one of the reason why this game is extremely not balanced! impossible to know which survivor also plays killers! game is extremely easy if you understand killer power/addons or play survivor long enough. chasing 1 survivor that understands the game especially right at the start like this onryo can be a lost for killer which is kinda a huge problem in match making just like survivors in solo Q who get teammates who can't loop period or don't understand the basics. this game slightly favors survivors.

I'm really glad you made a video about this, I don't mind even when its the slugging type Sadako, I know this is a different way to play them, its different then all the killers and in the end of it, matches are way more interesting like this then just the regular hooking unhooking type stuff, and as for terms for the slugging I don't mind it is no different then being on a hook doing nothing so I don't get the stress for it all. Awesome survivors ya got!
The difference between hook & slugging is that slugging you can't reduce your bleeding timer but hooking can but cost you to be eliminated from the match
@@shenelljohnson74 that makes no sense also slugging takes 4 minutes to bleed out so the survivors can just leave the person on the ground do gens then pick them up
@@brysonemery9232 how doesn't it not make sense, your slug you have to wait which is a waste of time, meanwhile if you on hook you can hold a button called (PS4 here) R1 until your meter goes fully down to zero so your telling me 4 minutes is faster then a few seconds or what?

As with everything, going against your main is always fun no matter what. I hate going against Ghostface for example (I think his stealth is the best in the game and when playing casual hard to counter). But on the other side, I love going against Wraith, some people hate him, but every time I go against one I do all the little tricks I know work agaisnt him just because I play him so much. But my duo for example loves going against Ghostface, which is her Killer main. I really don't mind condemn Sadako, I just hate the gen slowdown meta rn which is really annoying because it forces you to do the most boring thing over and over which is gens (also they don't pick so rip my flashy :c), and usually condemn Sadakos are running the usual Eruption Overbrine combo which makes gens awful.
With the new survivor HUD soloq gen efficiency has definitely gone up. It’s very easy to gen rush killers who don’t have good mobility or any sort of map pressure. I also understand survivor pov of doing the same gen for 10 mins. The meta is just stale and boring to go against for both sides. That’s why I like using niche underrated perks. Even if I lose at least I had fun playing the game.
You make a good point about the constant interaction being fun I think the frustrating thing is just that you kinda have to get lucky in soloque, codemn is very good at singling out the weakest link and once they get morried it becomes a serious uphill battle for survivors. That is totally on them obviously, I think survivors are just frustrated with dealing with that because odds are they won't get a team without a weak links. I think strong survivors or SWF have no room to complain tho, onryo games should be a blast that let's you do all the fun things a survivor wants to do.
I don't love slugging as Onryo tbh, even though that is better for condemn I just don't enjoy doing it that much, I tend to use condemn as a secondary mechanic and my stealth mind games and teleport as my primary one
The part I hate the most about the playstyle is the usual Eruption Overbrine combo which is really annoying, but other than that it's a fun way to play.
Hmm, almost as if survivors actually play the game, use their brain and dont DC/give up at the slightest inconvenience ("because they are not having fun") this playstyle all the sudden is not OP broken lmao. Wish more of the community would share this mindset.

Fck… that must've been the best match he had, he was so excited seeing someone else actually running the build he popularized.... he must've felt proud.
Actually don't get how people can hate so much on killers or builds they consistently go against because it's 'stale' but when they go up against a killer which fundamentally changes the game like no other killer can, they somehow hate it even more. Before Onryo the Pig was the only killer which kinda changed things up but even then, her traps were passive and she still relied on hooks. Now you have a killer that completely moves the goal poasts where interacting, countering and learning becomes far more hands on. I feel that's so much more fun than the 100th killer where all you have to do is dodge and that's exactly why I love playing her but I guess she's an acquired taste.
Because survivor mains are entitled and want to be able to bully killers without any skill. In other words, they want to maintain an inflated ego of being good at the game when in reality they are actual trash.

i wonder if the eruption nerf will kill this build? in a sense the 10 seconds of aura after downing a survivor might actually help it in some instances but the lack of incapacitate will hurt the long game.

What happened at the start when she manifested and then got banished to the shadow realm by the pallet stun, is it a visual glitch or what?
12:30 true… this killer is different than the current 3-gen bulsht. the match is not slow because the killer just rotates around in a circle. but you just have something else to manage because that's her system of 'hook'.
As an Onryo main myself, i live for these games
going in a locker 10:48 would of been a slightly better play to force animation stall otherwise pretty good with 1gen left its probably safe to let her hook if thats what your worried about if your all fresh

It's fun if you have a team that actually knows what to do. I got a teammate recently that picked up a tape, never deposited it and then died. I don't know the whole story of course. If I ever got a condemned Sadako, my team would die or dc, that's my bet.
As a Sadako main, I still think the forced condemnation playstyle should be nerfed so that other playstyles can be buffed. Not to say that you can't still use it, but condemnation as a whole would play a bigger part rather than being an afterthought in normal gameplay and a menace when forced.
I personally don’t like going against Condem builds just because once you realize they just try to chase you into TVs and stop running they can’t do anything but leave you on the ground. Plus in solo q there is always that one guy who dies to condemn because they don’t know what they’re are doing.
I haven’t gone agianst a condemn sadako player in a public match yet. My friend did in kyf but he needed up just slugging us all
i played against an Onryo awhile ago while working for my Ace Adept, she scared the shit outta me a couple times, but it was really fun. she let us all go, and i got the adept!
Been on a challenge to get both Iri on killer and survivor in the same reset (don’t judge I don’t play much). Duos survivor and I’m not great. Haven’t once complained about killer. It’s always a team mate DCing or not doing the objective or just killing themselves on hook. I just can’t understand the survivor salt. You already have a huge advantage and you DC. It’s crazy.

