This reminds me of the story of the kid in south america that converted his room into a shrine to aliens and was apparently being abducted. Wrote a bunch of script on his walls and then all of a sudden disappeared one day. Has WF profiled this story yet?? If not - would love to see this one broken down!!
Art and Coast To Coast got me through a lot of midnight shifts back in the day.Ironically it was my final midnight shift ever(I finally retired)when I learned of Art’s passing. He truly had a magical voice and personality.
Kids these days will not know the pleasure of hearing coast to coast am Music.. letting me know I was alone with my curious late night mind, typically driving with my pa or gpa thru the southwest United States
The first time i heard Coast, I was working nights, and a co-worker was listening to Art. The guest was Alan Alford, and they were talking about Sumerian gods. I had never heard such stuff, and I was instantly hooked.
I miss Art Bell. He was the greatest interviewer ever with the best gravely radio voice there will ever be. Only AJ on the Why Files can do justice to an Art Bell story! Thanks for this one!
I really enjoyed Art Bell… And I appreciate the fact that we had somewhat of a BS detector. Now, George Noory… Just tries to be or did try to be too polite… And he just like too much crap passed over the airwaves.
@@johnnyxmusic That was part of Art Bell's magic, and AJ's magic too, they both pay respect to the subject and leave it up to the audience to decide what might or might not be the truth. Steve Isdahl's How To Hunt UA-cam channels are that way as well where he reads Sasquatch encounter stories. Too much of the mainstream propaganda news focuses on telling us what to think rather than presenting information and allowing us to think for ourselves. I call that agenda-oriented reporting for mindless dupes.
@@mikenodine6713 nicely put. I also miss the sitting around the campfire aspect of the Art Bell’s show.. You know, people would call in with their own opinions and experiences and stuff and I thought that was great. Also, just the idea that we’re all listening at the same time.
I've seen you on here before & I always agree with everything you say. Especially this - I soo loved Art & I really do miss him. He was a rarity in the world, his thoughts & opinions were so ahead of his time. And he wasnt afraid to speak on any of it.
Art Bell (god rest his soul) was and continues to be one of the greatest storytellers of all time. He had the uncanny ability to keep his audience fully engaged, regardless of whether the story was total bunk. You sir and hecklefish have that same ability. I love what you and your team have managed to create. Keep these stories coming. When Art passed, he left a void in the radio sphere. This channel... Fills that void. Much respect.
Not saying George Nory is as captivating as Art Bell but coast to coast is still a good show. I've worked the night shift for long enough to hear some very interesting stories some of which have appeared on why files.
AJ's self awareness is astounding. Because yeah, part of the Why Files being amazing compared to so many channels is that it starts by treating everything as true. Then gives any pros and cons that can be dug up, but in the end, leaves it up to the viewers. Really, it's storytelling done in the best tradition of Art Bell's style.
I'm an old truck driver who listened to Coast to Coast for several years. I remember those interviews with Mad Man Mike. I was also an electronics technician in the Navy before driving truck . Mike made a lot of sense in his electronic theory !
Before there was the Why Files there was Art Bell. I spent many nights listening to Art. He was the perfect blend of believer, skeptic, and storyteller. And, of course, he had that great voice that you could listen to night after night. He was unique and he is missed. And, if I may say so, the Why Files is a worthy successor to Art.
@@lorainrossfordukrainiancat7624 Completely agree about Noory. I always say that he's never heard an outlandish theory that he didn't completely believe.
Remember midnight in the desert.. when he was a victim of a home evasion live on the radio all we heard was gun fire then we didn't hear from Art for almost a year.....RIP Art Bell you are missed by many.
Art Bell was amazing and I pretty much grew up listening to him. If Art was still alive I’m certain he would be very pleased with this channel and proud of AJ for all he is doing. Thank you AJ for filling in the void left when Art passed away.
Indeed... that is _precisely_ the sort of niche he is filling. On a new media, in a new format... but the same sort of itch that needed scratching in _just that way_ ever since Art passed on. Excellent observation!
