Chinese just hits different
go away, it’s been 6 months-
The bodokun cover is similar to the Chinese version but in English and two other languages
Because it made for chinese the rest are translated
@@afy1223 true but her singing voice in Chinese is the best imo, language aside
That's what it's meant for, the translate messed it up so bad :))
I agree
ofc chinese version is the best cause they built the song around that language. i’ve seen so many ppl attack hu tao’s eng va bc of the song but she only sang the part she was given. she had no control over this
Worse, there is an edit on reddit where the person just changed the rhythm and it was so much better.

Chinese just hits different, there’s something about it
yes, because its a chinese game. so the lyrics are translated from chinese.
(CHINAA ❤❤)
Chinese is just a beautiful language
Maybe its cause the game was made by Chinese developers and the original language was chinese😊
it's her native language and the rest are dubs
liyue represents china.
The Japenese and Chinese ones just hit different
@kiemi39 well, the Japanese one is actually better then the rest, but I still like the Chinese one the most
@kiemi39not rlly. Some people js have different tastes, and they choose the language because they think it fits the character
@kiemi39Korean and English are so offbeat💀
That’s most likely due to the beat being for the Chinese one, and Japanese having similar words to Chinese because it’s derived from the Chinese language
@@bishibibisame words with different pronunciation. Chinese and Japanese are equally hard languages to make a song out of. English and Korean are easier languages (despite Korean being derived from Chinese somewhat) so they became off-beat with difficult beats made for a difficult language
Can we just talk about that last note in the Chinese version- it's so pretty
trueee
chinese! bc i sounds good and i know what they r asying
We know ☺️👍
I'm just going to make some random quick point out that china claims Japan is from theirs since a guy from China went to Japan (don't think it. Was called Japan back then) because the trees and stuff and more people from China went there and then they made their own language.
Idk that's all I remember but now that I think about the way they speak it kind of reminds me why I am a bit familiar with some words lmao

All of the VAs really did their best
Korean VA felt most struggled with the lyric translation. It seems like the syllables can't match up with the beat. But they really did their best despite it and I can feel their utmost effort.
English VA also felt the same but I personally feel like they caught up with their voice's charm.
JP VA felt the most in sync with their lyric translation (out of the three translated lyrics). Also heard this VA rap in an anime, and they can really pull it off. (Side note: I'm amazed by Xinyan's voice in JP ver as well. though I haven't heard the other versions yet).
CN VA is hands down the best. The lyrics are originally in this language so that means it is meant to be in-sync with the beat. Furthermore, VA's voice at the latter part felt heavenly and makes me want to search for the CN version of this song and replay it all over again.
Finally someone respectful! I totally agree. English sounds off-beat at the beginning but it's because that's probably the best translation of the lyrics they could do without losing the meaning, and near the end it actually sounds on-beat for me. I'm actually sadder that the first few notes in Xinyan's part just sound like they're off-key, and not in a very good way.
Why u writing a god dang essay 💀
Genshin’s Chinese VAs really do have a talent for singing! I know Hu Tao’s VA is quite well-known already in China, especially since she also voices Kiana in the original Chinese version of _Honkai Impact._
But even outside the Chinese VAs who do already sing for streams (eg Aether’s and Paimon’s and Xiao/Chongyun’s etc) and/or web songs (eg Ayato’s and Baizhu’s and Venti’s etc), Hu Tao’s VA-Tao Dian-is already known to sing thanks to her catchy rendition of the Hillichurl song. 😆
Also final note-to the person wondering “why someone would write an essay [for an Internet comment],” my response is…why not?
Conversations can be interesting, if not fun. ;P
Exactly! All of them were very good👍🏽
@@atriyakoller136 actually someone remastered English version without changing singing, just shifted it a bit to match the bit. And it's sounds so much better. So that one on sound engineering team

Everyone except me ig- I love the English one idc if it’s off beat but I just love it
I think the English one is really good actually, it just sounded a bit off because hoyoverse used the Chinese lyrics(the og lyrics) and they don’t fit that well into English but she still made it sound good
Yea- the VA did what they could and sounds good, but the balance and timing was a little off.
I just wish all of them were longer!

i like the Chinese and Korean versions but the way her voice goes just a little higher at the end in Eng is so cute lol
The English one definitely has a cute voice, but sad how they didn't change the rap or the music to really make it perfect
ikr
@@KiwiKamea the sad thing is that it's probably one of the best ways to translate the lyrics as close to the original as possible. But... They wouldn't do different music for different languages, because they'd need the Lyrics in advance, plus, the animation - as far as I remember from one of the Genshin VA's interviews for cutscenes they try to match the length of the phrase to the length of the animation, contrary to the regular in-game dialogue, and that's why the rap was off-beat. They probably should've shortened the lyrics but they did what they did.
Anyway, I'm actually not that sad about the English Hu Tao being off-beat, but the fact that to me the harmony of the opening line by Xinyan sounds off. Like the vocals and the instrumental parts just don't match very well, and it happens in all languages since the melody is the same
English version sucks because it’s really hard to translate rap from Chinese to English but easier for Korean

CN voice actress has the most relations with miHoyo. they Voice Kiana Kaslana one of the main characters from 3 of their previous games, Honkai impact 3rd, Gun Girl z and Fly me to the Moon. so she's very familiar with this kind of VA work from them.
Well its from a Chinese company who do you think its written first
It isn't the voice actors that were bad it was the lyrics cause it is dubbed
The game is from a chinese company, also have to tried listening to anime dubbed? Doesn’t sound quite right either huh?
I think its not, it's because the original game is Chinese, so the instrumental were made to sync with Chinese lyrics thus it sounds more natural IMO.
The rap wasn't released

English hu Tao is us trying to have a rap battle with one of our bffs in 3rd grade
I think she issue with the HuTao rap was that it was make for e original language which is Chinese so that is why it is really good. While the pother languages didn’t sync up well because of the syllables in the lyrics which made things feel off beat and therefore “not as good” but I still think all verisimilitude deserve their own praise for certain elements!
Bro I recently learned of verisimilitude and know I see you using it, bruh

I want to mention that people hate the English version just because it doesn't "flow well for a rap" the original lyrics were made for a Chinese speaker, so the pronunciation has more syllables. Therefore it matches the tempo of the song.
