@@johnnyxmusic That was part of Art Bell's magic, and AJ's magic too, they both pay respect to the subject and leave it up to the audience to decide what might or might not be the truth. Steve Isdahl's How To Hunt UA-cam channels are that way as well where he reads Sasquatch encounter stories. Too much of the mainstream propaganda news focuses on telling us what to think rather than presenting information and allowing us to think for ourselves. AJ's self awareness is astounding. Because yeah, part of the Why Files being amazing compared to so many channels is that it starts by treating everything as true. Then gives any pros and cons that can be dug up, but in the end, leaves it up to the viewers. Really, it's storytelling done in the best tradition of Art Bell's style.

I worked nights at the time this happened.
I remember the episode, because I was listening.
Art Bell and Coast to Coast Radio was my go-to channel all night on WLS, Chicago.
Funny thing, when I would up going over the road, I would scan the dial for any local station that had C2C on it any time I drive at night.
There were a few times I was hundreds of miles away from Chicago, and got WLS due to the ionospheric “bounce.”
As time went in, I learned about that bounce, and it’s ranges. I could get WLS way out west, in certain parts of the Rockies, and that would change with the energy patterns of the atmosphere.
I either freaked out or impressed a lot of my student drivers doing it.
Art was one of a kind, as this guy is.

@hendo337 I understand what you are saying, but I disagree. It's our perception of time that is man made, I.e. seconds, minutes, hours and days etc. These are just units of measure that man has created to put an order to our perception of time. Time exists, but it does not pass by at the rate of our invented measured units. Things are constantly changing I.e. we age, cycles of the moon etc. This in itself tells us that things are constantly changing and never stay in the present. We know that moving at the speed of light distorts our understanding of our unit measure. This demonstrates that an object moving at this speed actually slows our unit of measure down. So the theory exists that we could potentially manipulate the cycle of the constant present everyone lives in.

Thank you for the update, AJ..!! Long time ago back in the 90s, Art Bell had a forum on his website. In the early 1998, Art aired the time traveler line, and asked all the time travelers to call in. He asked the time travelers what would happen in 1998. One dude called in and claimed he was from the future. He said he remembered a cruise ship being on fire in Florida in 1998. If I remember it correctly, the dude was a student in 1998, and he remembered that incident was live on TV. I listened to that live show late at night, and some months later that incident did occur. So I went to the forum and posted how it seemed Art had a real time traveler call in, because that cruise ship on fire incident did occur in real life in Miami Beach, and that incident was reported all over the news. Then his wife Ramona deleted my post. I asked why she deleted my post, and she deleted that as well. Soon after that they closed the forum. 🥶

      That's entirely unremarkable and coincidental.
Seriously, that'd be like saying "I remember a tornado ruined some houses, saw it on the news."
This is an old prank. People do it all over the world, all the time, pretending to be time travelers. It's usually only supposed to fool children, though.
Setting the bar for evidence SO low that any fire, anywhere in Florida, anytime after the call, on any cruise ship/100s is simply childish. Why not ask who the next president would be? Or something that *actually* doesn't have hundreds of possibilities at any time?
It's obviously fake. So no, "that event" did not occur. A ship caught fire as they often do, and you can't separate it from some magic story you heard from a known fraud, liar, and conspiracy peddler.

At Art's peak he drew over 15 million plus listeners nightly. Art knew that many listeners would fall asleep during his 4 hour broadcast so he suggested they use their video cassette recorders to record the show's audio.
