@@zerogyoro4521 That was also the theme of Persona 1 which, if they were releasing a remake of, would be far more relevant to than Shin Megami Tensei main line. No masks here. No personas. Just one really awkward video where nothing they talk about has anything to do with the game.

Fun Fact: Slipknot's first appearance in a video game was Infected on PSP. All members of Slipknot were playable and included 3 of their songs in the game (Eyeless, Everything Ends, & Pulse of the Maggots). Definitely a bloody good time.

I see that some people think such a collaboration is inappropriate. but I don’t agree with this opinion because Shin Megami is one of the darkest jrpg games. especially the original universe that first appeared in the books. what are we talking about when in the original book of this series there is a scene with biting off a vagina. In my opinion, the dark theme of metal music and the games of the Megaten series are quite compatible
I wasn't even surprised when I saw the notification. I think the only people maybe surprised are those who've only ever touched Persona. Anyone who's played an SMT game knows they are dark enough for a collab like this to definitely make sense.

It’s cool that they did this, tho I find it a little weird they chose SMT for this. Like they have a whole other franchise that is all about masks, it’s name even is mask in Latin. But personas probably isn’t slipknot’s aesthetic so it’s understandable

If you listen closely, they say absolutely nothing promoting the game lol. I will always love their first two albums.
The theme of masks would suit better if the game was Persona, the shadows and the pursuit of true self, but who am I to criticize Atlus/SEGA and it's habit of releasing unfinished games and later release the definite version making me buy the same game twice (happened with persona 4, 5 and now this).
Persona 4 was complete and at least golden wasn’t rereleased on the ps2

Yo, what I want from a future collaboration is an amazing track made together with Slipknot and the god composers from Atlus that would fit in well in a Shin Megami Tensei VI game.
