People don't suck for taking a narcisists side. Getting people to take their side is what narcassists do, people don't suck when their empathy and good nature is taking advantge of.

Yes. I've come to the conclusion that people who support the narcissists suck too. Some people might just be on the fringes and be fooled by the carefully crafted image. That's just not knowing which is blameless. We had narcissistic parents who treated us appallingly. My two (much loved) brothers didn't survive. Yet we had an Aunt, two Uncles and a grandmother who knew our circumstances and still supported the parents against the children - for life. Easier for them I suppose. To my mind that sucks.
I imagine that my ex disparaged me to his church members when they asked why I ended the relationship. And why wouldn't they believe him? He's a deacon and religious studies leader. Gotta love the irony.
No I will never accept it, but I will always choose to shrug my shoulders and move on. Close the book, do something else. If the story sucks, why continue to waste your time on reading it? Just close the book.

That only works if your nervous system is along for the ride. If the triggers reach the point they need addressing the book has to be re-opened
That's the point (of the video). You can't change who they are or keep people from siding with them. Accept that and move on.