I miss the Art Bell version of Coast to Coast. AJ is doing a great job of filling that void. Who'd have ever thought there would be a reason to look forward to Thursday of all days 😂
I worked nights at the time this happened. I remember the episode, because I was listening. Art Bell and Coast to Coast Radio was my go-to channel all night on WLS, Chicago. Funny thing, when I would up going over the road, I would scan the dial for any local station that had C2C on it any time I drive at night. There were a few times I was hundreds of miles away from Chicago, and got WLS due to the ionospheric “bounce.” As time went in, I learned about that bounce, and it’s ranges. I could get WLS way out west, in certain parts of the Rockies, and that would change with the energy patterns of the atmosphere. I either freaked out or impressed a lot of my student drivers doing it. Art was one of a kind, as this guy is.
Why files Thursday baby!!!!!!! We are all literally watching AJ become the next art bell 2.0 and I for one absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!! AJ and the why files crew are the best of the best. And they never disappoint.
One of your best stories, as you said, you don't talk down to , riducule or attack people, you let the story be about them and let it tell itself. This was really well written with dramatic pauses inserted exactly in the right places. Loved it, keep it up.
like the "antivaxxer" and donald trump. YOU DONT LET BS AIRED UNCHALLENGED, PERIOD. Thats why we have this societal problems nowadays. Wackjobs are allowed to air their BS unchallenged.
What a fantastic way to honor Art. I think many of us who watch WF loved Art Bell. He was one of a kind! I loved staying up and listening to him. He kept me company a lot of sleepless nights.
Man those were the days. I remember first hearing about bitcoin and thought about buying when it was a penny just for laughs. But had I done it I would have sold when it went to $5 probably
Does anyone else want to put a “T” between the W and F of his logo lol? That wouldn’t be too far fetched on my thoughts after hearing some of these crazy things…! Keep it up- we LOVE your channel!!
So, I just want to say this, I spent the last 30 or so years as a presenter speaking in front of 16 to 17 thousand people a year. My hat is off to you sir. I have seen scores of presenters that, quite frankly sucked. You have the gift. I would buy a timeshare from you! Your delivery and ease of communication is not an easy feat but you do it flawlessly. I wish you and Hecklefish a long and prosperous future! Love the content too! Always look forward to the next episode. Many thanks to you.
"The gift of gab" is a true and underappreciated talent. I know many people who are very intelligent, but can't really express their thoughts in a way that is compelling and charismatic. You brought up a very good point.
You're very kind but I'm kinda cheating. I have a script, a teleprompter and I do take after take until it's right. The edit might look smooth but I assure that I'm as clunky as anybody!
Art Bell got me through sooo many long mundane nights of security guard work. His voice was like a cool breeze in the freah midnight air. I miss hearing his 1 of a kind vocals dominant the airwaves. When I was feeling tired and worn out all I needed was a line of his Vocal Cocaine and I was guaranteed to stay Wide Awake. R.I.P. ART BELL you're greatly missed there were lots of IMITATORS but you are the one INNOVATOR of late-nite talk radio!!!
I'm from the towns where Mike was from... He was banned from every public swimming pool in every town because he would do belly flop after belly flop off the high dive. He said he was trying to toughen up his body because the hit of the belly flop was what it would be like to travel through time...
AJ absolutely summed up why this channel is so incredible and important. He never makes rude or condescending comments about the story. He entertains us while sharing the details. This is exactly why I’m a supporter and follower of TWF. There are no other channels that do what TWF does. Not one. We get details, actual details learned through research. Lots and lots of research. This isn’t just a story telling channel, it’s a learning channel!
Absolutely 💯% agreed. AJ & Hecklefish deliver the stories I love hearing about, but never had the time (or the will) to read about! I appreciate AJ, Jen, Victoria and Gino for all their hard work, researching and digging into the subjects suggested by us! Where else can you get such an interactive educational experience with the delivery and comedy?!... ONLY @TheWhyFiles ... Period.
i mean its good... but its not 'multi-million dollar network' good.. that simply isnt true. The color grading is off, the pacing is horrific (especially when hecklefish goes wayy off topic) ... its good, better than average even.. but its not literal top tier.
