I can see oct 4 on it but what year was this comic? and any chance you can post the rest of it? I'm curious as to how slade gets outta that since I know hes got some mean healing powers lol
@Trigonzilla Here's the thing, it's a fight you need to wrap your head around and it helps when you're holding it. First of all, the entire fight happens in a matter of seconds. It's really so quick that Green Arrow is constantly moving around and trying to steady himself. The only one that did get a jump on Slade was in fact Green Lantern. The reason why Slade was effective is because he's just intimidating with all his abilities. The power of will just leaves Kyle because he is new.
I believe that its been established enemies can turn the ring against the Lantern if their willpower is stronger. He grabbed GL's hand and channeled his willpower through the ring to negate his defenses. At least I think that's how its been explained. I know there was at least one instance like that, where a villain grabbed a power ring, and the two had a battle of will.
@J3k1d0 good point about him being underestimated in the dc universe it self...I think they made it look to easy for slade but I can live with they just underestimated him. any ways good video the song fit perfectly with the fight.
@FreakShizzlez, that's a really interesting concept, right there. That'd make a good "What If?" Which I think they should bring back, it's been far too long since we've seen one put out. At least 15+ years, right? Every "What If?" I look at is made before 1995 it seems.
@codafett The rings choose their users, so sadly no it wouldn't have worked no matter how hard he tried but he effectively discovered the key to rendering a green lantern useless. Breaking their will to fight.
Even though the 10% thing is a myth, it's true in the case of the comics. So I'll say this, using 90% of your brain doesn't make him the smartest man on the planet, (ie. Luthor, Sivana and co. would be considered less intelligent than him). I think in this case it means he can multi-task efficiently and process information faster than everyone else, giving him a ridiculous tactical advantage. So he would definitely beat Batman, but that doesn't mean he's smarter than him.
no batman has essentially the same situational processing speed. batman is also better at pure martial arts but slade has the advantage of enhanced speed strength and a healing factor. him and batman are essentially = as a baseline but the outcome of their fight will be up to the writers and situation.
I agree, I'm not very picky on either of them or even play favorites, both are totally different in their own perspective, but at the same time equally great. I even watch both of their animated series from Avengers to Young Justice
@J3k1d0 the original deadpool is very different from the current version and as time moves on he becomes less and less like deathstroke. deadpool has made his personality and character his own... deathstroke doesn't dwell there anymore.
If slade really uses the 90% of his brain, he might have an epillepsy attack.. its a really interesting thing in comic books, but not in the reality, Trust me, i´m a neurobiologist
I'm an old head (haven't really read TT, or JLA since 86 or so) but I remember Robin escaped Slade in the Judas Contract. This was without the costume and before he was Nightwing. He barely held his own and got kicked out of a window but he was the only Teen Titan member to escape capture.
Great video man, but if I may point this out: The truth is, almost every hero in the fight was holding back in the fight. At full speed, Wally would blow by Slade and turn him to pure mush. He's broken the time, light and sound barrier all at once. So turning Slade to mush would be easy. In truth, they were holding back. But still, Deathstroke is awesom.
Awesome video, deathstroke is badass...... one question though? At the end green arrow came up from behind him and put a long ass arrow in his eye socket. How isn't he dead from this? wouldn't that pierce his brain and fataly injure him?
What most people don't know is that Deathstroke starts beating Green Arrow continuously after that panel because he really pissed him off. Of course that makes Deathstroke act out of instinct, ruining his calculated plan to beat the JLA, and makes him lose.
@J3k1d0 It's easy to define it as a myth. I am using Doctor Barry Beyerstein, who was a PhD in pyschology, and an authority on neuroscience in regards to brain function and consciousness. He even has several articles discussing the myth itself. What source are you actually citing for your study?
The reason why the fight is supposed to greatly favor Deathstroke is because he has the element of surprise. The fight is supposed to take only a couple of seconds after he takes out Elongated Man. Furthermore, if you want to argue statistics, then Superman would be all it takes to stop any threat via super blitz. You need to have some suspension of disbelief to allow characters with godlike powers to ever be defeated. Deathstroke has tagged speedsters many times btw. Many MANY times.
I would love to see any other villan with no real powers ie. lasers, flight etc. try to do that! Deathstroke is the most badass character to say he took down elongated man, flash, zatanna, hawkman, green arrow, black canary, the atom, hawkman (again), and green lantern and he only got hit about once by green arrow when deathstroke was "testing a theory".