I had a feng min dc against my sadako after I got one condemn and downed her fro the second time and I was using a end game build, I didn’t even slug

Survivors just like to press their right mouse button on a generator or hold their W key around pallets man, their brains can't comprehend complexity, it's why they play survivor.
i am survivor main or even survior only now , but i dont mind this strategy at all,i played vs this type of play like 10 times by now and it was fun actually,you need to do so much stuff .... but playing vs knight-this is the thing i hate the most........

Eh sadly in a situation like that onryo just loses (see one pump Willie vs hens and friends on otz channel(and that was a fun squad)) sadly with a character like sadako if you co against a team like hens’ team with Dan and virtual you just lose due to character limitations

condemn sadako is super hard and on top of it all, easily beaten by decent players. 4 slow down perks to give her enough time to stack condemn is essential.

I think the Onyro is DBD's best showcase that there can be more depth to killing than the hooks and special powers that benefit hooking, and I get there are killers that use them exclusively, but having a side strat or even a focused strat is deepening.
Actually hilarious that people call this build boring. It's arguably the most unique killer and build in the game and actually requires a lot of skill to even be successful with. The people who call it boring just say that because they get destroyed by better players and can't do anything

What stream day did this vod clip come from? I’m curious if teammates were watching stream or !join cause it’s a disingenuous statement video if so… the condemned build is so boring. I’d rather be killed in 2min by a nurse and get 2k pts than spend 30-45 min in an Onryo match and get 40k pts. Time investment v payout is an important consideration in a match - anything over 10min you’re not even getting more XP. But I get ppl who have everything maxed not caring that much. I feel like this playstyle would benefit from either a buff or nerf to make the game time go down to a 10minutes game…

I think my personal issue with facing Condemned Onryo is just the fact that I spend most of the match moving from place to place just for the tapes. Does it keep me alive? Yes, but it makes me feel useless and like Im not contributing to the team. I mean hell, even in this video, you spent most of the time just delivering tapes.
And on top of that, it's suggesting my team is smart enough to also manage tapes as well. Like keeping myself alive is one thing, but I cannot control other people, I cant control if they decided to get a tape or not. Most matches against this playstyle just result in matches were one person is going to die and there is nothing I can do about it. At least against normal matchups, I can get flashlight and pallet saves, but since Condemned Onyro slugs most of the time, it just feels like any effort towards helping my team is useless or short-lived.
The whole "feeling useless" thing is by design, I think. The idea behind Sadako's curse, and part of what makes it scary in the movies is that once you're cursed, the only way to prevent your death is by... well, _condemning_ someone else to that fate instead, and passing on the tape. Obviously, it's hard to balance a power around the idea of teammates deliberately fucking each other over to save their own skin, so instead They went with something more like Pig's RBTs; putting you on a timer to your death, and forcing you to preserve yourself before doing gens, or healing teammates. Only Sadako is less limited in this, since the only limit to how much she can condemn people is the amount of time in a match.
Can't blame you for disliking unreliable teammates or slugging, though. That's totally fair lol, though its more of a problem with roots in the game itself rather than Sadako specifically.
If it feels useless to be delivering tapes, know that the sheer fact that you're remaining alive and in the game *is* useful, and tapes are how you do that. Especially if youre carrying a lot of the team's burden by healing them and picking them up, or removing TVs from hotspot areas.
As good as the arguments you present are, fun remains a subjective matter and it is the subjective opinion of the overwhelming majority of survivors that they hate going against slug Sadako. I'm sure you can have a blast playing in this style against like-minded opponents, and I certainly won't tell you to stop doing this in public lobbies because this is your game and you play it however you like. But I'll just say as a Sadako main that it sucks when everyone fucking disconnects against us because they're sick and tired of this playstyle and they often won't even wait to see your perks and addons in case you're not playing that way.
The most fun way to play against an Onryo & actually feel her power but still have a true counterplay.

game has kinda turn into trash with the new HUD info should of never BEEN released for solo Q it was more fun playing survivor the horror and scare of the game has gone away some the hud is just STUPID with the killer chase info i dont like it when im playing survivor and its not needed period, i will say this game does seem to benefit survivors. survivors just need average or good players for their team its the stupid ones that ruin it as well the stupid ones ruin the balance of this game as well. condemn Sadako can be fun but extremely risky due to no hooks late game and she is a m1 killer so get rdy for them body blocks.
LETS be real survivors in general are just trash so man things you can do to counter and they don't speak facts! unbreakable counters this, self healing counters this, blessing totem use to counter this with ez, medkits counter this, PLAYING KILLER counters this! so many survivors can't even play killer cause its to stressful for them, but thats how you get good and understand killers and most importantly ADDONS.

If she stays near you and camps while you are down move to a corner and everyone does gens just like if you were hooked and camped. You should not be downed for the whole match unless your team is bad. AND THERE ARE PERKS FOR IT. just like if you were hooked you can bring perks to help with being slugged.
also the guy you replied to didnt even say anything about slugging he said condemn onryo. You dont need to EVER slug to do this strat. Yes it does help but you can argue that with any killer. Fighting condemn sadako is amazingly fun.
