Reminds me of when Amy left me for Jerry back in 7th grade. I was heartbroken - for about 15 minutes.
Hit after hit on their debut. One of the greatest albums ever.....
This song still better than anything they making today. Still listening June 2024
We played a lot of The Cars in high school. Several of their hits told stories about our relevant lives in the late ‘70’s. ❤❤
So glad i grew up in a time this music was happening. RIP Ric and Ben
I still remember the first time I heard this song on vinyl on my step-father's stereo. IT STILL F*CKING ROCKS!
Well then what is the problem?
This came out the year I started dating my wife of 41 years, She passed away in March of 2001. This song always touched me because she was dating my best friend when we met. When they broke up in 79 We started dating and the rest is our story for 41 years. Brings me to tears every time.
When this first came out every time we got in the car my mother would want this song played... She always wanted me to put in the cars tape LOL she would be 89 now and would still be asking for this if we still had her with us :(
No other band came close to them - they were in a league all their own, and always will be
Truly one of the best rock groups of all time.
Freaknnn. Classic!!!!!!!!
The Cars will live on forever 🤘😊🇨🇦
Rest In Peace to both Benjamin Orr and Ric Ocasek
R.I.P. Ric Ocasek
Ric Ocasek was one of the all-time great American songwriters: the spirit of Buddy Holly in the body and mind of Mr. Spock, a new wave eccentric who always wanted to brush your rock & roll hair. That’s why the world is in mourning at the news of his death yesterday, at the age of 75...One of the best debuts ever...Debut was like a greatest hits disc in my opinion...RIP...
Ric Ocasek had such a unique voice and his song writing was brilliant. And then you had Ben Orr who just had an amazing voice. What a band these guys were. ❤
The memories this song brings back.
Brilliant song. 1st record I bought, 1978.
Ric also had such a unique voice!! We were so blessed having all these great artists! 😢😢
