FYI guys, Samsung Secure Folder is available in select Galaxy M devices, Galaxy F devices, Galaxy A devices and in all flagship models like the S series, Note series and Fold Series! Hope you guys enjoy the video and find it useful.
Secure folder is ok for protecting files and photos but not for locking apps, if we turn it on it uses more resources and its like the 2nd phone hence drains battery. Instead of that Samsung should have provided some provision like locked folder in files manager itself like OnePlus and also individual applock lock for locking apps which is a must and every other oem has it the best implementation is in MIUI. Sadly using a third party app for locking apps but it's not reliable and using another app for hiding and protecting files etc it's a very good app first it encrypts all the data then hides it.
@@arpanmajumdar u are not supposed to sync any regular apps with your secure folder apps. Every app in the SF is like a completely new app on a different phone

But when i am home i don't wana keep it locked. Oneplus has this simple feature. In going for uniqueness moto n samsung has complicated simplest thing

Ive been using Samsung Galaxy phones for a few years now and this is easily one of my favorite features on this device. I use secure folder mainly to hide all of my porn
Great explanation. I have never figured out how to use secure folder because when I added apps, like banking apps, I could still get into them without the secure folder password. I didn't realize that secure folder installed another instance of the app and that once I set these up, I could delete the original apps that I installed. FANTASTIC! I feel more secure already.
great video, very informative. have to say second space or private space on chinese phones are the ideal solution to duplicating apps and keeping them private. im so impressed by that feature that i woudnt upgrade to a phone without it. You get a completely separate phone with its own apps its own contact list its own camera system and the photos dont cross over to the other profile, and you do it all using 2 different finger prints. each fingerprint gives you a completely separate phone.
I use secure folder to hide my social media, photos, videos, apps. I actually hide my secure folder entirely by removing it from the notification panel, hiding from my home screen by going to home screen settings and hiding it. How I gain access to it, is I go into settings, scroll down to advanced labs and then from there I select side key, then press the settings gear and then select secure folder. So now when I double press my power key it takes me straight to secure folder without it being visible anywhere on my phone
@@mobiscrub mainly to have a much secure folder for my locked notes. But I realized that it will just be the same, only that it will take me more folders to open before I can access it. But it's a nice feature though. I'm still thinking what stuff I will be saving there 😄

@@mobiscrub great video, you answered _almost_ all of my questions.. i still have one question that i cant find an answer to.. do you know of any way to completely remove the secure folder shortcut button from the pulldown "quick panel" buttons? i know how to deactivate it by removing it from the _active_ quick panel button group.. but this only hides it a little bit.. it still appears in the list of "inactive but available" buttons... and even if you renamed the secure folder icon, the new name is shown under the button, and it still has the original "folder with a keyhole" secure folder icon...even if you have the icon hidden from the app list, it would still be very obvious to anybody who knew where to look.. although it is locked when you unhide it with the shortcut button, i would still just like to know if theres a way to completely remove the button altogether, so theres no easy way to discover whether or not the secure folder is installed on the device. is this possible? i just thought of another way to determine if secure folder is installed on a device, even if the icon is removed from apps and the quick panel shortcut button was somehow completely removed. you could just simply go to the app store and search for "secure folder", if it says "open" instead of "install", then its already installed..a most unfortunate epiphany indeed 😔😔 even though i understand there isnt any way to "totally" hide it, do you know if theres a way to get rid of that quick panel button? thanks either way!

so we just use the clonning of the original app in the secure folder and we can delete the original app from home screen safely?? but can we still update them at the playstore if there are some update from developer of the app if we just using the clonning (not original) app? thank you for ur sharing
Secure Folder is basically a second phone within your phone that works exactly the same way as your normal phone does. Yes, you can update and use accounts just like you would with your normal phone.
You can actually install 3 copies of messenger, snapchat and other chatting apps in samsung. You can have an original, a clone as install 2nd messenger app and secure folder one. Guys if you are thinking to root. Please don't do. You will lose access to secure folder, work profile and different other samsung knox features. It is like one time open only so if you have to really think about rooting samsung phones.