Also at 31:21 he mistakenly says "the higher the gravity, the faster time moves" but it's the opposite of that. He says "in extreme gravity like near a black hole, time would move very very fast" this is totally wrong, time almost stops 8n a black hole. I am disappointed AJ.
@@epictetus3406 the closer you are to immense gravity the slower time will pass, he says near a black hole time would move very very fast suggesting the closer you are the faster time is running, I watch all episodes of the WF I'm just saying he messed up there and it's a pretty big oopsy.
I got to say. Mad man really deserve a recommendation. This guy deserves a presidential medal. Whatever the case glad he got help from the american people who believed in his work. Whatever happened he was on the right track hats down. ❤.
Fo real. If he ever passes away (he and HF could be androids!), he better have a show to talk about how it was a conspiracy, next day, and he was just in Hawaii for a minute.
I've lived my entire 42 years a 20-60 min drive from all of these locations and I have never even heard this dudes name. WF, I love this channel, so much I'd give you a kidney. You and your team are a national treasure.
I live in Shawnee KS (right next to Overland Park, where the warehouse supposedly was). I hadn't heard of this either, but now I want to do some digging.
You never heard of it because it's probably not true, it's a story. You can't travel through time because our perception that makes us think there is time is only an illusion. There is no time. This existence is only a miniscule sub section of your entire existence which mostly occurs in a much higher plane.
I TOO LIVE 20 TO 40 MINUTES from these locations . I have seen some weird stuff around here. I ALSO think I may have figured put cold fusion. Like for real though, I need to know how to handle this , Because I solved the low occurrence of quantum tunneling in a palladium wire problem.
@hendo337 I understand what you are saying, but I disagree. It's our perception of time that is man made, I.e. seconds, minutes, hours and days etc. These are just units of measure that man has created to put an order to our perception of time. Time exists, but it does not pass by at the rate of our invented measured units. Things are constantly changing I.e. we age, cycles of the moon etc. This in itself tells us that things are constantly changing and never stay in the present. We know that moving at the speed of light distorts our understanding of our unit measure. This demonstrates that an object moving at this speed actually slows our unit of measure down. So the theory exists that we could potentially manipulate the cycle of the constant present everyone lives in.
It's crazy that one electrician can do experiments on things that "mainstream" scientists with millions of dollars of funding won't touch. I respect the hunger for answers. I also respect that no matter what topic you've covered, you always approach with level headedness. You don't down someone or even ask too many questions before you tell the facts at the end, you leave it up to us to decide to believe it or not and that's commendable. Keep up the good work, and keep looking for answers to the bigger questions.
you could check out a UA-camr who built a Jacob's Ladder and almost got killed by it. Electroboom is his channel. ive worked 2 years in electrical engineering and it's a field im glad to leave behind, high power electricity is effin scary.

Waiting for the Why Files is unbearable. It is the notification I love the most but then the wait starts... Best channel ever, anywhere any time, hands down. Thank you, you make my day every time!
My wait is longer, on Tuesday, I kept thinking it's gotta be Thursday. It's Thursday isn't it. It's Tuesday and I'm on the wrong side of Wednesday. Damn the wait.
I was a dancer at a club called Blondies in the nineties, Mike would always come in and give me a twenty. What a sweetie! He told me he was building a timemachine and I believed him!! He was humble and always a gentleman. I wish I knew where he was now.
I remember hearing Art Bell on Coast 2 Coast interviewing this guy. I was skeptical at first, until the arresting officer called in to the show! This one really had an impact on me and I credit it with really waking me up from my day to day to slumber of boredom. So amazed at WF continuing to deliver show after show. Like Art, you sir are one of a kind.
I totally remember listening to 2 of his episodes. He was the real deal version of Mel's Hole when I was growing up listening to C2C. I heard the replays of Mel's Hole, but this dude freaked me out.
