- Today I'm building the stand for my 90 gallon reef tank in Alaska.
This is part 2 of the stand and canopy build. I'm excited to share my DIY journey of building a custom Reef Tank Stand and Canopy for my Alaskan reef tank that perfectly matches my kitchen aesthetic. Join me as I combine my love for reefing with a touch of creativity and craftsmanship.
As I've said probably a dozen times - I'm not a professional woodworker. However, armed with some fancy tools, I'm able to bring my vision to life and create a stand and canopy that will elevate the beauty of my mixed reef tank. This video focuses on the stand build, showcasing the process from start to finish.
While this video is not a step-by-step DIY tutorial or a guide, it offers a behind-the-scenes look at my personal journey. It also shows that literally anyone can build a nice looking aquarium stand if they take the time, have a few tools, and watch a whole lot of UA-cam for guidance.

Is the Wagner loud? I bought a cup style and it was loud. I’ve used airless sprayers (dad was a painter) and those are not to loud.
Not at all! I use it all the time and it's a lot quieter than the cup style with the compressed air.
