I grew up in the 80s and 90s and I agree with what you said. Although it wasn't necessarily JUST Kathleen Turner. There are others like her too. But actresses and stars like these, I loved them so much more and I would yawn when people would go on about Cher and Madonna etc. I always say the MOST popular people, are popular because they appeal to the lowest common denominator. I like to aim a bit higher.