This is absolute bs, even if he knows where flash is running he would be moving in slow motion to Wally, so basically Wally willingly ran into the blade in slow motion💀
The real point is, Slade couldn't simply 'slip it off'. He had to will it off. And the fact Kyle's ring was acting up strongly insinuates he could have accomplished the feat, had Ollie not finally stop pussyfooting around.
@J3k1d0 I think Deathstroke's abilities are more tied to the myth than any actual brain study, since the comic even cites "potential". People diagnosed with CIPA, while a disorder that they can't control, can't feel pain, discomfort, and hunger. They aren't uber badasses, just people who usually die by the age of 25. Deathstroke's vs Frank isn't apples to apples, and we saw what happened with Frank vs Daken. FrankenCASTLE, though...*shrugs*
Agreed. I don't see what Bane couldn't do in the Nolanverse that Deathstroke could out-perform. Bane was already peak-human strength, a big guy wh ois very agile, incredibly smart and tactical and other than the fact they pulled a rather silly (Though contextually brilliant) switcheroo on Bane's origins (and never showed us anything beyond "Ras didn't like him for uber-petty reasons, not even a Ra's V.S Bane training session?! Bah!)...Anyway, Deathstroke is great JLA villian.
@razorhead1985 I know that he was enhanced through military experiments but as I recall it was voluntary. Though I dislike superman, he never asked for those powers, and it must be pretty tough living with them on a world with such fragile creatures as humans (in comparison to kryptonians ofc). Slade has a number of advantages against batman, including batman's "no-kill-policy", but like I said Batman would only be able to beat him on equal terms which in superhero world is basically never.
These are still powerful members and Zatanna is one of the most powerful members of the Justice league. I would hardly say the Flash, green arrow and black canary Junior league members. Black canary is a master martial artist and we all know what Flash and green arrow do.
Slade could push and break Batman in ways that Bane (at his most genius and strongest) could only dream of. Thiswould be about Batamn truly being up against someone who outmatches him in every way that matters. Perhaps except for principles. A real moral quandry. I think it would be brilliant!
If anything we need a completely-original trilogy where Deathstroke gets hired to take on Batman Inc. Animated, ofcourse, DC'S strong-suit. In the first one we see Batman Inc come into being, we see a recently "pulled from semi-retirement" Deathstroke (Ala similar to the "New 52"), and we see him take on a contract for Bane and Ras. He succeeds in nearly killing Bane and "kills" Ras. Bane is obliterated in a h2h which deeply disturbs, and secretly scares, Batman, who has "never seen anything-
Humans DO use 100% of the brain. It's just that we don't use it all actively, and most brain activity is done automatically or unconsciously. It's actually a blessing that the brain works like this, otherwise we would have to think about every breath we take and we would have to actively keep our hearts pumping, and if someone were to stab us from behind, we wouldn't know because our pain receptors would lack the "automatic detection" feature.
Possibly the most badass scene in all of comic history.

I hope that one day Deathstroke will kill the entire DC Universe like Deadpool did to Marvel :^)
+Top 3's you know that's lame, deadpool who gets his by daredevil,it's stupid publicity to make him more op
Didn't he already killed the flash in this?
I can see oct 4 on it but what year was this comic? and any chance you can post the rest of it? I'm curious as to how slade gets outta that since I know hes got some mean healing powers lol
very nice song choice.
I hope Deathstroke will be in Injustice Gods Among Us, that would be awesome.
@FreakShizzlez, what issue did that come out of, with Nick Fury?
I believe that its been established enemies can turn the ring against the Lantern if their willpower is stronger. He grabbed GL's hand and channeled his willpower through the ring to negate his defenses. At least I think that's how its been explained. I know there was at least one instance like that, where a villain grabbed a power ring, and the two had a battle of will.
Can you upload the next panel? or a fight between green arrow and deathstroke taking place after identity crisis?
¿WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE SONG?
To track The Atom, Slade gained sub-atomic vision? Did The Atom also forget he's shrunken
smaller than light particles in the past?
@J3k1d0 good point about him being underestimated in the dc universe it self...I think they made it look to easy for slade but I can live with they just underestimated him.
any ways good video the song fit perfectly with the fight.