There's a guy named Andrew Basiago. His dad was high up in the government. They did time traveling in the 60s, together. The story's match up pretty close, to this guy mad man. You may want to do a show on Andrew Basiago. He talks not only about time travel, but life on Mars. Be well.🗽🇺🇸🙏
Great job, AJ! Thanks for walking the walk. I have to say, this is my favorite to date. I've watched since near the beginning. I'm a single dad with sole custody of my 2 kiddos, so I don't have the extra funds I wish that I could contribute... if I could, I would. You definitely make it worth everyone's time. Keep it going, they make my week.
@@TheWhyFilesbad financial situation for my wife and I too AJ I love you and HeckleFish and I tell her about your stories, she's terminally sick and I do my best to take care of her but thank you so much for the entertainment and facts and for your demeanor it means a lot to me.
How respectful you are of people and the things they've experienced (or think they've experienced etc) is always a huge bonus of watching your show :) Thanks for being a stand-up-guy :)
There's no reasons to be mean to someone else unless you can prove that the person talking to you knows they're lying, if they're honestly just misinformed, or wrong, best to not get mad at them and correct them. Then THEY get mad! 😂
An very old sounding lady used to call in once in a while and say she was dead and calling from the other side. He would ask her all kinds of interesting questions and thank her for calling in. Class act.
AJ hit the nail on the head about how to present these topics online. I'm a very hard-nosed skeptic and balk at much of these tropes, but I do have enough common sense to hear a story out and withhold judgment until I have all sides on hand. So having someone present it in an unbiased, matter of fact way helps tremendously.
Same. My new bf is a big conspiracy theorist so I’m trying to open my mind to these ideas. I gotta be honest, some of this stuff makes an awful lot of sense.
Totally agree. I have listened to Coast to Coast with George Noory many times and have found him to be one of the best Interviewers for the reasons stated. There is a great skill in getting a subject to tell you information that is enough to confirm a real knowledge of the subject presented or a total fabrication. Now I have to go listen to Art Bell and the algorithm introduced me to this channel! Damn the internet! Like I don't have enough to do already! Love the commenters on this channel .
I remember listening to the original madman Marcum interview on Coast Coast in late 90s. That story stuck with me for years. And I was fortunate enough to get through on the phone line when Art interviewed Mike again several years back and I got to talk to both of them on the show live. Something I’ll never forget … RIP Art 🙏
That's awesome :) The Interview are still available on youtube and I was wondering what was the question you asked to Mike/Art as I have listened to the interview recently and would really love to know which question was from you :) Have an awesome day. Dan
My goodness, I love this channel. I’m learning about stories, myths and theories that I’ve never heard of, but I’m so fascinated! Thanks for another cracking mystery. I sure hope you’re out there Mike Marcum!
Your point about not crapping on theories or ideas is so on point. It's one of the reasons I enjoy your videos so much. I'm left on the edge of my seat because you cover it with a lot of interest. And then even when you go through the reasons why it might not be true, you're never like, "Yeah, it's fake you dumb idiots."
This is seriously one of my all time favorite channels! Thanks for giving “weirdo’s” like myself a place to get the 411 on “conspiracies” both past and present! Oh and one more thing, thanks for giving Art Bell the proper credit for breaking many of these stories to the broader community. Who knows maybe one day we will all be mentioning you and Hecklefish in the same vein as Art?!?!?! Never say Never!! 💕
This is probably my favorite episode yet. Thank you AJ ( and Hecklefish) for imparting these great stories in a fun and engaging way. Long may you both continue!
I was saying he should of covered this when he started this channel 😂I can’t believe he finally did it. Apparently he listens too his fans 😅 this just made my day
I wanna see him covering the constellations like Orion orions belt and especially how because of how orions belt helped saved the planet at one time and they are a perfect map aligned with the three pyramids of giza
I found you A.J. and Hecklefish on the tubi channel and watched EVERY episode twice, maybe 3 times. I was telling my son-in-law about you. He told he loved your stuff too, he said he watches you here, and OMG, I am thrilled!!! I love binge watching you!!! Now Im on to your podcast!! Thank you for all the hard work you put into this progam you do.
