Sir, you make the most mundane chapters of the bible come alive; this one is no exception. "...stacks and stacks of unleavened bread." is gold. 😂 Thank you for doing this.
I spent 2 years at a full time, residential, Evangelical Bible Training Institute. How come I left not knowing all this s**t is in the Bible? Where were you when I needed you? P.S. It was 65 years ago. Please keep going. 😂❤
Why all these secular laws need to appear in a religious text at all is beyond me, but the one about marrying a rape victim suggest polygamy was still very much a thing back then.
Came for Joel Reads Bible. Stayed for further adventures of Laz: Hebrew at Law! I've been reading ahead. If you think this is tedious? Wait until 1st Chronicles which is entirely recap and genealogies.
I've also heard the apologetic that because he mentioned the 8th day that it was actually talking about circumcision... so were they circumcising the animals too??? Why else lump them together in the same verse if not because they are meeting the same fate? Uffda the Christian gymnastics never fail to amaze

@@michaellomax8058 I’m surprised by this stuff too!! It’s so easy to see problems, I don’t know how anyone ignored them 😅

@@ziploc2000 Polygamy was 100% just the way of the culture for sure!

@@lionspawfilmandphoto The Bible doesn’t want to be read!!! 😂😂😭
@@JoelReadsBible the Bible is a crabby adolescent that demands constant attention but doesn't anyone to look at it.

@@kstorm22 It almost makes me agree that belief is a choice when they deliberately ignore all the evidence that this religion is trash!
Apparently the hebrews did a lot of vacationing and needed a neighbor to look after their animals. Who knew? 🤷♀️
