    Wow, that was really useful! I liked that you showed the "don't". Now I see some of the reasons why my rolls have never come out quite right.

    Sadly enough, my hair refuses to hold curls, especially in this damp Scottish weather. I need to curl it overnight and then wear a headscarf that covers every little strand of hair, otherwise I'll have weird straight bits in the front.

    • @littlepinkskeleton
      @littlepinkskeleton 5 років тому +1

      I wear a shower cap and a scarf on top of it. It looks silly, but it works to preserve the curl. If the curls get tousled, I can just give them a light brush and all is good.

    Hello doll face I have been looking at your tutorials on victory rolls and 40's styles as my daughter wants me to achieve the style for her honours graduation on Wednesday 3rd July 2019 please wish me luck as I have never done this in my lifetime although I am 55yrs and she's 22yrs old your tutorials are the best by far once again wish me luck, one question what happens if I can't manage it as I might think it looks great but it could be rubbish.😩

    You are a life safer. I am playing Mrs. Daigel in The Bad Seed and I was terrified about doing my hair. She is such an important character and I was cast even though I am 20 years younger than the character and I wanted to stun them with my appearance being spot on. Now I can do just that. Would it be possible for you to do a tutorial on styling short vintage hair? As life would have it, I no longer have long hair to do victory rolls or much of any of the traditional vintage styles. My hair is growing back but as of right now is about pixie length and I'm really struggling to style it into any type of vintage fashion.... thoughts? Suggestions? Help? Please? Lol
    P.S. I've been watching your channel for quite a while, ❤ your videos.

    Hello doll. I'm wondering what to do with my hair now that is is extremely long, I don't want to cut it. It is also very thick. I'm having trouble doing vintage looking down-do's. Any suggestions? It's become so exhausting to try to do V rolls that my arms hurt. I've seen some video tutorials for vintage styles on 'long thick hair' but what some ladies consider long and thick, is not really long and thick to me. Thx!

      There are tons of things you can do with long hair. You can do plenty of updos. Not all women of those times wanted to cut their hair, so you're good to go. Milkmaid braids, chignons and victory rolls are a good option for an authentic look without cutting your hair. I recommend looking up ''Alicia Vintage'' here on UA-cam.

    Hello beautiful Cherry Dollface,
    I have a problem trying to get victory rolls because I have no hair due to medications that made my hair fall out plus a very large scar on the top to back of my head.
    I have been wearing real hair full lace wigs for over a year now and I have trouble getting victory rolls ( this is because I mainly cannot tease the wigs ) and I have to avoid the hairline as it would be seen as a wig easily.
    So ever since I had to cut off my hair all I can do is pincurl my hair and put in a hair accessory. (Not that I don't think that it is a great style), I'd just really like to do something different and I love the look of victory rolls on me.
    Please if you can help or know of a person on UA-cam who can do amazing vintage hairstyles in wigs I would really appreciate it.
    thank you.
    xxxx
    Miss Jelly Blossom

    • @salamane13
      @salamane13 8 років тому

      You might try making your rolls using bun doughnuts. You cut them so they are more of a long cylinder. You roll the hair around the doughnut. Gives a bigger look without teasing. If you leave some longer curls down along your hairline you should be able to put the rest up in the rolls. Though with a good lace front wig and a bit of work a full roll look should be possible.

    • @Thecherrydollface
      @Thecherrydollface  8 років тому

      Wig hair is different and can be styled without teasing. I would suggest getting a wig head that you can pin your wig to and style it off of your head. You actually have the benefit that other girls don't have! You can see all the way around it to get everything perfect and smooth!
