Perfect.. Didn't know how to switch between internal and external storage. You made it clear otherwise I was about to switch to CWM recovery. Thank You !!
bro let me say it, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! THANK YOU THAT WAS SO FREAKING CLEAR !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EXPLAINING THAT KIND OF STUFF, I WAS ABOUT TO GO CYANOGENMOD AND WAS AFRAID OF GETTING MY PHONE BRICKED, NOW I AM GOOD TO GO !! THANK YOU AGAIN !! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
Thanks for posting this very comprehensive tutorial! I have a Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 that I am about to Root, mostly so that I can use Mass Storage Mode. MTP is the only file transfer protocol on this tablet, and I hate it with a passion (can't use Teracopy, or any of the usual file sync tools with MTP), so I am going to step off into the Great Unknown here in the next few minutes, and install TWRP and the Root package (praying that I don't brick the device). I wanted to see a tutorial on TWRP before I actually do this, and your video is exactly what I hoped for. Again, Thanks!
Great and clearly explained video. No bullshit just honest clear explanation. You showed me a few things I didnt know about twrp and im not really a noob
Thx a lot man, i'm an idiot thinking that i can only put the backup in the internal then i need to move it to sd card, turns out i can put it in sd and i got a ton pf space in my sd so i just did a backup, again thx a lot
Great video but I'm left with one question. So my phone us rooted of course, twrp installed. I haven't installed a tom yet bcuz one thing I hate doing in Resetting up my phone. (installing apps, resorting contacts, texts, alarms things like that). Is there a way I can make like a copy of those things and reinstall them exactly how I had them after flashing a rom? Like install a back up after I installed a rom and keep the rom with the way I had my phone layout and certain settings?.....
I have a problem. On my stock phone the Nandroid manager will recognize the files from a previous backup. But it won't see it when I want to restore. This backup is when my phone had a custom rom and everything.
for the USB mount, does it only work for "external storage" how about pics/vids from the phone internal storage? will work also? also my note 3 is in bootloops, I want to install stock rom but I need TWRP to wipe out old one first is that it?
i just rooted my s5 4.4.2 what are the must have root apps i need. here are a few i''ve downloaded. titanium backup, supersu,,twrp, manager, lucky patch,HE network toolsCM rom manager, busybox pro,CM app installer, aptoid, which should i keep?? ty
hi....i use install custom recovery and make nandroid backup.....and suppose if i restore my device using that back-up....will i get official OTA updates for phone???
Hey I am new to android ROMS and stuff so my question is if I backup my Stock ROM when I get my S4 then flash CM+GAPPS, I can restore to my backup and everything is back to normal except for root right?
first of all this all depends on what android build number you are on and it you want stock back you can always odin restore the device. check rootjunky.com for more info on this.
How do I transfer Nandroids to my computer? For some reason, I get an error whenever I try to copy the file from storage. Nandroids are really huge, and I have a Nexus 4, which means I don't have an sd card slot, so I could really use the space.
i tried to back up through rom manager or speed boot and i press reboot recovery the mobile restarts and bootloader comes up,,. that box where back is done doesnt show up and i am left with options of reboot now, reboot through ADB or external soource or through cace then comes clear system partation and reboot from bootloader... is my mobile not completely rootred?? i am confused
yup great description on what each section does :). I altho, have but a quick question... on my Nexus 4, under Mount, i dont have the Mount USB Storage button available... i do have it available on my Motorola Atrix 4G tho... is it possible that option is available only to some devices or is it some type of bug? p.s. computer does detect my phone tho... as an ADB device.. so adb push/pull would be the only alternative to transferring files to/from the device... anyone else can confirm?
but i have done twrp backup with nandroid backup. and there is no image file in that the data must be 991 mb so it include my stock rom also. could you please help me to get back my original. thank you anil
??? if i F somthing up and get stuck in a bootloop or somthing before i restore can i just hit restore or do i have to wipe system/data.ect 1st then restore or does it matter either way

After installing all what would be the reason for why my phone would be still be going in the stock recovery system instead of that

if you have a full backup stored somewhere external you should wipe everything you can (that is not the backup lol) and restore it
