Hydros is a great option as a controller - there is a device coming out soon call the kraken that is part of a controller system will make battery backup and other stuff easier. You can add as large a car battery as you need
I will 100% take a look into this! Thanks for the advice!
Love how real this guy is…you’re going to crush this tank I have 0 doubt about it
Thanks :) there have been a few humbling moments thus far. Trying to show that this stuff is possible even if it’s a bit out of our comfort zone.
Go for it,!👍🏾
Go for it. Looking forward to the progression of it.
Thanks for joining in on the journey!
Im here for the ride brotha! Keep the videos coming and I guarantee you'll take off, I know I love series like these.
Sweet! Glad to have you! Hopefully I can get the next video up here in the morning. Summer showed up today so we were out playing all day. Gotta take advantage of those 70 degree days when they're here :)
Was up from OC California. Have lots of fun on your build. By the way you should create a section called “ smashed the equipment”. Where you get to smashed because it failed miserably 😅
Heyyyyooooo! My home town!!!
Do not tempt me with a good time! I might have to kick that up a notch and drop it out of an airplane or something. Maybe have a moose stomp it or something :)
All comments count! Good luck brother!
🎉 thanks!!
Hey bud looking forward to seeing how this all goes bud
I've been up and running for about 6 months. Just posted an update. UA-cam didn't notify me that anyone was watching or commenting, so I kinda forgot about this channel. Now that I know people want to see more, I'm posting more.
I used to live in Yukon ok! Living in Florida now such a small world lol
Oh sweet! How’s Florida for reefing?
@@AlaskaReef it’s awesome! However I didn’t get into the hobby until moving out here! But as you could imagine it’s great! I’m interested to see what it’s like in Alaska.
The selection in Oklahoma was thin, however, shipping was MUCH easier than up here. It’s honestly easier to catch an alaska air flight to LAX, pick out my coral and fish, then fly home. #foreshadowing
I love this. Totally on board to watch. How’s the project coming, brother?
Thanks! Just posted an update! More content coming!
@@AlaskaReef You’re back! Heck yeah!
Where in Alaska? I’m in Fairbanks. It is indeed tougher to run a reef tank here. Good luck!
Wooo! A fellow reefer in alaska! I’m down in anchorage. Might have to fly up to you and say hi!
Wow. Are there any fish stores nearby? I'm considering moving to Fairbanks
I would also look at a hydros controller because each component is a back up brain for the controller system
I've been looking into those as well. There's a lot that has changed in 5 years! :)
I'll be damned, another reefer lifer. 😁 If I went to mars, first thing would be setting up a tank.
So. Freaking. True! It's not a hobby, it's a lifestyle. If you set a tank up on mars, what would be the first coral you'd bring with you to put in it?
@@AlaskaReef Like You, I would pay the shipping to mars to bring My coral mix . nothing fancy ,some hammers, shrooms , what's left of My zoe garden. They are fam.
See. I like you even more. I use to do the “coral crazes” but now just love to have a nice variety. I want to see the Zoa Garden! I’m planning a zoa garden. I’ll cover it on a video where I talk about my stocking plans
Nice right down the street from mustang. You in Anchorage or Fairbanks?
Woohoo! I miss mustang! We're in Anchorage because Fairbanks gets cold to the 10th power.
What problems have you had with the Radeons? I’m about to set up another tank after about 3 years off!
I kept having issues with overheating and then the light shutting down. They were run with fans, then open top, I've had nothing but good things to say about my Hydra's
Hey guys do yall know if hes a woodworker?
Lol. I’ll make sure to repeat it a few more times in other videos. ;)
