Can a will be drafted on an ancestral property and the beneficiary to be adopted kids?

The answer to this will depend on the religion you identify with, the rightful heirs to the ancestral property, how many of them are as yet alive or if they’re not, then what is the situation of their heirs etc. I would suggest you consult a professional for specifics of your case

In India, in the absence of any will you leave behind, succession is governed by personal law. So you first need to check the law under the religion you identify yourself with. If you are a Hindu, Buddhist, Jain or Sikh, you must follow Hindu law. Under Hindu law, your heirs are your children and your wife; Daughters have equal rights to your property, whether or not they're married. So in your case, after you, all living heirs - son(s), daughter (s) and wife will be the ones who will have an equal right to your property. Not your son-in-law or your sister, unless you will it to them. This applies to any self-acquired properties. But for any ancestral property, then your sister will have a right in the ancestral property, under Hindu law. This is simply broad information. For specific information pertaining to your case, kindly consult a legal professional for advice.