I have never, in the history of this platform, enjoyed a channel more than I enjoy this channel. I was hooked from the moment I found it and I don't miss a single episode. Keep up the amazing work!!! We appreciate you back :)!!!!!
I love the fact that you liked Art Bell. I listened to his show all through the late 90's and you are right. Art always respected his guest regardless how crazy their stories were. Now he did speak up if something didn't make sense or the story they told contradicted itself, but other than that, he was always kind and respectful. I see the same in you, AJ.
I enjoy listening to your episodes for the exact reason you point to here, you tell the story without judging the audience and present the facts where available. It is a very fun time. Thank you.
This episode is by far one of the greatest, and AJ's comments on how to story is even better. Thanks TWF team. Your videos are my must watch on UA-cam now.
Whether it’s true or not it makes people believe it (because it’s intertaining) so if you believe it’s true then it’s true?! UA-cam content is literally changing the world! TRUTH
For a girl who was more into literature and art it’s so nice to have you break down some of the science in layman’s terms for me and allow me to feel included during these episodes. I wish I had known about coast to coast and listened growing up. This channel has allowed me to grab some of that magic now. The comment section is always so positive and the videos are always full of hope. Thanks for not dashing anyones hopes no matter how wild the story.
You can still subscribe to Coast to Coast and listen to older episodes. I've subscribed to Coast to Coast on YT. It's always awesome to see a young fan of the unique, absurd and paranormal. Happy journeys
Spotify also has some classic Coast to Coast episodes. I discovered Art Bell in 2001 after graduating high school and working nights. Lots of great guests and a wide variety of topics
Really enjoy your content every week. Have you heard of the Hutchison Effect? I half remember it was someone with weird equipment who could levitate, melt, and transmute metals with sound. Was one of those really odd things that ended once the government showed up.
Thank you for the update, AJ..!! Long time ago back in the 90s, Art Bell had a forum on his website. In the early 1998, Art aired the time traveler line, and asked all the time travelers to call in. He asked the time travelers what would happen in 1998. One dude called in and claimed he was from the future. He said he remembered a cruise ship being on fire in Florida in 1998. If I remember it correctly, the dude was a student in 1998, and he remembered that incident was live on TV. I listened to that live show late at night, and some months later that incident did occur. So I went to the forum and posted how it seemed Art had a real time traveler call in, because that cruise ship on fire incident did occur in real life in Miami Beach, and that incident was reported all over the news. Then his wife Ramona deleted my post. I asked why she deleted my post, and she deleted that as well. Soon after that they closed the forum. 🥶
That's entirely unremarkable and coincidental. Seriously, that'd be like saying "I remember a tornado ruined some houses, saw it on the news." This is an old prank. People do it all over the world, all the time, pretending to be time travelers. It's usually only supposed to fool children, though. Setting the bar for evidence SO low that any fire, anywhere in Florida, anytime after the call, on any cruise ship/100s is simply childish. Why not ask who the next president would be? Or something that *actually* doesn't have hundreds of possibilities at any time? It's obviously fake. So no, "that event" did not occur. A ship caught fire as they often do, and you can't separate it from some magic story you heard from a known fraud, liar, and conspiracy peddler.
"No wire hangers" hilarious. Had me randomly laughing throughout the entire episode. That movie scared the hell out me when I was a kid. I had nightmares of Joan Crawford chasing me as Faye Dunaway. I honestly thought I was the only one who busted out with the "No wire Hangers, Ever!" when I saw one or one was mentioned. LOVE THIS CHANNEL!
The fact that Mike is still here doesn't disprove his theories or his machines at all! It simply implies that the future is either unreachable, or worse, undesirable.
