Looks beautiful as ever thanks to Kishida-san's artwork. Just wish there were more playable characters from previous Arland entries like Astrid, Gio, Pamela, Mimi, Cordelia, Rufus and Melvia.

I've played the atelier games since the ps2. They have mostly been lightheaded Jrpgs but this one looks pretty impressive. The series looks to be more grown up and more open ended. The atelier games have always had ups and downs. I know the 20 hour time limit has been abandoned multiple titles ago. I usually don't look to run through a game right away. I like to pace myself and see the ambiance of the game. I just hope this game isn't heavy on fetch quests. That turned me off from atelier Shellie. I love playing rpgs the longer the game with great depth and large variety of things to accomplish is something I enjoy. I'm trying to get every atelier game ever made including all 3 ps3 hd remaster on ps4. I know I have to import from Japan but completely worth it. I would like to see atelier ayesha remastered on ps4 or switch or both. I like the game a lot but the 20 hour time limit has to go. I thought the atelier series would have died years ago , because they usually aren't big seller's when gamestop sells them for $19.99 not that long after release. Trying to find older ones out in the wild can be difficult. Most retailers don't stock Jrpgs mainly gamestop , Amazon and independent sellers on eBay also koei tecmo website.

Maybe only the art style. I honestly loved the ones in the ps2 and mana khemia art. Other aspect looks improved though
Iris and Mana Khemia were actually the odd ones in the series. The ones both before and after those arcs are more laid back like this one.

Do these games have an English VO option again? I remember one of the games just straight up didn't have the option anymore and I stopped buying them. Have they since changed that or no?
They no longer budget for dubs. Out of control costume-riddled Season Passes replace the dubs now, and this game has THREE Season Passes

What about Atelier Annie? There was no English dub for that game. I know because I played it using a DS emulator on my tablet before.

Chaika Gaz I would recommend to play the Arland series, Atelier Rorona, Atelier Totori, Atelier Meruru. This because Lulua is from that universe. Start with Rorona!
Also, you can play the mysterious saga, with Atelier Sophie, Atelier Firis and Atelier Lydie and suelle.

Atelier Iris and Mana Khemia are vastly different compared to the more recent games. I liked them better, honestly.

The reason might be because the Atelier games before Iris were actually closer to the recent ones, which means Iris and Mana Khemia are the odd ones in the series (not saying they're bad or anything, I have yet to play them)

Atelier E/L was the only one I've played, well that I actually liked enough to finish...
Escha and Logy was definitely awesome. Still stands out among all of the Atelier series to this day.
Yeah, I haven't really been into this series since the Dusk trilogy. Them going back to Arland saga must be a sign of some sort.

I'm glad I met Atelier game... Underrated, but it satisfy my weebness for romance and slice of life rpg genre (eventhough romance part is little, but it was there)

Currently at the end of chapter 2 and it seems they like to use comical movement to emphasize her hyperactiveness. Context of the scene is her fangirling when she heard that they're going through Arls.

Dear PlayStation will the PlayStation 5 have better Super Sampling or 4K rendering. Like can I get 8K Super Sampling and can I watch 4K and 8K movies using Super Sampling, because that really big deal to me because I don't want throw away my 3D TV. Speaking of 3D will the PlayStation 5 still have a 3D player, that and PC fans have a way to play all there games in 3D. As always, minimum effort was put into animation and graphics for your average “anime game”.

@@gustr3851 Yeah, no. That wasn't out of censorship, that's down to different aspect ratios of the boxes. The PS4 box is wider while the Swich boxes are taller. What is there to censor on the cases if the game isn't censored? 🙄🙄🙄

The game isn't being censored anywhere at all. The switch port is always downgraded in graphics and even dips in freamrate in towns and such with sometimes things missing like trees, or bushes, and such. The game for everyone is always the PS4 as PS is where the series is well known for being and having all the Atelier games on so its more convenient of a place to have your collection.