@FreakShizzlez, that's a really interesting concept, right there. That'd make a good "What If?"
Which I think they should bring back, it's been far too long since we've seen one put out. At least 15+ years, right? Every "What If?" I look at is made before 1995 it seems.
He was a good addition to Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe though. He is slowly becoming more popular to those that don't read comics as much as others.
@codafett
The rings choose their users, so sadly no it wouldn't have worked no matter how hard he tried but he effectively discovered the key to rendering a green lantern useless.
If slade really uses the 90% of his brain, he might have an epillepsy attack.. its a really interesting thing in comic books, but not in the reality,
Trust me, i´m a neurobiologist
Lol they corrected that a few years ago.
Now he has cognitive perception enhanced ×9
what is the name of this song and artist?
Holy crap... Deathstroke nearly beat several JL members single-handedly.
He practically did!
Deathstroke can use 90% of his brain at any given time without risk of seizure, that's still an amazing power that puts him above normal humans.
One of the best quality product been ever came from DC
I hear ya. You know the dopest thing about this whole scene is? The entire fight probably only lasted 15 seconds :)
I'm an old head (haven't really read TT, or JLA since 86 or so) but I remember Robin escaped Slade in the Judas Contract. This was without the costume and before he was Nightwing. He barely held his own and got kicked out of a window but he was the only Teen Titan member to escape capture.
@FreakShizzlez Nice elaboration on the subject :)
But still, Deathstroke is awesom.
i mean. they are always "holding back" they are the heroes. they never insta kill anyone so this comment doesnt mean much
what song is this?
Awesome video, deathstroke is badass...... one question though? At the end green arrow came up from behind him and put a long ass arrow in his eye socket. How isn't he dead from this? wouldn't that pierce his brain and fataly injure him?
whats the name of this song?
@J3k1d0 sweet........ do they ever show his face?
He may not be as fast as the Flash, but he dosen't need speed, when he know where he'll be.
What's the song?
what song is playing?
@J3k1d0 does he fight batman :D?
He’s like Batman but has enhanced superhuman abilities so he’s able to break through the normal human boundaries Batman is stricted by
There is no way Batman should be able to Beat Slade alone.
4 people were part of the Justice Leauge and this video brings back bad memories.
What most people don't know is that Deathstroke starts beating Green Arrow continuously after that panel because he really pissed him off. Of course that makes Deathstroke act out of instinct, ruining his calculated plan to beat the JLA, and makes him lose.
I like how DS fights always know how to deal with a target and disable him
This is straight from a Deathstroke fan fic. Can't shit like this passed editiorial office.
Hero glazing much
What comic is this and the #?
Anybody know a website where I can read DC Comics online? Been looking but can't find one.
@J3k1d0
It's easy to define it as a myth.
Deathstroke has tagged speedsters many times before though.
@@Archedgar it’s comics so I guess anything is possible if the writers want it to be
@@babygroot8023 I agree that you were wrong and have failed in absolute terms.
The real point is, Slade couldn't simply 'slip it off'. He had to will it off. And the fact Kyle's ring was acting up strongly insinuates he could have accomplished the feat, had Ollie not finally stop pussyfooting around.
@J3k1d0
I think Deathstroke's abilities are more tied to the myth than any actual brain study, since the comic even cites "potential".
Bah!)...Anyway, Deathstroke is great JLA villian.
when? please show me the scans etc
Slade is such a badass!
@MrDeadpool160 That's the cool thing about Deadpool. He's not a Deathstroke wannabe, but a comic relief
Interesting I guess i need to read more comics with those two but deathstroke is still my fave of the two
Deathstroke vs the JUNIOR Justice league!
These are still powerful members and Zatanna is one of the most powerful members of the Justice league. I would hardly say the Flash, green arrow and black canary Junior league members. Black canary is a master martial artist and we all know what Flash and green arrow do.
oh, man haven't you read secret six by Gail Simone? Bane so much potential that is so often over looked. Damn You Schumacher!!
Do you know a comic where slade fights batman? Now I'm interested to see how a fight between those 2 would go like
Slade could push and break Batman in ways that Bane (at his most genius and strongest) could only dream of. Thiswould be about Batamn truly being up against someone who outmatches him in every way that matters. Perhaps except for principles. A real moral quandry. I think it would be brilliant!
@EdSuavePerez im sorry i said deadpool LMAO, i meant deathstroke