Time travel is possible but just past time. If the future has yet to happen then there are no holds to reach it. No matter how much gravity or power you convert
The fact that we don't have a time machine means that it is impossible...the only way to travel through time is to move faster then light which can't be done because not but light can move that fast so unless you can ride light you can't travel in time other then at the speed we already do
You are spot on AJ. One of my biggest reasons for being a huge fan of TWF, is because you cover everything neutral. You lay out the facts, and let everyone come to their own conclusions. Amazing episode, like always.
At 31:21 he incorrectly states "the higher the gravity the faster time moves and in extreme gravity like near a black hole, time would move very very fast" but this is wrong. Schwarzschild's equation for gravitational time dilation states that the more gravity there is the slower time is moving. That's quite a substantial mistake, that's like saying time moves faster for objects in motion than for objects at rest. Its a little bit disappointing cuz usually this show is top tier.
Ye ye Respect the Legend 😎 on Hoodstas 55th 55th art just like Cmac real Ñîgg@ last of the dying breed he keeps it 5 with ya ya 5 me on hoodstas mane 55th
Yeah I like how he said that the Mike guy went into the portal and no one ever heard of him since, only to 5 minutes later say that all of that was a blatant lie and that he was actually still around and had a job, amazing storytelling
@@artv.9989 Would you rather have him lie and let you walk around thinking a guy disappeared into a homebuilt portal? Your comment is a perfect example of exactly why I love this channel, it provides the fanatasical, and the reallistic version. You can decide for yourself.
Often I think, "Oh, this is just some crazy story about a topic that I'm sure is nonsense and this episode might not get me." Then I watch it anyway because Why Files is just the best, and... I'm blown away, every time. Great job on this one.
When I heard "Mad Scientist builds backyard Time Machine," the picture I had in my head matched up pretty close. Growing up in Arkansas, I've met a few junkyard inventers that look like Jackle roadies, but could build a rocket ship out of a refrigerator and a few car radios
It’s so good if y’all could see me I’m car camping in my truck in the mountains to go snowboarding tomorrow and it’s a blizzard outside. Two episodes in a row now have started out with the phone resting on the dash. By the end of the first I had found myself uncomfortably leaned over the center console, wide-eyed, with my face inches from the screen lol, and by the end of this episode the phone was in my hand and I became completely oblivious to my surroundings haha it’s 1:19 AM. Enthralled with your work AJ you da man 🤙🏽
Art Bell is the absolute best. He is a legend and you reviving his story's and phone calls is amazing. I only clicked this video because I already listened to the calls with mad Mike on midnight in the desert, with that said you did it justice and keep up the good work sir 🎉
If Mike is still here and hasn’t died from something I really hope he’s working on another machine and I really hope I live long enough to see it. It’s hard to believe I grew up 3 hours away from where he grew up and haven’t heard of him until now.
Ya know AJ, I gotta say, your guys' sponsor segment is the only one I don't typically skip past, just because of how it's an amusing skit of its own. Also, I dig the addition of Gerdie. Gerdy? -ie, -y? Meh! Anyway! Love the content, never miss an episode!
The Why Files is just becoming more and more Brilliant! I loved this episode and got goosebumps when I heard Art Bell's voice. Bring on the crazy stories...we love how you present them...balanced and unbiased. This sometimes leaves me disappointed when they turn out to be untrue but I am always intrigued. Mike...if you happen to read this...don't stop believing. It is very possible that Mike succeeded with time travel and chose to stay...and as you said AJ, he may be preparing for the Big Jump someday! 💫
I will recreate this time machine for real. This time machine thing literally excited me since I was 13. ❤️ It is an ultimate goal of mine to travel in time to meet some people I never met 👍 all these years I was searching for the base of time machine on which I would create a real one and I m glad I found u explain this highly exciting thing. I will definitely make one like this in the upcoming years. Thank you so much ❤️

I totally agree with your assessment that your success in storytelling is by treating subjects fairly "no matter how bonkers a topic is." You're totally right that it's about the story, not about whether it's correct. Millions of people enjoy stories that are intentionally fictional; whether the ones you share are legit or not, they're still entertaining, and your treatment of them is perfect and entertaining.
