyre going down in price too. Especially last year left over models. Ive seen a few base lt1 with the manual for 31k

You should do a small race with this and the scat
I'm a mid seventies senior, my wife and I decide to treat ourselves a couple of months ago to a nice new sports car. It came down to Camaro or Mustang ,, ( my dear wife nixed my " Corvette idea " ) ,, we chose the Camaro and I'm absolutely thrilled with it.
2021 Camaro 1LT ,, V6, RS package, 10 speed automatic with paddle shifters, 20" wheels and finished in Riverside Blue metallic paint ,, simply stunning !! ,, we put just over ten thousand dollars in options in the car and it was money well spent. I did test drive the Mustang EcoBoost Fastback ,, I know they are a wonderful car but personally I didn't care for it at all.
The Mustang was priced at almost $ 4000.00 higher than our Camaro ( $ 40,196.00 Cad. ) ,, sorry Ford, I just couldn't bring myself to pay almost 45 grand for a four cylinder sports car.
Good to know thank you LT1
