Militracks 2022 - Overloon Museum (4K)

- Every year in May - unless Covid 19 is destroying everything - the military vehicle meeting "Militracks" is held in the Dutch museum in Overloon. Here historical vehicles are shown to interested visitors and, above all, driven over a circuit. Of course you can also take a ride for a few euros.
Bad luck for the Nashorn this year - after a drive failure, it collided with a tree while being towed, which tore off the right-hand drive wheel and the final drive and badly damaged the track.

This is the closest I will ever get to any of those beautiful machines. Thank you for sharing this with us. God bless from Michigan USA.
Made in germany🔥🚀👍
That gun on the Nashorn must have packed a heavy punch, it’s huge.
The Nashorn is responsible for the one and only M26 Pershing kill during world war 2.
Its basically the same gun the tiger had, the 88mm
Great work !
🤣🤣🤣
Sd.kfz 7 is a beauty! And also a real beast!
Nice movie!
awesome
Nice camara work.
Old boys with big toys i like it
That is so cool.... Where do they find this stuff?👍
Prob when world war 2 ended they put the damage german tanks in a place where they replace the engine and fix it and then they transport the tank at a musseum in the mid cold war
@@Amy40Puerto Your probably right.. cheers from down under 👍🇳🇿
What a fantastic collection of 2nd WW vehicles! I feel sorry for the Hummel, does anyone what happened??
Not 100% sure but believe it caught on fire. I read of some restored German AFV catching fire. It would make sense since this one was complete not long ago. PA Appalachian Mountains, USA here.
@@grayh1829 it is possible because on the series of restoration on UA-cam the guy that restored the Hummel has installed a new engine but but I never seen any kind of oil cooler but I'm only guessing! Regarding the propensity of catching fire on German tanks, namely the Panther, Tiger and the Königtiger was because the engine compartment was completely sealed to allow submersion in the rivers resulting in a very hot compartment but it also because of bad welding of leaking fuel lines and flooding of the carburetors. They did addressed this problem by installing automatic fire extinguisher and opened a bit the "lid" but never been resolved also the provide protection against molotov bottles....
The vehicle being towed is a Nashorn, the version with the 88mm L71 anti-tank gun. The Hummel is the version with the 150mm howitzer.
In another video of the event someone asked the video guy if he was there when the Nashorn lost a track and crashed. I was looking for any video of that event and found this clip. It does not look like it crashed, or burned, but you can't tell. More than likely either the poor old engine or final drive gave out. The chassis was a little over worked due to the weight of the gun.
@@tankmaker9807 oops you are correct but I was tired when I wrote it, in my defence, sorry! But I wrote also that the engine is not original but a completely different engine and should be relatively new unless, as you stated, the driver had abused the the transmission or something like that....
@@paoloviti6156 For some reason your second post wasn't up when I responded. Thank you for clarifying. I understand an engine fire might not be visible from the outside, and if there was a fire, I'm hoping nothing was too badly damaged. Seeing the vehicle under power earlier was a wonderful sight. Something I will never be able to witness live.
Mann! 👆👆👆👆👆
i wish i could drive in a freaking nashorn dangg
someday i want to onboard these german truck, and singing ″erika″ 🤤
Wish I owned those

("Sgt."). "Yeai..!"👏👏👏👏🙂" I, Want 3 of those as functioning replicas." 😁🤪👍✌️🕊️. Thanks for showing that.
I wonder what there will be here 2023
What kind of breakdown did the Nashorn experience?
First the drivetrain broke. And when it was towed, it broke out in a curve an rammed a tree so the drive sprocket was torn off
@@thomashartwig3485 Sounds like they had a rough day during the event.
@@majorkursk780 it’s an nashorn
@@rikkert932 My bad...
@@majorkursk780 yeah they look very similar hummel just has an bigger caliber and shorter barrel

It's a "Scheuch Schlepper"
o nashorn n funcionava?
Broke down
The ongoing fascination of people living in countries once occupied by the Nazis with their vehicles always seems ironic to me.
I am Russian, but I like military equipment and weapons of the 3rd Reich. It looks very aesthetically pleasing
Ja hans ja

@@hamincohamicno4090 thank you for your reply, i believe used for the comet and 262 tugs?, but why so bloody fast, or have they swapped engines with this one...
Yes used for Comet & 262 but i'm my opinion it does not look that fast xD@@wor53lg50
