      @@MoonlightGrahamCracker Yeah, Judge knows that ball is worth life-changing money. You can sell it, give all the cash to a financial advisor, and live off the dividends for the rest of your life. (It’s already valued at several million dollars.)

      @ericschminke8233 Рік тому

      @owningall I'm soft? Let's see how "soft" I am.
      I was a fan of a baseball team that had a whopping 5 winning seasons over the last 34 years they played at Municipal Stadium. (1965, 1968, 1976, 1981 (By all of 1 game.), and 1986). I was a fan of a team that, during that 34-year period, finished last 8 times and finished higher than 4th just once. (3rd in 1968) The Indians didn't see post-season play for 40 years, so cheer up Mariners fans. It could've been much worse.
      If you, your family, and friends like "Guardians" then that's your right, but I don't, and neither do countless others. I hate political "correctness" and always will.
      If anyone's "soft", it's the hypersensitive p. c. fanatics who have tried to siphon the fun and enjoyment out of life for countless people who meant no harm and have left comparable numbers on edge for fear that even a compliment will be considered "insensitive".
      The 2022 baseball season produced several wonderful memories. Perhaps chief among them was Aaron Judge smacking an AL record-setting 62 homeruns. I'm very happy for Judge, and I'm no Yankees fan.
      This post is much longer than planned, so I must sign off.

    Aaron deserves the MVP. With pitchers using technology to recreate 99 MPH two seamers and sinkers, and In a year where offense is down league wide (to the point that MLB is changing the rules to input more offense), Aaron puts a 60+ HR season and is that much ahead of the league in almost every offensive category, including the new-ish nerdy ones. He has put the team on his back for the last two months.

      Agree but there are people out there who literally think Ohtani should get it every year because of the two way game. Vladdy got hosed last year and it wouldn't shock me to see judge lose it, even if he wins the triple crown. H should be going for his scond MVP but there is anti Yankees bias as well. Ohtani stole ROY in 2018 even though he missed hallf of the season, beting out Andujar and Gleybor. Mattingly was hosed in 1986 because they gave it to Clemons, a pitcher. yt in 1978 wouldn't give it to Guidrey because he's a pitcher and they had the Cy Young. Rice won it in 1978. Yankees aren't loved by the national media.

      @@veritasinvicta8128 Tbf to Ohtani he is a statistical anomaly when it comes to the sport being that only 1 player has played how he does so scaling his value to a team is much harder than just scaling how valuable a pitcher or position player is. His value is usually equated as two different players rather than just one so until it is normalized and we have an idea of how valuable he really is(by putting him on a good team or by developing stats for it) he will prob have an mvp case every year.

      106-56! Know what this is? Oh that's right its the Astros American League best record. You can say all your want to about how great your Yankees are but they play second fiddle to my Astros. Also my Astros went 5-2 against the Yankees and held them to a low low .151 average in those seven games. And my Astros have had great postseason success against the Yankees as well and if they were to meet up again this postseason, I feel my Astros would eliminate the Yankees once again. Astros had the best ERA in the American League with a 2.90 ERA and a best bullpen ERA of 2.80. Yankees over all pitching had an ERA of 3.30 and a bullpen ERA of 2.97. So once again my Astros are the superior pitching staff over the Yankees. And our postseason pitching will once again be dominate like it has been in years past. Yankees wont get their 28th World Series Championship this season. GO ASTROS GO!!!!!

      Agree. Ohtani's 2022 season will go down as one of the greatest all-time for someone who didn't win MVP. On top of that he is an extremely classy competitor whose love for the game is infectious. Btw he doesn't rake "on both sides of the plate" since he's not a switch hitter, but he does dominate on both sides of the ball as a hitter and pitcher.