I enjoy the stories precisely because I want them to be real. If he says at the start that the story he is about to tell is fiction, I wouldnt even bother.

It's amazing that you guys are able to pull off a show with this level of research, production, and presentation in just a week. So glad i found this channel a few months ago, keep up the great work, i'm addicted 👍
@@SoberOKMoments Yeah but they have an actual studio, team, and network behind them doing it, genius. Also, don't they have seasons? As in, they get months to work on the episodes then release them all.
@@-FAFO- WF also has support staff and maybe the first episode of a season has more time but in season South Park is made week by week. There is a whole documentary about the process.
@@ymmij5217 Good for them, but i assure you they have 10x the resources of WF to make their stuff. Just let them have the praise i gave them and go be a buzzkill elsewhere.
South Park hasn't had weekly released seasons in ages. Why are people assuming a South Park episode and an episode of the WFs takes a week to make? Do you not think they plan out episodes and start on scripts before that ahead of time? I think you'll find they even have a back log of unreleased videos ready to go. You couldn't do this if you took one week to research, write, record, edit and upload as well as release an episode each week.
Glad to hear Mike is ok. I never got closure and always wondered. Followed the whole thing with Art the first time around. This is the story that got me hooked on Mr. Bell
AJ, thank you so much for mentioning the issue about traveling through time and space. This is always been my problem with time travel also. I don't know that Mike sufficiently addresses this with what you've described about as machine but I'm glad that somebody has brought this up. Another great episode! Thank you!
Agreed, but more and more scientists are theorizing that time and space can only move together, and may even be interchangable, the same as energy and mass. Remember all this is based on our current, widely accepted understanding of time and space and how they interact, or connect, or if they are the same. Our current understanding may be completely wrong, the same as our incorrect record of mans history over the last 20 thousand years or more. It is all being rewritten as we learn more.
I ran into this channel a week ago and I love it. I love the format where he tells the story like he is one of the faithful and at then end he brings out the facts. Yet when he does, it is respectful . Hope he keeps the format and bring up more stuff.
Greetings from the UK. This has got to be one of the best WF productions yet ! I was thoroughly mesmerizing. Like you AJ I hope this guy is still around and tinkering.
AJ, your credits music at the end is a solid banger. I’ve left a video playing just to listen to that. Also, I’m an enthusiast for these crazy stories and the addition of Hecklefish is a genius way to keep it fun. Anyway, just wanted to spread some appreciation.
Please do a video on missing 411 cases. Id love to hear your take. New to the channel and this has instantly become my favorite thing on this platform!
I think this episode is the best one you've done so far. I agree with what you said, present the facts and let people decide for themselves whether or not it is true. I think you are right about Mike still being around. I hope he is and I hope that he figures it out. Your explanation about the earth, our solar system and our galaxy all moving at incredible speeds is something I'd never thought about and Mike's explanation about being tied to the Earth by it's electromagnatism surely addresses the issue. I hope Mike figures it out and gets it right. Amazing as always AJ. You and your team have outdone yourselves this time! ! !
It interests me that with less gravity, there is more speed. This could include how the aging process works. An astronaut traveling at high speed in space will, theoretically, age slower than someone on Earth or any planet with a greater gravitational field.
I'm totally excited about this episode. I requested this topic as I'm sure many others did! Listening to the original Coast to Coast AM interviews is a total delight and I'm looking forward to AJ's assessment of this strange situation
Except at 31:21 he incorrectly states "the higher the gravity the faster time moves and in extreme gravity like near a black hole, time would move very very fast" but this is wrong. Schwarzschild's equation for gravitational time dilation states that the more gravity there is the slower time is moving. That's quite a substantial mistake, that's like saying time moves faster for objects in motion than for objects at rest. Its a little bit disappointing cuz usually this show is top tier.
