The Hu, amazing fusion of music styles
also
"Hu" is the Mongolian root word for "human being"
seeing these guys live was wild. crowd was half metal heads and half old mongolians coming out for some "traditional" music from home.
yes, their live set is crazy! I saw them live in 2022.
I saw them live back in 2019. They had an awful time slot at Tons of Rock in Norway. Around 9 in the morning on the smallest stage. They set the mood for the rest of the festival though. An incredible live band! One of few bands that does it better live than on album.
As a US Marine, we studied Mongolian battle tactics. The problem that warriors have is when there is no enemy to fight. We tend to not know any other way to handle things but fight. To all my warriors out there Semper Fi. Until Valhalla. NEVER FORGOTTEN USMC
Semper fi
Thank you for your service
Ancient warriors did not have satellite and radar technology to let them know the enemy was coming. Thank you for your service.
@@tomtomthepipersson6675 I don’t think they are implying that they did. How’d you arrive at that assumption
No kidding
Another one of their songs I love is Yuve Yuve Yu
Wait to you see A Song of Women, ft Lizzy Hale
That song has honest to god saved me more times than I could begin to count
The animals they were transforming into...the Garuda Bird and such, all have religious and cultural significance. This is a pretty deep song, and a warrior cry. If you come bringing evil, we will bury it today. Absolutely.
Garuda bird in Hinduism is the king of the eagles
@@biswaranjanmallick7407 I thought so, and I know a little. But I will bow to superior experience.
The intro to this cracked me up 😂❤
Gotta check out the Hu - Wolf Totem Ft. Jacoby Shaddix. Takes it to another level!
If u like th Hu. U have to check out Heilung (high-lung) anything is great. I've seen them live 2x now and it is an experience!
This song is on my workout power set play list. When I need that extra power though motivation.
After getting out of a terrible lifestyle that had me thinking I'd never make it to 21. I got Against All Odds tattooed on me. Because against all odds, i will prevail.
They did this song with Jacoby Shaddix of Pappa Roach and it's awesome!
This is called Mongolian throat singing,They also use traditional instruments.
The hu is a great band, love there music
Glad to see a new recruit in the armies of the Great Khan.
Best reaction. From Mongolia ❤
Nice 🤘🏻 they're awesome to see live!
yes, I saw them back in 2022 and it was crazy, loads of energy and a ton of fun.
Girl, you were ready to rock! So happy you chose to check them out.
Amazing band🔥🔥🔥
Love this band! They have several collabs with singers like Lzzy Hale, Jackoby Shaddix, etc. All very good.
I was lucky enough to see them play live in Australia 🦘
I've seen The Hu a couple of times in Australia ... what a great show ..
I would recommend "A Song of Women" by the Hu feat. Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Amazing Song.
They also have another version of "Wolf Totem" feat Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach. Also amazing.
The look on her face was priceless... l totally get her. Yes I love energy... I feel their energy when ever I hear them... I love it.
So the 2 "stringed" instruments are called morin khuur or (horse head fiddle) the 3 stringed triangular shaped instrument is a Tovshuur. The bird whistles/calls are actuality comming from one of the main singers. The are chanting their name but it has a little deeper meaning hu in mongolian loosely translates to "human beings". And seeing them in person the first time they came to the usa in a littile small 150 person venue was amazing
Are you Mongolian ?
@RandomMongolian no, but I have spent years researching the Mongolian culture of the Middle Ages. I am also a huge fan of The Hu.
@azrielbaz Damn, as a Chahar Mongolian I respect you.
@@RandomMongolian Thank you, I have always wanted to travel to Mongolian to see a Naadam festival but the price of flights from the middle of the USA has always prohibited that .
@azrielbaz Dude don't expect much for the archery , don't even watch naadam archery it's boring af , plus it ain't real mongol too its mix of manchu and European archery . Instead if you want to watch Mongol archery , go to Namnaa club to see horse archery there. Legit 💯 times better.
