India does have lot of money in government machinery but lack of improper fund management, rotting bureaucratic laws from the colonial times and a lethargic political and people who don't care anything accept putting their communities at forefront rather than working as a nation. I gotta wonder how they cope with knowing they're stealing from old people. Even gangsters and thugs would be veyr hard pressed to go after the elderly. You've gotta be the lowest of low to go for the elderly and kids, and the most vulnerable people.

I feel sorry for people that genuinely work in tech support having to convince people they’re in fact the real deal
Reminds me of something really funny an American told me. They said that robocalls are such a problem in their country that whenever the actual government calls everyone just hangs up thinking that it's just another scam. It's actually a huge problem.
You kind of don't have to convince them if you're actually just there to help them with a tech issue, the only time you NEED to convince someone you're a tech support is if you plan on asking them for 10 000 dollars in Walmart gift cards.

I love how scammers' need to use long words in places where they don't actually work resulted in them signing their email "Amazon fraudulent department" that's actually an accurate description of their business.
It might be done on purpose, to filter out the people who might waste their time by realising it's a scam

I've seen several tech support scammers use the term "fixation" to describe computer repair because they assume it's a longer form of "fix" and not another term for "obsession." It's common for people who don't speak a language to try guessing the word that they think should go there, and when attempting to sound like a professional you're not that usually involves misusing a lot of long words.

The lady's voice sounds somewhat demented, yet they never pick up on it... They seems to have a honed technical scam ability, but they aren't very socially intelligent. A normal person would realize something was off about the person on the other end.
Well English isn't their first language so it's harder for them to tell when something is off.

Look up Jim browning and atomic shrimps challenges they don't give viruses to hackers but do report them as well as save others from being scammed amongst other things

I work as a call center agent here in the Philippines, and India is the number 1 when it comes to call centers here in Asia even though they have a very heavy accent, we are just second to them and it's because they are so good in computers or in technical support. But it is quiet scary that some of them use their talents to scam peoples.

and after that indian guy 'explained' what was happening with her 'computer' (he was calling her on the phone)