I love how Mike was just completely honest about everything he was doing even tho he sounded crazy he was really just letting people know hey I’m building this with a straight face 😂
Man, I think I’m way too into the ending song. But it’s just so catchy! 😂 As always, top notch across the board. WF has all the things. All of them. Interesting topics, fresh perspective, masterful story telling, and professional production. Plus all the feels! Thanks again AJ and Hecklefish. Watching this show is one of my favorite parts of the week.
Listening to an Art Bell show from 28 years ago is still as magical as it was when it was first aired. Art would say that Rush ruled the daytime but at night Coast to Coast owned the night. At Art's peak he drew over 15 million plus listeners nightly. Art knew that many listeners would fall asleep during his 4 hour broadcast so he suggested they use their video cassette recorders to record the show's audio. He explained in detail exactly how to do it and many did. It was a genius idea and helped forever keep his voice alive for many years into the future.
I thought I was gonna hear the story of a crazy person. I am pleasantly by surprised how wrong I was. I loved this episode. Hope Mike can achieve his goal

Art and Coast To Coast got me through a lot of midnight shifts back in the day.Ironically it was my final midnight shift ever(I finally retired)when I learned of Art’s passing. He truly had a magical voice and personality.
I feel like Art would appreciate that story. He was with us on countless dark and lonely nights.
Missed Art for sure as well.
Kids these days will not know the pleasure of hearing coast to coast am Music.. letting me know I was alone with my curious late night mind, typically driving with my pa or gpa thru the southwest United States
Same here.. thank God we had Art..
Especially this -

Hats off to Mike for always pursuing his dreams, thanks for another great story AJ
Well we still have George Nory and all the co hosts that keep coast to coast show relevant.
Not saying George Nory is as captivating as Art Bell but coast to coast is still a good show. I've worked the night shift for long enough to hear some very interesting stories some of which have appeared on why files.
Going back a couple of months I never knew Art Bell even existed.. Now he’s like my entire life!

when i hear Art Bell, it brings me back to the 90s when i would listen to coast to coast deep into the night. its so nostalgic for me.
I must have missed the ‘cons’ in this story. The whole story was told as if it was true and unquestionable.

There were a few times I was hundreds of miles away from Chicago, and got WLS due to the ionospheric “bounce.”
As time went in, I learned about that bounce, and it’s ranges. I could get WLS way out west, in certain parts of the Rockies, and that would change with the energy patterns of the atmosphere.
I either freaked out or impressed a lot of my student drivers doing it.

It not a true story, its a myth

The comment section is always so positive and the videos are always full of hope. Thanks for not dashing anyones hopes no matter how wild the story.

That’s creepy as heck!! Real cool story…..if only art was still around!
That's entirely unremarkable and coincidental.
Seriously, that'd be like saying "I remember a tornado ruined some houses, saw it on the news."
This is an old prank.
What's creepy is that you think that's remarkable in any way, shape, or form@@iknowyoureright8564

"No wire hangers" hilarious. Had me randomly laughing throughout the entire episode. That movie scared the hell out me when I was a kid. I had nightmares of Joan Crawford chasing me as Faye Dunaway. The fact that Mike is still here doesn't disprove his theories or his machines at all! It simply implies that the future is either unreachable, or worse, undesirable.
Or maybe he got cold feet and never jumped through again.
Time travel is possible but just past time. If the future has yet to happen then there are no holds to reach it. No matter how much gravity or power you convert
@@mambaking77 only if time is linear, that's just how we perceive it
The fact that we don't have a time machine means that it is impossible...the only way to travel through time is to move faster then light which can't be done because not but light can move that fast so unless you can ride light you can't travel in time other then at the speed we already do

I did not sleep through the 90s and early 2000s listening to Art Bell. The episodes with Marcum were amazing. One of the best stories. RIP Art Bell.

Yes Hecklefish. I get the "No Wire Hangers!!" reference. Mommie Dearest is a classic!!😂👌🏽

South Park is produced weekly, too. Smart people can manage this kind of magic. 😄