You should react to this song they did with papa roach excellent job both artists did
These dudes were so incredible live
i got goose bumps the first time i heard this song....very different style...the throat singing was frigging awesome
I still get goose bumps every time I hear it
They did a version of this song with Papa Roach that was pretty cool
The song was killer, thank you Taylor for the translations 🤘✊✊✊🤙
One of my favorites. While my son’s mother was battling cancer, my parents had talked to us about staying in the house they own in Illinois so we could save money and be in a secure position. The only reason that didn’t happen was because my older sister wouldn’t move out after she said she would. Then when my son’s mother was in hospice, we were told that my older sister was moving out and Logan and I would be able to move in to save money until we were stable to move on. Then she passed away and my older sister wasn’t moving out and I was told we had to figure it out on our own. We were fine for a little while until it came up that my son’s mother’s ex-husband came around trying to claim the property because his name was on the property. So I was forced to sell the home we lived in, and before we moved out, my older sister told me that she would move out so we could move into the home as originally discussed. We closed on the sale of the home in March of 2023, and my sister would not move again, but told me that we could move in until we could get back on our feet. Six months passed since we moved in, and my parents and older sister want my son and I out of the house. My family would rather I move in with my younger sister and start over from scratch than to have support from them. So instead of the support that they said they’d give, they’d rather see me on the street. I had no vehicle, no money, and had to quit my job because I couldn’t transfer anywhere near my sister in Iowa. We moved to Iowa in October 2023. I’ve been struggling to find work. I had an opportunity for a job in March but needed to update my CDL in Iowa for the position. When I went to update my license, I found out that Illinois suspended it for non payment of child support. So now I’m still struggling to find work. Target and Walmart both sent me messages stating they filled positions and weren’t interviewing. I’m not looking for a handout but a hand up.
Great song and band
You must listen a band named Bloodywood. This is metal from India. They have beautifull song Endurant. The lyrics and video have strong message.
Dana-Dan. No one is ready for it, till they hear it
@@jamesfriery6925 the whole album is very good, but Dana Dan... it's the goat.
Another vote for Dana Dan.
@@ugg10video76 thirded for Dana Dan
Jamming out to the intro.... 🔥🤣 Too fun!!
The 1st time I heard this song was Dec 2017, the best gift ever. My son heard it on his own at the same time. He came flying down the stairs to show me. From there, we both meandered through all kinds of genre of music around the world.
I love your reaction. ❤✨️
Mandolin, play in sin, fights to win, we will come in..
We are jammin'!!!!!
This is a wonderful spirit and soul guide groove... the version with the English language singer's band joining in was fah king awesomeness!!!
Papa Roach i think maybe (?)
Seeing them live is even better.
This is genuinely turning into one of my favourite channels due to the content and your reactions.
The Hu are awesome! They have done some partnerships with English speaking artists like Lzzy Hale and Jacoby Shaddix).
I’d like to recommend “Poet and the Pendulum” live at Wembley by Nightwish. It is not the normal song people start with when it comes to Nightwish, however it is the song that suits this channel the most as it deals with depression and struggle. It was written by Nightwish’s song writer the keyboardist Tuomas during the hardest time in the bands history and he basically ended his life in the song to stop himself doing it in real life, however the new song finishes positively with a new beginning. It is one of the best written pieces of music you will come across and is broken into Acts. I won’t say more about it.
Nightwish hold the record for most reacted song in UA-cam history with “Ghost Love Score” (normally what people start their Nightwish journey with. However, as previously mentioned, “Poet” suits this channel perfectly, especially if the research is done on the songs meaning beforehand.
Tge HU were great live.
Love that you've discovered The Hu Taylor, I've followed them now for a few years and really enjoy the meshing together of hard rock with traditional Mongolian instruments and singing techniques....a truly unique sound. I would definitely recommend more of them especially Song of Women with Lzzy Hale of Halestorm as a guest vocalist. I really liked the video myself with bringing in motorcycles for the Mongol Hordes to ride instead of horses. Enkush is playing the Morin Khuur (looks like a Mongolian cello) Temka is playing the Tovshuur (looks like a lute) from memory.
I saw them live last year and it was sooooo good!
This song is actually an ancient Mongolian poet that has been used by The Hu to create this song. Basically new song , old lyrics. And can you react to Tatar Warrior by The Hu ? Pls its my favorite song from Hu . ( i am a Mongolian )
If you like wolf totem you gotta give the woman's song by the hu a listen such a power song.
You need to check out some Badflower songs.
Family, Ghost, The Jester, and Move Me(live at the Hideout) are all great and bring some feels.
Try listening to Heilung! It too is amazing.
They did a remix with Jaocoby Shaddix and Papa Roach. Definitely worth a listen.
Would recommend listening to something by Heilung from the album Lifa. It's kinda European tribal music.
This is a must!❤
You should also do the version of this with Jacoby Shaddix (singer from Papa Roach)
You all should check out Northern Cree's "War Cry" circle drum song.
Id really love to see a reaction to a perfect circle kindred, its there newest song but has a super powerful message
You should do a react to any of the songs from OTYKEN
The Hu - wolf totem ft. Jacob Shaddix (lead singer of Papa Roach) is really good.
I'd love to see your reaction to Bloodywood, an indian folk metal band, but I can't decide which song to recommend. There's Dana Dan, Jee Veerey, and Aaj, to name a few. If you do give them a go sometime, closed captions are needed.
I actually listen to this song a lot when I'm at the gym.
Awesome ❤
glad to see you rock out to this. I saw them live and they are just as impressive…if not even more. but now that you’ve watched this one, please check out the version of this song that features Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach. it is really good also.
Iv seen them twice think they are amazing.
