@duanekingmagic Hi Duane. I'm not sure if you realise how fabulous your self-titled album is. I almost feel like a nervous fan writing to someone from a band I'm blown away by. I've collected a whole host of UA-cam links of rare and obscure albums, and I have to tell you this, Magic - Magic is one of the few albums I keep returning to relentlessly ... it's like I just can't have enough of ... ok, I admit, I'm addicted to it even. It encompasses everything I love about music. Fundamentally, it has the best basic ingredients - great songwriting, excellent arrangement, fantastic performance and great voices. There's simply no substitute for any of that. That's what separates the great from the good, average and poor. The self-titled Magic album is flawless start to finish ... not a bad beat or note in its entirety. As a former music journalist and musician myself, this is the kind of album I want myself and my band to write and record ... a template, if you will. It contains all the rootsy music flavours I love - rock, blues, country, soul, funk etc, and you guys have melded all these sounds soooo seamlessly, which is the true magic to it. I have a pretty sizeable collection of CDs and records, and while I have all the standard classic rock stuff (Led Zep, Deep Purple Hendrix, Cream etc) and much much more, I have no qualms saying Magic stands to-to-toe with any one of their albums ... an absolute masterpiece. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you and your band have left behind for us. Being a serious record collector, how I wish I could have that album on either CD or LP, and not just a UA-cam link. What I'd give to have a coffee/beer and chat with you and hear stories from your time. Greetings from Malaysia.
