Glad to see you are doing videos like this at a greater rate than the past. In think it will help your brand. As an architect, I have long been interested in your system. Never designed one, but would be great to change that some day. Really like the cistern. I had a similar idea of putting one under the main roof volume, like a basement. It looks like this is limited to under the patio. I noticed how the whole perimeter is all curbed with a wide concrete gutter for catchment. You could have mentioned that.
You could also go back to look at the video of this home earlier in the construction process. You can then see explicit details of the catchment and cistern system. 👀
For the venting for plumbing systems, do you run the pipe through the roof during construction like you do the conduit or is it done post construction by drilling?
I would have liked to see something about the heating & cooling systems. I have been a Dome fan for decades. I have visited Itiliy TX several times and even spoke to Dave about them.
I'm curious about the electrical work. The ceiling fans in particular were baffling. It doesn't look like there's negative space between the mount and the dome structure itself for the wiring to be hidden away. In a standard home such is usually the case. How's it handled in dome construction for situations where it would need to be accessed post build like replacing the aforementioned ceiling fan, or a light fixture, an electrical outlet, etc.....
After the rebar is installed, electrical conduit is run. The concrete embeds the rebar and the conduit. Standard electrical boxes are left embedded in the concrete so that you can easily mount any fixture.
Who is your round window supplier? Have a link? Are you still drawing your home plans in one dimension, or have you moved to a 3D software? I love this house.
The water system is just amazing, very informative 🎉
Nice work, Mike! I went to your workshop a few years back. I admire what you guys do. I hope business is good for you.
3:08 Thank you for updating on the beautiful dome home it's beautiful Thank u I love it
What a great alternative to traditional-build homes that are prone to tornado and wild fire damage.

@@mrwayneright You figured out that the whole dome is part of the catchment system.
"You could have mentioned that." - He does mention it. Starting at 9:07 he discusses the catchment system.

That guitar music in the beginning of this video reminds me of the Guns and Roses Mr. Brownstone song.
Wonderful View of a Fence or Wall?!

Gorgeous! How much did this cost? How is it heated/cooled?
@@stacking4retirement222 We find that the Monolithic Dome homes in costs about the same as a custom home in your area. Standard HVAC
That’s amazing!