Please please PLEASE do the song of women by the hu with Lzzy hale, that song has honest to god, saved me more times than i can count ❤️
The Hu are great. I agree with some of the others here... you should really react to Song of Women and Yuve Yuve Yu. As a side note, I am interested in seeing your reaction to a few specific Five Finger Death Punch songs. I have seen other therapist reactions to them, but would like to see your take on them. They are: Wash It All Away, Wrong Side of Heaven, and Gone Away (a cover of a great Offspring song). There are many more you may find very good and worthy of a reaction from there as well. I am sure people would suggest more in the comments.
They did a remix with Jacoby from Papa Roach. I love it! Don’t have to react to it, but I’d check it out on your own time.
Please do Bloodywood, Jee Veery! You will absolutely love it.
Their Metallica cover is awesome🤘🏻💥🔥🙏🏻💯
Like the reaction
This has to be the crazist thing you ever heard. It was for me. The Survivor song Eye of the Tiger from Rocky had the same effect back in the day
It is a great song. I treated the vocals as another instrument.
It ranks up there with the Heilung song Anoana
❤❤❤
Love this song, such a motivational song. And you can't beat their sound. You should check out their collaboration with Lizzy Hale from Halestorm. It's called "Song of Women".
Great reaction
Love thjs song. Would you happen to check out bottom of the river- delta rae. Amazing song and performance
Uhh you do realize some of the best battle tactics and the second biggest biker gang in the world is inspired by them next to obviously Hells Angles
If you’d liked this one check out their song featuring Lizzy Hale from Halestorm called song of women. I think you’ll definitely like that one too.
The Hu means the people in Mongolian
OTYKEN FT OMMET UZCAN is a related vibe must check it too, don't know what the lyrics say either
Listen to their version of the Mother's song
Wolf Totem is my fav by them, but I HIGHLY recommend TATAR Warrior, for example.
Watch with CC to get the lyrics.
If you want to know what they're saying, there's an English subtitles version.
@heartsupport Hey I just wanted to say I really love your content and the meaning you draw out of music, as well as the thoughtfulness when you speak about lyrics in some of your other videos.
You should totally listen to Silence in a Room of Lies by ONI, it has a lot of meaning and is a bit of an emotional song, with an uplifting message. :)
Need to react to The Hu featuring Lizzy Hale - Song of Women
Got turned on to these guys from them doing the music for Jedi: Fallen Order. Sugaan Essena. After that I just fell in love with their music.
Please do Mama by NF. It's the part 2 of How Could You Leave Us. Love you and ur videos!
You are a therapist? I am 40 now. This one has no lyrics, and thats why i love so much this way, because everysound becomes what you need without artist imposition. Analize this song, and what could mean. Apocalyptica - Kaamos (Cult, 2000). Cheers from Porto.
❤
You make the funniest faces sometimes. You should do Megitsune by babymetal.
Great content, just a suggestion for the camera setup its personally distracting having 2 very different angles switching while the vid is playing so an idea would be to have one camera with you in the centre for the talking parts and the second can be dedicated for watching the video, so you on the side. It would rase the production quality and make the breakdown of the video better composed. Also would stop it getting too distracting from the video your reacting to.
Good video.
I'd love to see your take on Cane Hill - The Midnight Sun 😅
The lyrics based on/took from an old tibetan saga.
You should check out hatebreed destroy everything...don't judge a book by its cover....it's one of my go to songs for goid positive mental aditude....P.M.A.
The reason men sing in battle is the same reason we wear uniform we are one that's it as a Muslim our chant is Had (one)
Those awesome Magnolians.😂
Steel Magnolias!!
Mother's Day is coming up, might I suggest The Hu feat Lizzy Hale "Song of Women"....for you and everyone reading this.
1216 AD: The Mongols are coming! Oh no!
2024 AD: The Mongols are coming! Fuck yeah!
Old vet here. It would mean the world to me if you could cover qwerty from mushroomhead and maybe do the rest of mudvaynes md50 album. Love the videos and insight. Ty
Maybe mushroomheads a wonderful life album.
I hope you get your horse Taylor!
LOL thank you :) - T
you HAVE to watch their cover of Sad But True by Metallica!.
In the ensuing rap beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar this past week, I would love it if you reacted to Mother I Sober by Kendrick Lamar. Unfortunately, there's no video to go along with it.
There is a version with the singer of Papa Roach
You also should definitely listen to some more Rammstein.. You've heard Du Hust, you should try something very different - Zeit
You should check out song of women by the hu with lzzy hale great message in there thank you.
Check out "I'm Not Jesus" by Apocalyptica (I think I spelled that right😬)
welcome to the amazing, wonderful, scary sound of Mongolian 'throat singing'...................
mongolian throat music at its best, nice reaction because it can be hard to follow, ive never used translation
